I was at this game and the final result didn’t reflect the game. Eagles had more scoring shots and more inside 50s. A west coast kid Flynn destroyed Draper. !. Eagles x2 Hawks, Saints, Crows, Tigers, North, Dogs, GWS...... TOP 4 LOCK WHAT A THREAT.. All of those teams sit bottom 6 aside from Dogs and GWS... meanwhile Carlton has Lions, Tigers, North, Freo, GWS, Demons, Suns, Port, Dons, Cats... All those teams aside from the first 2 sat inside the top 8 when Carlton played them.. Essendon does not compete with the calibre that is a top 4 side despite what the ladder says, that is all down to their draw. Essendon are definitely a top 8 side, but they are nowhere near on merit and on threat a top 4 side.
