Niche builds make templar tanks good, the fact that you can spam a shield for low cost resources is great, repentance and rune make it up for getting resources back, no need to use any percentage heals since you'll be use the master sword and board. you wont even need a healer as a templar tank
If you are having fun. Tell him to get over it. Similarly, if everyone is the same what's the point of all the other skills, armor, weapons, or skill points?
Have you not tried Malevolent Offering for your NB? It heals ~10k buffed for ~2.5k mag. Or are you meaning HM vDSR that you dont find the heals to be adaquate? Perhaps you mean HM for all of these ranks? I think I was getting close to 20k/sec heals with a nb when I stacked hots, but that may have been a bit meme ish, I dont recall what all I had on my bars. Either way it's a fun exercise, thanks for the video.
@@Hyperioxes it’s a cone in front of you I believe. I haven’t had any issues that I can recall where it heals someone else when I really need it. I do use it to intentionally heal others sometimes though. Like on lokk if a dps accidentally steps out of formation on the beam phase, or on MT on Taleria, etc… might be a fight where it is a problem, I haven’t tried KA or RG extensively (and no hard modes). Pretty sure we tried solo tank on vRG and didn’t have a problem. So yeah, not exhaustive but I think it works well as far as I can tell.
It's not a reliable self heal, but great if you want to support the group when running with 3 dps. It's too expensive to double cast for use as self heal. For boost heal I use the spectral bow from Grim Focus=>Merciless Resolve. You'd have to spec into doing some damage with your tank to make it work well tho. As an NB tank you should always keep swinging anyway when not blocking to keep up leeching strikes and grim focus so speccing for damage as well as mitigation works really well on NB.
Feels like if they give Nightblades a heal based on Max Health, it would balance the class, and put it (at the very least) on par with the Warden, if not higher due to its unique enemy debuff of Minor Cowardace. The solution would be fairly simple, edit "Healthy Offering" to heal only you, and make it based on your highest stat.. if your highest stat is Magicka/Stamina meaning you are a Damage Dealer, you basically have an in-class Resolving Vigor, which fits into Nightblades' class theme very well (sort of the selfish assassin class), and if your highest stat is your Health, you're a tank and you now have a burst heal. Idk, what do you think?
Although making it scale with max hp would be nice, I think all that's really needed is making it not target other people so you can actually reliably use it
Do you find clannfear to be mandatory for sorcerers in dungeons if you have a healer? I'm wondering if your shield + dark deal would be enough (vigor too if you are using PA).
I guess it depends on the dungeon, I think you'll want Clannfear no matter what for the hardest encounters, for easier dungeons I'm not using Clannfear even without healer relying only on Dark Deal and Master's snb
@@markuska Yeah, hear that from many players. 2 pets take up 4 precious skill slots.. At least we don't have to recast them all the time like the necro, so that makes it easier to play..
Have any advice on surviving as main tank on bahsei? This patch seemes almost impossible with the healing nerf. Slotting flare etc. Vigor and cinderstorm and dragon blood and it still doesn't feel like enough healing. Also I had an abom bleed that hit me for 28k for 1 tick and I just evaporated from that and a curse
If a bleed tick hits you for 28k there's definitely sth wrong with your build, what's your armor at with Major and Minor Resolve? Also I dont think Cinderstorm is the way to go in that fight, you should mainly spam damage shields like Igneous Shield and Hardened Armor and use the Bastion CP
@@Hyperioxes Im not sure. I was in yoln, Pearlescent with master snb. Frost cloak provided major and vigor provided minor aswell. Also isnt resistance irrelevant to bleed damage the abom does? I thought bleed damage wasnt mitigated by resistance. Ill try the shield spamming. It might be because I had like 50k hp at the time and it might scale off health
@@Demolish_Dreams I dont think that's the case with Abomination's bleed. Ye 50k hp is definitely too much for this fight, all the DoTs in this fight scale with your max hp so it should be way easier once you lower it
I play NB tank mainly and don't have issues on vet Taleria. I don't even use offering and am at 6k HPS (full support sets obv). Offering should be reliable at Taleria, since you are on your own as MT and no one is in front of you, but like I said I never use it. Therefore I have to disagree with you on some points and would even say some fights are much easier on NB tank than on DK. F.e. Bahsai non HM its way easier MTing it on NB than on DK (in my opinion) just for the massive self heal you get, spam cloak and chill.
Hey, I have only been playing a month (console) and picked a khajit night blade. I’d like to just stick to one toon and have multiple build. So like nb dd, tank and healer etc. Is khajit a well rounded race for this? Or is there a better all rounder race?
In dungeons when you're the only support it's better to provide Major Vuln with stuff like Turning Tide and/or Archdruid Devyric and then use Horn for Major Force and the resource buff, these Major Vuln sets provide much better uptime than Colossus from a single person
Wat main skills for Necro do you think is good for tanking, cause my spirit mender doesn't heal very good, or if you can explain how I can increase the heals, any info from anyone will help
The way i see theses ranks is. S tier class for less skilled players and C/B ranks for more skilled players. Im currently running a HE templar tank ( the “worst” setup for a tank) and doing vet contents easily. Just started on vet trials and so far im having a blast. Currently running Perfected pearlescent Powefull assault/turning tide Archdedruid/ engine guardian Perfected void bash/ puncture. Even on less optimized group i can go pretty much without healer. Doing hm content without healer easily. My 2 cents is: do whatever you fell like and be good at it
It's 70% but only for heavy attacks. But since heavy attack builds can't rely on Empowering Grasp's imperfect uptime because they need Empower to be up 100% of the time this skill is useless
I’ve been putting together a Necro tank after mainly tanking with DK since 2014. I think Hyperioxes is spot on. The heals and damage mitigation are great, but stamina sustain is more difficult. I like it better than Warden though.
@@ztyhurstit's because y'all don't know how to Necro tank 😂 top tier tank best in slot. Can even run without a healer in hard mode dungeons this is a joke. Maybe you have stam issues because you haven't figured out about using ice staff on back bar 😂 now you can block with the same effect as sword and board and use Magicka and with the mages skill tree you have access to unlimited resources maybe rethink the Necro and it's passives and you'll start to understand why some Necro tanks are literally unkillable. And can heal your group by themselves and provide buffs and debuffs. It's all about knowing the class and your builds.
I play templar tank, and now they are A tier. Theres no problems in vet trials, feels very strong. Good vid but im not with you abort nb or templar at all.
I'm calling cap right here Necro is S tier across the board you just don't know how to tank with Necro 😂 maybe try ice staff back bar and you'll figure it out after using mages guild ability cough cough unlimited sustain anyone? 😂
