The fact that the sims didn’t even have an animation for the break up just a text box shows the level of laziness. For an ep every little thing should have been animated I’m not understanding what’s going on rn.
I was just about to say that! The sim wasn’t even standing near her partner, she was talking to someone else, and all she got was a sentiment and a pop up, sims are always doing things next to each other, not with each other 🙄, crazy how we got an animation to fake a phone call to end a date, but didn’t bother to animate a divorce or breakup, couldn’t even be bothered to re use the old animation since this pack is just a ton is previous features reskinned
I completely understand why it's a pop up. With how often I and other players cancel out other sims trying to interact with my sim, I would have prevented a breakup or ruined a proposal by accident if it was an animation. Pop-ups force the event onto our sims as a consequence of our gameplay/ actions.
I actually can't believe that this is $40 dollars. I actually cannot believe it. We justified it with the horse pack because of animations, but this, this is actually crazy.
They couldve just made Dine Out free for everyone (not surprised they didnt) to add restaurants around or just mini ones like small bistros. Thats what youd expect from a romance pack, romantic dates. Not another gym 💀
I’m very confused how my wedding stories and werewolves were both gamepacks but this is an expansion pack with the same (if not less) content. Make it make sense…. 😒
I'm tired of the whole genre. Something dramatic either has to happen to it in the opposite direction or i'm walking away in general. Truth be told I'm done with the sims. If i could find all my sims 2 stuff again id play it because it's the only one I've ever loved out of all of them, i wasn't that big a fan of sims 3 so i personally wouldn't play that game because the gameplay's too different from sims 2 for me, but as for sims 4 and anything else that comes after it from EA and or the current sims team, i'm done, i don't care what it looks like in the future or what it plays like, i'm done. Its either sims 2 again, a whole different direction for the future franchise, or some other company making their own life sims. I'm not considering the current non sims life sims being developed like Inzoi and Paralives because i don't like Paralives and Inzoi doesn't have that much customizations or options in it for me to care about it.
Og sims players with self respect know very well what an expansion pack is and should be. This one is UI simulator with recycled contents, ideas and systems with rabbit hole careers and hotel. So you’re paying to match romantically with someone and arrange a date. Growing together & MWS for romance. I’m looking forward a friendship expansion pack that’s all about friendship dynamics
Its sad that they really dont want to add new animations to this game. I feel like those weights should be functional and there should just overall be more life in this game.

After watching the live stream, I believe the developers are a big part of the problem with packs and their content. The developers are too eccentric and quirky. Their tastes dominate the CAS & build buy and that's why the style is limited, tacky and recycled with each pack. In this case, this is a romance/sex pack. They were awkward asf about presenting the features of the pack. It's almost as if they are uncomfortable with the topic of sex & dating but they were in charge of the mechanics of a romance pack. If you listen to how they giggle and find excitement in the corniest things, you will see what I mean.
Yes I just feel they’re weird and a bit deviant. They’re outcasts. This game is supposed to be for all but they are weird so they make it for them, the school pack being made by a trans who hated HS was a great example.
I doubt the developers make final decisions without input from members of the team. Eccentricity and quirkiness are key characteristics of previous sims games. I’m just curious, what style would you have liked to see in CAS & Build/buy?
Besides the graphical art stye, that's one of the other reasons why i don't plan on playing Paralives.... I took one look at their dev team and it completely turned me off. They all look like they grew up in the same house. I'm tired of these game companies only hiring their clones and injecting only themselves in these games, been there done that with sims 4, i'm not wasting my time again with another one doing that. I don't even like people like that, i'm sick of playing life sims with the "keep it weird in Portland" Californian soymilk vibe.... I want graunchy, street, country, loads of different feels, vibes aesthetics, a game made for general people and not just hipster white gen z girls in bay area towns on the west coast >.> If they went out of their way to get different personalities, then the games wouldn't feel like they're only made for one type of people and that nobody else is served.
And yes i agree, the sims 4 team are annoyingly corny, they think everyone love ugly lime green pizza t-shirts as much as they do and only add whack crap like that to the game 🙄
I think devs lack passion and I don't mean it in the sense that they don't like their work; but that they really don't play nor care for The Sims. We grow up with 3 games made with love and care and that's being lacking and very noticeable for the past decade.
And they left out anyone under teen sims AGAIN cause they don't wanna model anything that doesn't have an adult physique. Is it too difficult??? I'd think not cause I have eyelashes for ALL ages (INCLUDING INFANTS) 🤨 it just feels so lazy all over.
I'm tired of UI. The Sims 4 is getting way too detailed it's boring. I'm not playing the sims to read text and check boxes. It can already take hours sometimes to create a family in CAS, so I'd wish for new EPs to have simple UI features and actual real new gameplay. Also we'll have pop up texts saying our Sim is jealous and angry but our Sim look all fine and happy. I miss the Sims 2 when our Sim would run to their cheating partner and slap the crap out of them. There's no fun in the Sims 4, tired of the make believe sand box it has become.
They are charging 40 because they gave us the heart bed and a world. The whoohoo hotel looks flat. They should have gone into tbe career a bit. They shout have added some breakup argument with the other sim. If we had it, it would have been with the price.
Honestly feel it would be way better if they just fix the packs they already released, add on proper interactive areas instead of rabbit holes, flesh out the animations and detail, add on more activities for each pack and just post that as a big update. It's been too many years with this.
I’m not gonna lie this pack seems a bit fun, however there are certain features in the pack that I feel should’ve came with wedding stories already. I mean as soon as they showed a trailer I was literally thinking this could’ve been added to wedding stories 😂
I feel like where this will add more dynamic and complexity to romantic relationships thats kind of the end all be all, maybe im too picky but i wish the world was more immersive and the sense of culture properly explored. Beyond romance what does this pack add to the sims? and i already know the bugs are gonna be astronomical
From what they shown the CAS sucked especially for men and the BAB was …. the gameplay seemed pretty good some things I need to see how they work in the long run
I feel bad because console players are being forced to pay $40 for things that are better from mod creators and free for the most part. This pack is not it. I dnt completely hate it but I’m okay with out it
I just the love the fact that they use gym but never update like we just have 3 to 4 gym machine since they have been introduced like bro it's boring now
@@thesimyin I know that I used to play that way they would have to be content with they own stuff like that I did until they could upgrade to a pc The main thing is that they can play hopefully I some console players and they were playing with no issues so that all that matters!
yea you could not make a full cohesive house with the BB which you really should be able to with an EP. Horse ranch nailed that even if it was lacking in other areas
Game packs are officially gone! I am sorry, where is amount of content? This pack is also one of those that shouldn’t have existed in the first place! A pack about romance? Romance is now paid DLC. Realistically, most of DLC in this game is in no way worth existing. Paying for romance, family gameplay, stuff for forgotten life stages by EA, vacuums, extra stuff for pets, etc. is out of this world. EA only care about money and shareholders, not the community. Maybe this is a reason the community is all about complaining and being toxic? I am just FED UP!!!
I slept through most of the stream but for the eyelashes they mentioned something about modders. I feel like they just gave it to us cause they know the modders will turn it out but what about console ppl? Don’t they deserve cute lashes too?
The features are pretty good but the fact that it's an expansion pack is such a scam. There's no way this is enough content for an expansion pack. Especially when we're getting stuff that was base game in previous sims games
😢Awww, I was expecting a mariachi outfit, or mayan headress similar to the native americans but at least (wrestler) luchador outfit is fine. And yes eyelashes are terrible.
I feel disappointed (once again). This is not worth the $40 dollars. The clothes are… questionable. The eyelashes are HORRIBLE. (In my opinion). It feels like they just said “you want lashes? Here take that!” And throw us whatever they could do (bare minimum) just to shut us up already. I play on console and I’ve been waiting 10 years for lashes, how is it that content creators can make a better job than the whole sims team? Was it honestly so difficult to make a better product? 💔 The only thing I’m interested in is in the new ways to love and relationships. Like always thanks for the information Yin!
Unless I get the EP for free, or heavily discounted, it looks like I’ll be playing offline for the for the foreseeable future because my mods pretty much do the “new” gameplay
I’m excited for this pack, like I wanted a love pack based on love, but I feel like I’ll be wasting my money if do buy it. Only a few things caught my eye, in gameplay but I’m a CAS player and I saw “some” stuff I would like, but ima wait a bit to see if it’s worth it and play around with base game
There was no animation for breaking up, I saw Sims clipping together during certain animations, a Sim's arm was clipping through a chair when having a social interaction, they've gotten rid of Husband and Wife and replaced it with spouse under relationship status to conform to people that have an issue with genders, the B&B was very lacking for an EP, the CAS was mostly horrible and I honestly didn't see anything that resembled $40 worth of product/content. TS4 is an ever sinking ship and I just wonder when it'll finally hit the bottom.
I just don't like the fact they are changing the title of Husband and wife to Spouse and adding partner instead of boyfriend or girlfriend they are going to add partner they could have left husband and wife alone it wasn't broken.!
@@MsArchangeYT not everyone is nonbinary/gender neutral. There are still plenty of people that identify as man or woman, and want to use the titles that reflect that. It shouldn’t be an issue to just add gender neutral language for those that want it.

What I hate they put in tiny writing (and feel like they have to) not everything showing is in it. Like duh. You don’t have to say that anymore as old as sims 4 is. I think we get that by now
I guess I'm one of the few excited. There is quite a bit of improvements for story telling. You have to maintain the relationship or they might break up or divorce, it will be more complicated to get into a relationship. Right now you can basically meet someone and getting marry in the same date. LOL. For me, all that makes it more realistic. I get ea and the sims are cash grabbing , but I also think that the community has gotten too toxic. They're always complaining, and it's fine to complain but I don't understand why people keep playing when they hate the game so much. I don't play games I dislike so much. But hey, new pack and all the complainers go straight to buy it. Please explain the logic.
For a love related pack, it sure don't sound very romantic..... There's no love titles in it lol, they might as well call the significant others colleagues.
I think the gameplay is copied from mods which have far exceeded anything the sims can provide as far as romantic realistic gameplay, the world is nice it’s definitely not worth 40 dollars
I disagree I actually feel like this pack expansion pack worthy or at least this was a very rare occasion where the livestream day actually went successfully. Surprisingly every party is satisfied to an extent, Great CAS, Great Build/Buy, New gameplay mechanics and systems, new items, new world inspired by something other than the US! I just feel like this is a pack that will easily melt into our day to day games just like Growing together & Seasons. I like to determine what’s an expansion pack based on what it adds to the game and how likely you are to notice if it’s in your game. I feel like if you remove Eco lifestyle, Snowy escape, Get to work, Discover university, etc from your game… would you really notice it’s absence?
$40 for re cycled content, crazy how the breakup/ divorce doesn’t even have an animation. I do like the stuff we’re getting, it’s just not EP worthy. They just gave us stuff we already have, and reskinned it, they just took likes and dislikes, and took the friendship compatibility and made it turn one and turn offs. Took the room scanning thing from a mod, like detail for detail. Wish they showed off the games and other things, felt like the game was paused for 90% of the stream. The gurus didn’t seem like they wanted to be there, felt awkward, a lot of the good stuff we got is just interactions you can ask other sims. And with the dating app you can only add three people a day and 15 in total.
I’m scared cuz now game packs won’t be like werewolves. They’re gonna be like laundry day instead 🥲. I feel bad that console players can’t experience mods like wicked/wonderful whims and RPO cuz the sims team could’ve done so much more. I don’t get why they limit themselves like this and want us to pay $40!
