Thinking back to the end of the Duke game, when Sam Hartman waited 15 minutes to see if Riley Leonard was ok, and show him respect for the warrior he was on the feild, that act of kindness was probably the #1 reason Riley is a Fighting Irish!!💚🍀🍀🍀🍀

I was at the Duke game,I honestly thought he alone was going to win the game against the Irish. I remember the years of Tony Rice! The Irish have a guy in Leonard that will remind us older fans of him!

It’s a good sign when highly touted quarterbacks are looking to come to Notre Dame. They had a few options I’m sure in terms of where to go, they chose the Team, the University, the class load, and the Lady on the Dome

If you're committed to bringing in transfers, Riley seems to be a great fit. Really like the kid. Still seems like an indictment of the staff's ability to develop quarterbacks though.

Sam Hartman was a friend of Riley Leonards, and I believe Sam was the one who drew Riley to Notre Dame. Once Sam called him up and told him how good he was treated at Notre Dame, it was nothing like he had ever been treated before, Riley wanted to come there as well. Sam Hartman loves Notre Dame and he said that he wished that he had come there as a freshman, but Notre Dame wasn't looking at him like most of College Football Coaches. Riley on the other hand, Notre Dame did look at him out of High School.

It's an interesting place to be in for Marcus. I appreciate the sense of urgency that's driving him to go to the portal to have the best chance of competing for a 'ship in '24, but if QB2/QB3 get the same amount of game snaps they did this year, we'll be heading in to '25 with (still) an inexperienced starting QB. I don't think he wants to keep hitting the portal for starting QBs, so he should make sure to get Angeli/Minchey/Carr (whoever QB2 is) in to the games WAY earlier than this past season, so that guy can be as ready as possible when he steps in to the spotlight for real.

I think Parker would be able to understand play calling running the wing T for 2024…. It’s a high school offense and that’s about all he has the competency of running effectively
