How to solve WIFI connection problems of Dreame robot vacuums?
You just bought a robot vacuum but can't connect it to your house's WIFI?

This is the Dreame D9 max but the same tips should work with any robot vcuum of brands linked to Xiaomi like Dreame for example.
On the robot:
- Between two attempts, reset the WIFI (Hold power and station buttons for 3 seconds until the robot says "reset WIFI")
- Get your robot closer to the box or WIFI router
- Complete restart (Take it off the station and hold Power button for 5 seconds until it's off. Then restart the robot)
On the Smartphone and Xiaomi Home application:
- If the manual is only in chinese, in the application Xiaomi Home set the region on "Chinese Mainland".
- If the manual is in different languages, set the region to your country.
- Check Xiaomi Home application's permissions. Location has to be activated.
- Desactivate mobile data
- Enable WIFI and set it to your box or router
- Delete cache, all the applications datas, uninstall and reinstall
On your box or WIFI router:
- Check if 2.4GHz is supported (this robot does not work with 5GHz)
- WIFI has to be in WPA2
- Password only with latin caracters and numbers, no spaces.
- Password only in lower case.
- Password must be at least 8 caracters long but should not be too long.
After trying all of this, it was still not able to connect to the WIFI. The last thing I did was trying with another Smartphone.
My first attempts were with a Poco phone, it never worked. Then I tried with a Nokia and it worked immediately.
So you can try with another phone.
Have courage, do not despair because once it's working it's a great equipment.
