Fantastic review. A follow up review after a couple months of use would be awesome!

Thanks for the very helpful video. The RV rating is important to me, but it doesn't apply to the 1.25" hitch version. For those of us who need a rack that works with both sizes of hitch, the hunt continues. This rack is heavier than the Thule Epos that I currently have on order; and the tilt latch mechanism is a pain in the butt. (But the Epos won't tilt at all.) Other reviews have indicated even the latch release extension is not great.

I think what is one of major downfalls on an otherwise awesome system is the actuation lever placement

Very well explained and detailed enough introduction. Subscribed cause i liked this video, thanks. Seems like this is one of the best ones of there for single "analog" bikes, light weight enough to be removed frequently, and maybe accommodate heavier(e-bikes) that I may help carry once in a while. Security for both bike and rack would be something i have to just look into some more. Right now, my mountain bike fits into my SUV just fine and i don't worry much about security for it. Just like to have the rack option because the bike gets too much mud occasionally.

The 1UP Superduty is good for "full fat" MTBs, and if you want one for the obscene 75lb+e-bikes get the new Xtreme Duty. What I like about 1up Super/Heavy duty is that tray to tray is the closest and hitch to tray is the closest on the market, causing less torque at the hitch. Remember tongue weight is rated at ~8in out from hitch pin, and as you get longer you are adding much more torque, so you can not just add the system weight for tongue weight. I made a spreadsheet calculating tongue weights for each premium brand tray and vertical rack.

Looks like heavy E bikes will be a problem loading and unlosding?

Beautiful product. Was it made in the U.S.A.? lol. Amazing out of the box deployment! Yes, RV rated but limited to two trays so I went with the 1UP Xtreme Duty carrier which is rated to 345 lbs! 150 lbs in position 1 (think e-moto), 120lbs in #2 tray and 75# in position 3. A lot of racks I considered were either not RV rated or dropped their weight ratings significantly for that particular usage. (KUATin the fine print). Apparently, RV's with at least 5 ft behind the rear axle will generate dynamic physical forces that most racks can't handle. Also, plan to off road the rack connected to a Jeep so we should stay well within the ratings parameters.

If you want to save some money and have welding experience or access you can buy the two pieces of metal and weld together and drill some home. About $225 for metal and two "van" trays for a 1 bike system. Now their Xtreme duty, it's cool and can hold Surrons/Talaria

I have the Quickrack Mach 2. Love my rack The inventor of this rack started his own company called Quick R Stuff.

And although it is a really cool rack, it is very expensive. Even this one is expensive, but the quikr rack would cost more than $1000 for a rack that can hold two. The 1up rack is less than $700 for this color.

@@DavidJohnson-xi7ds it’s worth every penny IMO it was kinda pricy but I have two trays and each hold up to 125 pounds
