This is one of those decks that when it goes off it's amazing but when it doesn't it feels kinda clunky. Still it's fun to watch it go off when it does! Feel like Plot as a whole has been like that as a mechanic.
Ran into something similar yesterday(?) with my monowhite-weenie deck. The shuffler was screwing me hard and they got out double railway brawler and then two tumbleweed risings (so 5, 10, 40, 160 power/toughness). I think they could have killed me a turn earlier if they'd 'settled' for 5 / 10 / 20 instead, or two turns earlier if they'd been willing to accept 5 and 10. Fortunately for me the shuffler finally gave up the fourth land clutch and I board-wiped. Honestly, I give props to whichever one of your acolytes (dragon brood?) was playing it, because they didn't just immediately uninstall the game on the spot. So I think with a deck like this that's a real danger, getting greedy and/or falling into the illusion of being a control player :D
A few weeks ago I was obsessed with plot. Made a bunch of decks. Managed to make a 600+ creature. I had to stop using those decks because of how much I was facing 250+ card decks. One casted 3 shelly edicts in 5 turns. Still love this mechanic though.
21:29 That was your trailblaizer and Forest they got from siphon insight. They were never playing green. I don't mean that in a bashing way just as to help alleviate the confusion that you expressed thinking maybe they had a Smugglers and the Doc that you countered was also stolen.
Isn't the first time, and won't be the last time that happens around here. Though this time, it was mostly due to recording each night of 4 really long days.
I've won games with many cards that were inferior in my decks. Doesn't make it the right choice. But in this case, the card did it's job no doubt. Won't change my opinion on it, but credit still goes to the opponent. They got that one.
Games like the 1st one vs golgari make me wonder what the opponent was thinking 🤔 were they demoralized, or just finished? Bad blocks... 👎 They put thought into blocking then didn't block the 4 power stuff. Irl I would remind opponent of the math before ending the game 😅
I love this game. I just don’t understand why you have to pay for cards. How haven’t streamers/content creators not pushed for that? I know plenty of people including myself who have quit because of that. If not make everything free, you should get way more coins for winning matches.
For me it's simple. With today's games you either put in time or money. If you want to spend, you can. For my time, MTG actually gives me more than other games I've played. And there are actually a lot of people that play Arena for free. So, it's likely just a matter of how you choose to, or want to, engage with the game.
