230 000 traders liquidated over night in crypto $1 Billion gone. Very few are coming back - retail kinda had enough with crypto already after FTX, that's also why we have seen retail not being back this cycle. This was the last nail in cryptos coffin. Maybe BTC can still do well on a 10 year outlook, not sure. Time to pivot to AI before the "kiss of death" - once the Fed cuts, it's truly over within 2 months if history is anything to go on, a cut is mega bearish.
Thanks Raoul, For 30 years Japan has 0% interest on their currency. As a result for 30 years investor borrowed YEN at no cost and invested it globally. They invested in T-Bills abroad and a basket of risk assets including the Nasdaq. For the first time in many year the BOJ increased interest rates this week by 0.25%. This was almost unprecedented. As a result of the increased interest rates and the signal to the market, investors are now concerned that the money they borrowed for free is no longer free and therefore they are unwinding their trades and sending the funds back to Japan.

Was taking a look at the DXY while listening to this video. Just realized that for the entire life of the BTC / crypto sphere, the Dollar Index has been in a secular bull market. What happens to crypto when the US dollar has a sustained secular bear like from 2001 to 2008?

(Don’t freak out and rant about MMT - just listen) MMT tells us that M2 is a fiction and liquidity is a non issue, as is debt refi, because it’s all just moving digits on computers. If we take this at face value, how does liquidity (money) end up in the hands of investors, banks, etc.?
