Heard back from Google Play this morning. No refund because the situation doesn't meet their policy requirements. 😡 Now I'm torn between playing out the season to at least feel like I got my money's worth, even though it's ultimately pointless, or say screw it. On one hand, the letter said they would archive our game data, so maybe there's hope of picking back up later. But on the other, I'm mad that they waited 5 days after the season started and everyone who was going to make a big purchase had already done so before they announced the shutdown. That's sh*tty. 🤬
US is by no means the largest part of DH community. If any region is predominant in this game, it is Asia. I am on SUmmerwatch 1 server, look just how many Asian character names are on Vortex leader board in the first 20 or 50. THere are entire alliances of just Korean or CHinese players, also Russian alliances. Those alliances that say language : English, are mixed, people from EU, other countries, and just some of them are from the US. Just cause most of your audience on youtube is from the US, doesn't mean most of the players in the game are from the US. You have subscribers who follow you from Raid or other games. And CCs, Ivy and you, Romania, Stew - Japan, Skratch - not US, VanHorn - not US, SkyAsterix, Gorax, Ragewood...actually are there CCs from US? Maybe Hypsudo and that is it, tons of Russian CCs, etc. And yes, the game will BOUNCE OFF, as you say, because this decision doesn't appeal to you, but merger was amazing because we got news that DH will be handed over to a completely new studio, not SGRA, so in the future, we need to give them time, I bet all those wrong things SGRA did, will be corrected and the game can only go to better, cause SGRA simply had no vision and didn't know what to do with the game. I know it's unfair to all the US players, my account is not US based, but we will continue to enjoy the game, and I have no worries the game will completely die out, this is just one part of it. My alliance has players from the UK, France, the Phillipines, China, Malaysia, and just a few from the US. Your emotions are hurt, because you love the game, and it's understandable. Stay strong
Exactly. People from the US always seem to consider themselves to make up the majority of everything and if something affects the US it is usually "Doom" for everyone else as well. Don't get me wrong: For US players it sucks, badly. However, the effect is probably much less than the US based CC are trying to convince themselves and their playerbase. Andf if see the views from country xyz being brought up as an argument ... geez ... even though - for example - most Germans tend to speak English pretty well, they will still only watch and communicate mostly in the mother tongue and it's even worse for countries like France who often outright refuse to listen or communicate in English at all. Pretty sure the impact won't be as big as most think ^^
it's due to US regulation, just like they try to ban tiktok. no other countries are affected. besides Asia and EU are the biggest markets for them, so it's not that dead

This is a bummer. I just started play a little over a month ago and was really enjoying it. Oh well. I feel grateful i didnt invest a lot of time and money in the game but also feel bad for those who did...crazy
From what Stew Gaming was saying is that the game is being pulled from SGR and given to a different studio to "remake". I guess Tencent now owns the game. So if Tencent is doing that plus the US government put sanctions on the game (rumored data collection issues) it was a matter of time before this game crashed.
You cannot play through vpn, as location doesn't matter where you are at the moment, your account ID will be flagged as US and you won't be able to log in
Season 2 will end in one month from me. I wasn't planning on spending any $$$ on it, so I'll just wrap it up once the season ends. I was already planning on stopping playing it. So, I'm good with it.

It's the US not allowing the game in the region due to anti monopoly laws (in theory, but this is more related to a economic war between China and US). So it's not a scam, blame the US government for this. I'm sorry and I can sympathise with all the US players, this is very unfortunate.
I started 3 months ago, played 3 weeks, only logged in 4 times after. S1 came and went. I can't keep up with a game that requires a constant commitment to play it in order to maintain gear. I would have liked to have experienced the story.
Seems dead alright, but maybe giving the whole info wouldnt hurt. US is 30% of players, not 50%. And the closing down of US servers is due to US comercial standing "against" tencent. Again, it really seems like a slow death, but maybe it isnt, and giving the whole info is the right thing to do.
Even 30% would destroy the game long term, don't you think? And it truly depends on how much Americans spend vs other markets; losing an average $30 a week vs monthly matters more than region and Americans are pretty free about spending on almost anything
@@rodClark717 Even losing a 30% is pretty bad, obviously. But there are a lot of games that dont operate on the US and "survive". Anyway, I'm in Europe and I'm not putting a single € in the game until seeing where it is, i dont know, 6-9 months from now, Maybe it gives you an idea of the confidence I have on its future atm.
I started playing on launch and played for a week after finding out it had seasons with resets. Tried to come back for another chance and then got bored after a day cause it felt P2W with the heliolite dies. If a game has you doing that, it's a red flag imo.

I spent a decent amount on this game, because I felt like they put a lot of effort into it, and it’s the only mobile game that I found that was worth supporting. But, I also assumed that I’d get to play it for… idk… as long as I wanted..? And sending people a bunch of in game junk, who have spent a lot of money, feels like more of a slap in the face than anything, lmao
only in season 2 here but just renewed my daily login material purchase, so want that back but might finish season 2 since it will finish before that date and then when it resets for season 3 i will be done. very annoying though. if they will refund the couple dollars then maybe I stop playing mid-season.

the thing is this is a possible scenario for every game in that kind of Genre. BUT ending Service in the US doesnt mean end of the game. the problem is the exact reason WHY they did this? in that post especially i couldnt read of a reason "why" is it possible because the put more effort for us than they got profit out of that, maybe most us players arent active in the game right now?....we just dont know. and because of that is hard to say...this game is dying or ending, actually its not just except for the us, and the us is "maybe" the greatest market, but that means also its the greatest effort you have to put in there. if other regions will follow the us in ending service, then yeah i would definately share the thinking. lets hope the best for this game, and because i doe that i wont quit playing, just because of closing just one region! PS: For us players yeah a shame, feel sorry for you guys, especially if you put much money in this.
I actually like Dragonheir but I quit about 3 weeks ago because it’s just too much to juggle between Dragonheir and Raid. Raid is pretty time consuming so never any time.. I think the idea is good. I think the character models are amazing! Just no time to play and sad to see it go. It seems like a funding issue. Keeping those servers up costs tons of money and they are probably not getting a good return in the US market.
I’m so sad that my favorite game is going to be gone in two months!!!! I truly loved the game and am going to attempt to make it look like I’m in Mexico so I can still play , if I am successful I will share my methods

My best take away from this experience is I will never play a gacha again and will strongly encourage everyone to do the same. I want to know how the DnD people feel about this and the lawsuits to follow.
even thou i aint a US player, i would go as far to say this is bad overall company practice and it would have put me off the game in general and others from other regions should also boycott spending on this game due to actions of the company
Yes, once the merger is completely over, a new studio will run DH, and thank god, cause SGRA have the best possible gacha ever, they just had no vision. So now when smart people take over it will flourish, just give it time. I can't wait to keep playing in the future, get new heroes each season and meet amazing new endgame boss, cause lets face it, no other gacha has such an amazing boss as we will experience in S4, GO Aschetius!!!
I will never play anything related to this company again, no matter what it is, if it took my money in this game there is no guarantee that it won't do it again
All the top Vortex players are Korean (according to their names), why did you decide that the US market is the most important? In general, it seems strange to me that all the players attacked the developers, as if it was their decision, and not the authorities’ revenge for the fact that Tencent refused to sell them TikTok.
I showed you my stats on my channel and you saw the biggest group was US. Doesn't matter that the top ones in Vortex are korean, doesn't mean that's majority of the playerbase

If you look at the audience of Asiriec (a Russian-speaking blogger participating in the affiliate program), I can bet that there will be 90% of viewers from Russia and 2% from the US. Surely Korea also has its own bloggers, with a completely different coverage. Therefore, these data are not representative. I hope you don’t consider this an attempt to challenge your opinion - it's not my goal. Just trying to be optimistic. I'm not from the US (English is not my first language as well) and I hope that recent events don't become a critical issue for game development, because I really enjoy it. After 5 years of playing Raid (the last two were just endless frustrating grind) - I finally found a worthy alternative and will be very disappointed if its path ends now.

Sound like the company that bought the developer house has decided to shut the game down. Time to look elsewhere for a new game that’s as fun as this. Am also going to stop ingame purchases for any future mobile cloud based games as I feel that they don’t really give any value. Btw am a European player
Glad you ditched it earlier. I said before they did it that seasons would kill the game. It was marketed as innovative and CCs thought it was novel and interesting, most people don't want half of their effort erased every few months though. Isn't this car awesome? 2 months later you get the fluids drained and you're on concrete blocks but a €2000 check is in the mail to buy your stuff back. Nobody would be ok with that.
As a user in the US, I'm very upset. I have invested a substantial amount of time and money into this game and for it to be gone in two months without a reason is unprofessional. The compensation sent is pathetic compared to what I will be losing. I will not ever play or invest in a SGRA game again.
There won't be an SGRA game again, another studio will handle DH from now on, and make it ten times better. And no, your money is not wasted, they clearly said you can get refunded
