Avatar never disappoints in my opinion. They are so creative and they love to experiment. I just find them to be very entertaining. I've seen them live several times and I cannot wait to see them again when they come around my area. Really one of the best bands out there and I wish more people liked them.
@@blackfox1320 As a metalhead, I really stopped caring if something was heavy or not a long time ago. Plus, Johan has a great voice and Avatar do catchy very well.
Yup! Saw them in a quadruple show with Gemini Syndrome, Motionless in White, and In This Moment. They played second and really stole the show - at least from Motionless in White (In This Moment is so theatrical - they really are a different type of performance now). Love the energy and the most important thing - they seem like they are genuinely having fun! They aren't overly concerned with "looking cool" or being badass - they are just there, doing their thing and having a good time like the rest of us!
Seeing this live was incredible too. The whole band had fun playing it and his silly stage dance on the little show in the video was done on the big stage live. I have been to many concerts and listened to a lot of music in my day, but there's just something special about Avatar. They are unique, their songs are all interesting in their own way, his word smithing is second to none, just take the song Black Waltz as an example, extremely heavy song sound wise but the lyrics are beautiful as hell. Avatar was easily head and shoulders above all the other bands i've seen live.
All of the new Avatar singles are KILLER!!! Super excited for this new record! Also: thank you so much for supporting Crusadist! It’s greatly appreciated! 🤘🤘🤘
Thank you for supporting Crusadist and wearing our merch! my boyfriend is their guitarist! 🤘🤘 also, as a long time avatar fan, love this new song and love the direction the band is headed. Keep rockin 🤘
Well, idea in that - Avatar just chillin with their fans. So cute. They reimagined their freakshow conception as a love letter to fans. Giant black figure is Ghost (in credits), by the way, not Death. The video was shot near the place where this album was recorded, in the Swedish woods, around middle-end of October. (Тhe previous Dance Devil Dance clip was shot at a large Gothenburg Film Studios, when was the release date of this video, filming of Dirt was in full swing.) And small club scenes was shoot in few nights, kinda 4 AM or so. The car is same from Dance Devil Dance. (And belongs to John's brother in law.) So Devil assembled cultists and monsters to sabbath.) 🤘🤘😈🤘🤘 The vampire is Ronja Kruus, she played Tim's girlfriend and also EDM dancer in their featurette Legend of Avatar Country: A Metal Odyssey (yes, they have their own movie based on seventh album, also have a book in 109 verses for sixth album and the band helped build stage sets for the videos!!! awesome dudes). Early she was make up artist in The Eagle has Landed. It's so cute that they don't forget those with whom they used to work. The main riff of the song has been sitting around for about 20 years (like Silence in the Age of Apes), the band has said, waiting to be used. Also disco melody is leftovers of Smells like a Freakshow. It's their first Billboard #1 song! Reaction to Avatar - The Great Pretender, New Land, In Napalm, House of Eternal Hunt, please!)))
I'm curious to know what Billy Talent song you were thinking of that reminds you of this lol. Really dig this song I discovered it from RU-vid Music wanna check out more from these guys! \m/
I did not expect you both to like this as much as you did. I always think sometimes the different AVATAR songs will not resonate with Metal Heads. Thanks for doing this one and I vehemently disagree with whoever said Johannes make up is crow like. NO NO NO NO. lol
Greta stuff , this song i realy liked 😊 Avatar is Amazing live Some suggestions Aviana - Rage Allt - Paralyzed Vildhjarta - Den heliga anden Thrown - Gray out
Yeah not feeling this one, i like something a little left of field from someones normal sound but it's just a generic pop rock song with a catchy riff. To each their own I guess.
