INGREDIENTS :
370 g Jenahak fish / any white fleshed fish
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 - 1/4 tsp white pepper
600 g yam / taro (1 medium sized)
1 large whole garlic (70g)
60g ginger
1 large dried squid (20 g)
some anchovy stock / soup (optional)
2 medium sized tomatoes (230 g)
1 stalk Chinese celery (40 g)
Some glutinous rice flour
3 Tbsp of cooking wine, there is no alcohol after cooking
1 Tbsp of fish sauce, or more
Add salt and pepper to taste

1/8 - 1/4 匙白胡椒
600克芋头 (1 中等的)

370 g Ikan jenahak / ikan berdaging putih
1/4 sdt garam
1/8 - 1/4 sdt lada putih
600 g ubi keladi / talas (1 saiz sederhana / sedang)
1 bawang putih utuh ukuran besar (70g)
60 g jahe / halia
1 cumi (sotong) kering ukuran besar (20 g)
stok / sup ikan bilis / teri (pilihan)
2 tomat (tomato) berukuran sedang (230 g)
1 batang seledri (saderi) cina (40 g)
tepung ketan / beras pulut
3 sdm wain memasak, tidak ada alkohol selepas dimasak
1 sdm kecap ikan atau lebih
Tambahkan garam dan lada secukupnya
If you use cubed stock, you can make it even faster but my recipes are all MSG free and I would like to keep it that way. The best seasoning comes from nature.

Please note : I don't use readily shredded dried squid because I find them lacking flavour the last few years.
