Thirty-five years as a Thrash Metal drummer, many shows, albums recorded, hundreds of bands discovered over these decades... I never imagined that I would fall in love with a Japanese girl band playing power/speed metal like in the 80's. .. and I say more, they are reinventing the True Metal that only the big bands knew how to do like nobody else. I have no words for LOVEBITES! And I'm very happy to see you bros applauding and praising an amazing band like this. Happy new year bros!
I cant stop listening to this song. It's like they purposely created a song that will be addicting af as soon as you hear it. And it's working I think. Love this band and the music they make. This band and band-maid are the only 2 bands from Japan I see superstars written all over them.
It actually took me a few listens to "Judgement Day" before I really started loving the song. I've always preferred Lovebites' more thrashier songs over their Power Metal stuff, and I guess I was hoping that their first release with Fami was a Thrash song. Anyway, I now love this song and I've already purchased the album (which I'm hoping they have one or two pure thrash songs on it).

Agreed, Fami was Awesome, I was so happy they opened the song with what was basically a bass solo. The way she interchanged between Finger and Slap technics was Magical. Maybe they had time during the hiatus to notice a lot of comments that Miho was too low in the Mix most of the time. Her bass was Very Prominent in this Mix, but I hope they back it off a 'bit' in the Album. I LOVE what Fami is doing, but it was so prominent in the Mix that it kind of overrides the impact of Midori and Miyako's riffage. I'm hoping for two things in particular from the Album - Bass solos (Miho only did that 2 or 3 times) and the LONG MISSING Drum Solos!! I NEED to hear Haruna just cut loose and show what she can do.
Yep - I loved Miho, but Lovebites have levelled up now they got Fami in the band. I'm excited to see how they use her technical playing style in the future.
The solo run in "Break the Wall" was my favorite Lovebites solo run until now. Fami adds an incredible bass line throughout this song. In the solo run, with each trade-off between Miyako & Midori, Fami completely changes the bass line. Each section is unique because Fami and Haruna added SO much depth with changes, no straight line. Asami. What can I say. She continues to get better. Unbelievable power in this song. Tears on her ending run incredible controlled high end scream. It's not really a scream. Just an awesome high note. My all time favorite song now.
@@Patrick_H. I agree that Miho was too far back in the mix in most of Lovebites existing songs. In fact, sometimes I can't even hear Miho's bass in the mix. But I think they got the mix for Judgement Day pretty close to perfect. I understand that this simply comes down to personal preference, but I am very pleased to be able to hear the bass for the entire song, and I love how it is prominent in certain places. For example, the bass in the third guitar solo (Midori's second solo) is awesome in my opinion. I really didn't find the prominent bass sound detracted from the shredding by M&M (although, again this really comes down to personal preference).

Also a side note, this is the first song with their new bassist Fami. The original bassist, Miho, was a beloved member who left due to personal reasons causing the band to go into a year/year and a half hiatus. They then held bassist auditions, revealing Fami as their new bassist in a shortened version of their first single "Bravehearted". Fami brings an entirely new element to the band that we never thought would be possible. These ladies were already flawless, and they somehow got even better.

Regardless of the order, Lovebites has at least half a dozen videos that you've never seen. From what I recently read in other comments, you only react to music videos. Pretty bad idea. There are bands like Lovebites that make pretty normal music videos, even relatively bad ones, but their forte is in live performance. Also there are bands that make wonderful music videos and live they are garbage. Anyway, it's your channel and you guys do what you want, but you're not going to convince me that you're really interested if you haven't shown it by reviewing more videos.
