Where I can give acceleration markers I will always give them. The majority of the time it's when you clip the inside kerb. But if an acceleration mark exists I will always do it (Like in the Honda time trial)
Thanks! Although I wasn't able to get gold, I could still get silver by the slimmest of margins. Looks like I need some skill... time to do the master licenses.
Got a 1:38:3 which is more than enough for gold, thank you for the guide! I have hardly ever raced on the wet in GT7, so it was quite hard for me at the beginning
That is the plugin from an external mobile app, now i dont know what the app is coz there are plenty of them but they are the indicators for tire temperature, since after the update the tire temperature became more important than ever
in the wet the normal racing line is more slippery and therefore slower, so u want to do the braking, turning and accelerating off the racing line as much as possible
Normal racing line is slicker due to that portion of the track being more worn down. Higher chance of standing water. Off-line has “rougher” asphalt which gives just a bit more bite to tires.
Racing line dry far more grip , wet cause its been rubbered in and smooth is way more slippery , so wet tracks fastest line is stay away from smooth rubbered in line , go wider for rougher gripping tarmac with no rubbered line . If you ever go to a go-kart track in wet it's crazy the grip off line
Being off the driving line is such a little nuance that happens in real life, also. The main racing line gets smoothed out over time while the little peaks and valleys (or grit) stay off of the driving line, helping improve traction in the wet. Thanks Tidge!
I drove a Porsche Cayman Gt4 during similar conditions on the red bull ring a few weeks ago. The track is actually a lot wider in real life, and in parts a lot steeper. Was an awesome experience, though I guess I didn't set a new lap record 😂 (By the way they added a new chicane at the first straight, wonder if PD is going to update the track)
@@tidgney I can highly recommend it, though it's not cheap. The great thing is, they only use 2 gt4s, so you have one instructor and another gt4 on the track, plus a group of cayman s's (maximum of 6). Which makes driving unbelievably pleasant, as anyone knows who has ever been to the Nordschleife and its 200 million people on a track day 😂
The only thing that doesn't work with me is those hard challenges in gt7 😢 I dont get it. I don't understand why .... 😢 even after very hard practising
No offense intended but it's an ongoing learning experience. I don't think all challenges should be accessible to all drivers, or even half of them, without considerable effort over a protracted period of time. The spirit of GT is that it is about improvement. That can and should (for most) mean years of dedication. Some might say "I don't have hours a week to devote to a game". For those people, it really will mean years of work. But the feeling when you start to unlock higher level abilities is IMMENSE. It's worth it. See it as a life's work. :)
I think people are making waaayyy too much of this dry line/wet line. I did nothing out of the usual on my fastest lap (abusing track limits, fully off the track, 100% braking everywhere) and 1:39:111
I don't understand the logic applied in GT. In every wet race irl you get in trouble if you MISS the racing line, which is dryer and thus has a lot more grip. Nonsense.
The racing line is more slippery, thus slower. If you watch the F1 2020 styrian GP pole lap, you can see that Hamilton is all over the track, but barely on the racing line.
