@@Model3GenerativeANdroidwell the supercharged v8s typically get into the low 4.xx or high 3.xx, so for a turbo 4 cylinder to do a 6.50, yeah that's pretty good.
@@RecklessLilJCarl is doing it on stock block the Honda has a billet block. They make ecotec billet engines that are good for 3000+ horsepower out of a 4 cylinder. Carl is making 2000+ on stock block
@@randorseywilliams9772 There is guy with a Ford 4 cyl that drops the clutch at 10 grand rpm and pops wheelies and it is fast but there is the modified bugs that are fast too .
There used to be a guy in Canada, he went by the screen name SUPRFLY if I remember right, that modified the G10 found in the Metros and several other cars. 20 years ago I bought a top end package from him for $350. It had a ported, polished, and milled head. A custom camshaft. An adjustable timing gear. As well as upgraded valves. It REALLY woke the car up and made it a blast to drive!!!
From what I have heard, that guy is a complete asshole. Ask anyone that used to do business with tsi transmission around Chicago. Bruno was the landlord. And completely unfair . Hey , that is the word around here.
@@Nyquilxsprite it's a gm engine that comes in cobalts/ion/g5/cavalier/sunfire... the one this car and the fastest 4 cyl in the world carl brunet are running is a 2.2l that comes out of the base models of the cars I listed above. That's pretty much what I know about those..
@@prithvirajjadhav5500 I have see one faster but it was basically half of a Top Fuel Dragster engine with a DOHC head and running on nitro. It ran mid 5's and made about 4000hp.
That's a moment that you couldn't swallow your own spit if you had to. I can't imagine being in full control of that much power. He does it gracefully 👍
For those wondering and if Im correct, that might be the L61 Ecotec and was on a lot of early to mid 2000s GM cars, including the Alero and Grand Am which if you find a manual variant of one, theyre exelent beginer cars to learn manual on, theyre not quick but they aint gutless either.
I had one of these in my integra back in the day.... Let's just say the car is no more but I was never able to catch the motor... Rumor has it, it's still going back and forth and rt 66
Turbos are really fuel efficient but wouldn't a blower just give you more boost. I think a boosted inline 6 would probably really go cuz they're naturally balanced and smoother. The power is in the RPMs, you got to get into like 14 to 18,000. These engines are lighter than the v8s so they have their advantages and in F1 they've raced every engine configuration you could ever imagine and they were all successful. For the slicks to hook up you need some weight too so that means a heavy engine like a V8 helps with that but say an iron block M3 engine doesn't require such huge slicks and so you know that rotating mass at the rear of the vehicle is energy you've got to create. I really like the way this guy did it his way, building a custom dragster, you get the idea and then you just go after it. $$$ I don't mean to be annoying but.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hSCDtwn8oLg.htmlsi=DzFrXqZP2nVUbEXe
Ecotech ain't no joke. My 2003 cavalier coupe had one and that thing factory alone would get up and go. God I wish I kept that car. First one of 2003 released.
You realize that's a tv show and he could do anything with his eyes closed compared to the others. Apparently you've never been to the track when he's there wrenching, just him and his dad. 😄👍
@@RACEYOURRIDE also if bruno is so great at wrenching then why is it that joe zolper did all of the wrenching? Sorry i didnt know that you had a thing for bruno. Oh i'm so sorry. Rofl.
@@RACEYOURRIDE no dipstick i just asked you if bruno is the master wrencher then why was zolper always the one doing the wrenching. I guess everything ive asked has gone beyond your comprehension. Its time for you to put up or shut up. Again if bruno is so good at wrenching then why was it always joe doing the wrenching? I asked a simple question karen. Obviously you dont know so i guess i'll have to find someone who does.
I had a Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. Nice car. Plenty of snort when called! I'll NEVER own a turbo again! Want a new muffler? Oh. Turbo. Cost you more... Want new spark plugs? Oh. Turbo. Cost you more!! New brakes? Forget about it!!
I wanna see a fully built 4G63T in one of those, like Brett Rau or John Sheppards 4G63!, Brett Rau was already able to run that time in a 2g Eclipse with engine front to back running rear wheel drive
Seems weird to not have some kind of screen over the intake of the turbo. It would be all too easy to suck in a pebble that was kicked up by the tires.
