Brilliant work hyper. I’m working on off tanking vRG for the first time. Done the HM as dd but will train myself in the vet trials on my fresh necro tank.
Great video man! Short and concise, just the essential we need. Thanks! 🏆 Maybe you could do an additional one with the "must have monster sets"? I was thinking of using Magma/Saxhleel/Crimson for my new necro tank that I would use mostly in 4 men dungeons... any thoughts about that?
I use dragons appetite and tormentor. Just for duegeon runs literally hard to get the pug group going in deugeon finder cause some dlc duegeons literally players die to the easiest mechanics such as avoid aoe and seeing a delay aoe. I finished off most bosses especially castle thorn two times wasn’t hard mode but they gave me 130k gold for effort in end when the group can’t see the aoe light when the last boss does the bat swarm shit
Hey buddy thanks for the video! Im currently trying to put a vet raid together (HM in the future). What would be the groups setup? Speaking of sets etc., I cant really find any videos to it. I dont really know which buffs are important and essential, also I dont know how to plan a raid with 2 bosses or 1 boss
@@Hyperioxes Sorry I saw your reply kind of late. Lets take vDSR for example. For the first boss, do you want to use 2 players using ZenKosh and 2 players using EC? Or on what buffs/penetration etc. are we generally looking for in a boss fight?
@@ZephioGaming No, you dont use Alkosh there, bring only one EC and Z'en, the best way we've found around penetration in this fight was having both tanks on Tremorscale and DDs adjusting to it by having a few light pieces and/or sets with penetration set bonuses like Tzogvin
@@Hyperioxes Interesting. It might be a good idea for a future video to give general full raid comp guides as a "general" for new trial runners or returning trial runners on what a good group composition should look like Generally speaking of course. Not to include special situation trials like vCR+3 that takes a mini 3rd tank
Question from your DK tank build. If I don't have the Spaulder shoulder piece for the trash set. should i just run 2 piece magma? or just wear archdruid through out the entirety of the dungeon?
In my DK tank build I'm using Yolnahkriin on trash so 2-piece Magma wouldn't make sense since Minor Courage is already there, you can use Archdruid throughout entire dungeon
Is using a torugs pact infused ice staff with a Crushing enchant a decent substitute for crimson oath/ alkosh? I figured this might work at least until I get the the real sets.
Im curious in 4 man if Tremorscale and Crimson would be best for pugs as you cant guarantee who’s wearing light pieces. Skinny Cheeks video says its a 17% increase to dps. would that outperform using TT and Yolna?
Yolna is about 3-4% DPS increase with TT maybe 8% for the burst time when it's active. So I would personally say yes. Also most medium DPS sets are a lot better than light. For example after running a few tests, I personally had better results with Relequen (medium) than Whorl (light) even on the 3M dummy and in vSS portals (so underpenning with relequen). This will vary from class to class and be affected by a few factors but overall medium is very often worth running even if you're underpenning as the DD.
I'd go with Tremorscale/TT/Olorime, I feel like with Tremor and Crimson you'd be providing very little to light armor DDs, but also I have no clue what type of armor is worn more frequently in pugs
I have normal yol, PA, and run Spaulder of ruin. Is this a good set up to be a main tank in vetvtrial content or do you recommend something else. Thanks
@@alexbrowne9566 lol I know this but at one point in the video he says alkosh can help you reach pen cap in trials where mora's is best (since you need 1 light to reach pen cap with alkosh). And I'm curious which trials he is referring to.
@@gocity9 For most trials, Kilt will be your best mythic. There are a few exceptions where Kilt doesn't work very well. Mostly trials where you take direct damage that removes Kilt stacks. For example Oaxiltso in vRG, Rakkhat in vMoL. Bow Breaker in vDSR. There probably are many others. I personally don't run Mora's too much so take it with a grain of sand. Someone else can maybe pitch in more. Another option could be if you're playing for example Nightblade or Khajiit and you are at crit damage cap already without Kilt, then Mora's would perform better. Also for short burst or quick fights where Kilt doesn't have much time to stack up. Especially trash fights or very fast and short boss fights / dungeons.
I honestly thought Pearlescent Ward works more like 6% dmg mitigation per dead person when in trial so 11/12 twelve dead people=66% and 22%/dead person when in a four man group, cause like - why would you count yourself since the effect of the set wouldn't work anyways if you're dead, would it?
It's not required but it helps a lot so if you ever start having issues with surviving capping out your armor is the first step in improving your build
I'm a dk only cp 390 I got turning tides and got nazaray shoulders, working on getting the helm but damn vsrr is hard and I'm still squishy idk what to do 😂
im working on setting up a good dk necro warden and arcanist tanks just wondering are sax pearlescent and yolnahkrin usually only on the body im just wondering before i start reconstructing those sets and wouldnt want to spend transmutes twice
SInce when do Tanks become "Group assist buffers"? This is a healers job. Not a tanks. The first 2 sets are pure "Heavy set for healers" in my opinion. It does nothing to aid the group as the tank role.
What would you suggest running on a Dungeon Tank Build Backbar? I have Tremorscale and Turning Tide body. Drakes Rush or PA Backbar? I mostly play with friends (2 DD's and 1 Healer) so the "use ult on cooldown" part can be easely communicated.
You can get decent Major Force uptime with 2 tanks and 2 healers on horn without Saxheel can’t you? I think the point of Saxheel Necro tank is that you can run a higher damage ult on your necro DD, or just run less necros. And also being able to use Shell / Barrier like you said.
Tremorscale provides 8% of your armor as penetration so with 33k it'd provide 2640 pen. If you're using Puncturing Remedy and you're at cap without it, using Pierce Armor will proc both Puncturing Remedy and Tremorscale and with 39k armor you'll provide 3120 armor
I don't really understand why there is this interest and investement in consistently disparaging the tank club. You can make videos, push out information/ content without doing so. Its getting weird.
The reason is because he wastes a lot of time from people running suboptimal or straight up harmful stuff and asking him for advice. Telling people to stay away from tank club's stuff (for endgame specifically i mean) is a positive for him because its less work helping people in dms. And especially for newer players who want to get into endgame fast, having it be known that the tank club is not a very good source of reliable info saves them a lot of time (you really dont want your tank rolling up in 8x sturdy gear in vDSR HM prog group) A lot of ''bigger'' content creators say a lot of strange or suboptimal things for no reason, or just straight up wrong harmful information that will disatvantage their audience and often openly antagonize endgame players aswell (not tank club on this one tbf but it is a trend) to be honest tank club is one of the lesser offenders overall on this trend but he should still be called out.
It's not disparaging them, it's correcting misinformation. If Hyper was the one in the wrong, or if both parties were correct, then maybe you could call it disparaging, but considering Tank Club is often the most cited and most used provider of tank advice, incorrect information from them is disseminated much more widely than most. Therefore, it's in everyone's best interest if people with more game knowledge make these kinds of corrections.
@@luchtt Fair point but I swear its been 3 videos that I have watched, I shall assume that there are more and I don't see the necessity. As I said in my initial point, you can still provide correct and accurate information without the mention of tank club. There are so many content creators on RU-vid who put out inaccurate information day in and day out and I rarely see them getting "called out".
Meta meta meta meta. Bla bla bla. There are multiple ways to get something done.. no need for both crimson oath and tremorscale. Just put your dps on 2 light. Wooptie doo all your dps just lost 2k damage. Wooowweww. However u have an extra set available. Seriously do u even know what meta means? Most effective TACTICS available. TACTICS, as in multiple.
