Definitely something you can do if you want to close out games quicker. It does make you weaker against Steel and Ruby though. But there are so many targets for those ink colours to hit it's really like pick your poison (Flynn, Diablo, Ursula, etc)
Red purple players, I think the counter to Bucky will be te Pinocchio - Talkative puppet, I need to try it next week: Turn 1: Broom or chernabogs Turn 2: Pinocchio to trade free Bucky with broom (Chernabogs will be banished as well) Turn 3: Brawl to Diablo or Kuzco with another one cost card? Turn 4: Rabbit I know that this scenario is to ideal but the key is to use Pinocchio to prevent infinite discard with Bucky? I need more feedbacks or comments to see if this work😢
Red purple just has t play a bit more conservatively and try to use draw engines each turn or just ink, until the ay reach 7. 8:24 at this turn I would not have inked malicifent
Ruby/Amethyst is not as easy you think. He would have just needed another brawl or be king undisputed on turn 4 and he would have been in a really good spot. Also inking Maleficient insted of Minnie was a mistake, maybe he was afraid of Sudden Chill sing with Ursula, but at that point you have to risk it, you are going to lose anyway.
There’s a ruby amethyst version that doesn’t run Khan at all, but runs Sisus instead… Absolutely crushes my emerald steel deck every time… Almost always has an answer whether they are going first or second… Brutal deck…
@@QuantumMercury the 8 drop was in there, as well as the 3 drop non-inkable (daring visitor), and inkable (emboldened warrior). I don’t know the whole deck list, but it did have the amethyst bounce package, Flynn Frenemy, Lumiere (fiery friend), Medusa, and the Amethyst evasive pan (the one that gives evasive to other cards). Believe that friends on the other side was in there as well..
You could play against ruby/amethyst, you had cards in your hand at least. Playing against an emerald/steel discard with a perfect or a good curve, is just stupid and sometimes even pointless There is no counter play for: - turn 1 diablo - turn 2 bucky; shift diablo; sing sudden chill Even though I understand and totally relate with the frustration given from the ruby/amethyst and the bounce package, I think this is just a toxic and unfunny deck to play against
@@Youbug000 There is, it's just that people aren't using them: 1-cost Fire Your Cannons, 1-cost Triton's Decree, 2-cost Brawl, 2-cost Pick a Fight... Ultimately Discard is always a very frustrating match to be up against in any game, by it's very nature of taking away the very things you need to have fun, the cards! In my view it doesn't matter much if it's this bucky/diablo version, or the previous ursula/flynn/friar tuck version, even though I recognize this current setup is very OP.
@@ghostknight1865 I play sapphire/steel and I use almost all of the actions you mentioned. The problem is sometimes you don't even have the time to play them. Also, since bucky has ward, you can't target him despite using triton's decree (people can redirect this damage on a cheap card that had already done its purpose, like cost 1 diablo) or grab your sword (easily discarded by cost 2 ursula). I don't think Diablo is the problem, bucky is. Despite pick a fight being an interesting option, I find it too situational (I find it useful just against emerald/steel and it's uninkable, so it could literally waste a spot that could be useful for better cards) Finally, I totaly agree with you by saying it's frustrating xD
@@Youbug000 Honestly, the current ES deck is killing this game for me. Even teched specifically against it RA gets completely blown out with zero counterplay. Diablo very much is the problem, Bucky was a pain before, but Diablo puts it into turbo mode. Being able to shift for 0, on curve, with evasive is a huge problem. It almost always replaces itself 4-5x, which is absolutely absurd.
