I love the meal planner idea. I don't have kids, but I think this is brilliant! I love the simplicity of it. You are setting yourself and your family up for success! They are lucky to have a mom that cares and loves them like you do. 💖
Hi Melissa. I no longer have school-age children or grandchildren. My granddaughter is 26 now but I wanted you to know that this idea of the binders helped me anyway. I made a binder for all my hurricane repairs and different contractors and bids And insurance papers and things like that. Also I made a binder with medical and hospitalization information. These are the two areas I was having trouble keeping together and understanding where I was in the process. I know your husband is in the business of hospital administration or something like that but I am having so much difficulty because I was in two different hospitals three times within a months time. All the information I’m getting I’m having so much trouble understanding what hospital stay it was for etc. The hospitals have similar names but one is here locally and one is in Houston. It has been so confusing so this binder situation is really helped me. thank you for helping me to figure this out. Love in Christ
@@MelissaHuenergardt I got the binder idea from another video you did previously where you showed a binder for your clothes. It’s so neat how sometimes your videos are intended for one thing but can be used for almost anything. It’s been very helpful
Hi Melissa! I love how organized you are! I wish my kids were young again, so I can follow your lead. :) I'm going to suggest your ideas to my daughter-in-laws. :)
My kids are out of the house now but when they were in school, I would save any artwork or papers they had in a file for each year they were in school. I scrapbooked their school years this way. I love your organization that you have incorporated for your family.
Thanks so much for sharing these school organizing tips! I also have a Senior in high school (girl), so I'd love to hear your ideas for doing anything special for them as the year goes on...i.e. I'm planning a big party with family and friends as she chose to "pass" on a Sweet 16 and didn't feel like doing much during the covid school years. I'd like to make this extra special for her. Would love to see if you're also helping with organizing all the pre-college planning stuff too, if that applies in your son's case. Thanks again for sharing, I enjoy your content a lot.
Hi! Christian is going to have a 18th party (with his whole class) right after school starts that way everyone is back from all of their travels. We are doing a pool party in the backyard while we play JAWS on a big screen that I got from Amazon. We are catering bbq and I am providing the sides along with donuts and smore's.
Great video . Melissa i do understand about what kids, is going thourgh, with social media, ect. I always tell my grandchild, not to stres about what people think about her , we have to stres what our Lord think about us , people can really be rude , that's on them . Love your videos 💖💖
I love the idea of a school binder! Putting that on my list to work on this week. My helpful tip for school is to take “first day of school” pictures before the actual first day. We usually do it the Friday before school starts and it literally takes 5 minutes for them to put their uniform on and take a picture. The first day is always just a little crazy as we get back into that rhythm. Taking the picture before ensures that I actually take one and no one is feeling extra rushed.
You are just brilliant! I love the coat closet. Makes finding everything a breeze. The school binder is so well divided the father and the kids can access it should they need anything.
Love the video. You are my soul sister! Your organizational skills bring me joy! I keep all my recipes in binders and have them organized by season. However, I like the weeks 1&3 and 2&4 ideas and I especially love the matching on-line grocery list! Question if I may ... regarding recipes you use from books, do you retype the recipe to put into your binder or do you just make a note to reference the book and page? I'm so happy to see you getting back to the things you love to do - praying for your continued health. Thank you for all the helpful tips and ideas - I adore you!
Aw, you're sweet. As for my book recipes - I scan the page in my notes section of my phone, send the file to myself in a text, and then open the text in my computer and print it. I hope that helps!
@@MelissaHuenergardtWhile I was typing the question, I knew you had a very efficient way to do it!!! Yes, that helps. Now I have to call my son. who is an IT expert, to walk me through these instructions. Thank you so much!
I would be LOVE to see some more of your cooking videos where you are making QUICK, yet delicious, recipes. I have to admit, making dinner is one of my most stressful parts of my day after a busy day at work. Thank you!
Melissa you are absolute Mom goals!! We are getting ready for 6th grade and sports as well and you have the best sister and organization!! Thank you soooo much!!!
Thank you so much!! You are very welcome. SOOOooo much more to come as we enter in to the new school year, Fall fun, and holiday festivities. Stay tuned!
Good ideas. I’m not in that season of my life any longer, but I did have similar methods and routines for smoother mornings. I hope you have a good week.
Our 3 boys are all out of school now but love your school year organization! Just have to say too that I have that v-neck "pullover" (in 7 colors) and mine don't look nearly as good on me as that looks on you!😊 Plus, they are so soft🩶
I stumbled upon your channel a few days ago & so glad I did! 😀 I’m a mama of 3 from Ohio 😊 Two boys & a girl 😊 Our boys are in their early 20’s & daughter in high school as well 😀 They’re all athletes too! Thank you for the idea for the shoes! And how do you keep their hot lunches good until their lunch time? Do you use an ice pack & then they heat them up in a microwave at school? 😊 Hope you have a great day! 😊🤗
I just checked out the 'Downshiftology" cookbook from the library. Any favorite recipes? I have to be gluten-free and am interested in recipe reviews you have tried. I figure if your children like the recipes then my picky husband will, too.
Hi Melissa - would you consider selling or sharing a "template" of the pages you used in your recipe binder? Looks like you may have created them in Canva? I'd love to use them as a starting point for creating my own binder. :)
This is the problem and epidemic with kids like this in today's society. Growing up we ate what was put in front of us, were grateful that we had food on the table and had to clean our plates. This entitled society that some kids in this generation are growing up in is part of the problem and going to be a bigger problem going forward. The parents are 100% to blame for the sense of entitlement.
So out of everything she so kindly put out there in this video, this was all that you could think of as a comment 😒 You are a beautiful person Melissa and so are your, practically grown, children ♥️
This is interesting that you see my asking my kids opinion on what they would like to eat, me raising them to be entitled? When you go to a restaurant, do the servers just bring out what they want you to eat, or do they hand you a menu and you choose what you would like to eat? Because you receive a menu, are you then entitled? In life, we find what we are looking for and I am sorry that you chose to find negativity in this space. Have a beautiful day.
