Sucks to see Huggie go out like that. Always had a ton of respect for the man, but dude’s got some personal demons to exercise. You don’t get to that point without them…

1st time watching your cast and it’s really well done! Now following! WVU alum here and live in Morgantown and today seemed like a day after someone you knew died. I think we all (speaking of WVU fans) knew this had a high probability of happening, it’s still sad and upsetting, but not unbelievable. Just glad no one got hurt in this. It’s more sad that Huggins has done so much to help so many people (I know this for fact), but couldn’t help himself. I immediately thought of my buddy (who’s an assistant coach for WVU) and his family when I heard this early in the morning. Huggins, hopefully, will be okay, it’s those that worked for him that I’m concerned about.

Almost knew when the DUI news came out this morning that was all she wrote, same thing happened before his tenure ended at cincy, sadly poetic in a way. Separating the person from the coach, like it or not he coached some really tough nosed players with a lot of heart. He will be missed between the lines.

My guy said WVU isn't a top 25 program. You know you're on a college basketball show, right? Yeah, they had a slump from 90-00(probably your formative years) but with wins alone, they are top 25. Resources top 25. Postseason appearances and wins top 25. And so on. Hot take wouldn't call wvu a top 25 program.

Someone wrote an article a couple years ago about the best programs from this century and had WVU at 24. They’re right there around 25, Norlander is fine with his take.

I'd also push back on the some history remark; dude could at least look at the Wiki. Next thing you know he is gonna say who is Jerry West, and the old Big East was soft in CBB.

To be fair it wasnt the DUI that got him. It was the DUI being used in place of his gay slurs. DUI by itself wasnt enough to get a legend like Bob Huggins.

Because this was his second DUI, I disagree. One is bad but (as long as no one was hurt) you can ultimately show it was a terrible mistake and you learned from it. Two and you lose every benefit of the doubt out there. Lots and lots and lots of people have lost loved ones to drunk drivers (I have, stepfather 22 years ago). It's abhorrent, especially given the details of this one.

I'm one of those who hadn't heard at all about the arrest. Wow. Really sad. DUIs alone are inexcusable. A second DUI is disgustingly reprehensible. I lost my stepfather 22 years ago to a drunk driver. I lose every ounce of respect for someone after that, and it's a miracle no one got hurt. F that dude.
