Folding frames bother All I can see is a point of failure that wears. I wouldn't advise use on Canadian roads since they are more pothole than road lol I'd weld that shut once it came out of the box. Same with stems on scooters that fold. I'd sacrifice storage for solid frame every time. I find escooter companies almost never make solid stems. I think if I got this bike I'd weld that shut drop the seat, cut and re engineer the handle bar mount to minimum height so they barely clear the frame.
Looks like they may have sent you a used customer return bike. Odd that it has 20 miles on the odometer. The good news is that it might be a simple fix. It might be defective tires or tubes. It may be a warped rim. If they let you keep that bike and send you another one, I would swap out the tires and rims to see if that cures the wobble. You're a brave lady to still put that bike through it's paces with that wobble. I just wish you would've used your full helmet, elbow and knee pads. You were scaring me doing a speed test with a defective bike. That bike does look like a quality bike for the price. Nice rims and those brakes look pretty beefy, much better than DYIsland hydraulic brakes. If you're doing any off road riding, you may want to add a suspension seat post or for extra long distance riding, take along an additional battery. Thank you for the review.
It certainly looks that way! Never had this happen before, something must have slipped under the cracks! You’re right could be something very simple. Maybe the wobble was the reason it was returned in the first place. You know when I realized the bike had this wobble I was already close to the reservoir, if I knew before hand I would have worn all of my safety gear!
I agree with you in that the bike is a nice quality for the price! And very happy it didn’t come with the awful DYIsland brakes. You’re very welcome and thank you for chiming in ❤
You do an excellent review. Was the cause of the wobble ever determined, and did you figure out if the display brightness was adjustable? Also, any further thoughts about their customer service since your review?
Thanks so very much! The cause of the wobble was never determined- I think it’s from a faulty front suspension attachment. Honestly I didn’t do more to determine the brightness of the screen. Customer service I received was excellent and apologetic, they promised to send me a new model because they have never had such an issue, if I get a new model I will be happy to dive deep into all of the specs and tests and rave about this bike, because other than the wobble it all was great. I’ll be disappointed if they don’t send me a new healthy model. Thanks for chiming in ❤️
You know that does make a lot of sense to me! But Kingbull says they have no idea how that happened- so who knows right? 🫠 Something slipped between the cracks….
Hopefully this bike was just dud, sounds like it is. I really liked the other Kingbull you had. You should start your own bike club. You could call it “The Electric-Latina’s Reservoir Riders” 😊
I really think it was a dud, because Kingbull talked to all their engineers and all the other RU-vidrs they sent this bike to, and everybody said they didn’t experience this issue! Engineers checked for a stable frame too. Haha I love that idea Bob! When I’m not so crazy busy I can start my eBike club 🤩
@@electrifiedlatina6871 Do you have any updates on testing a ‘non defective’ one yet? I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on the LiteRider but just seen your review. It’s the first one that’s been negative on it though…would really like to have an update before I purchase. Thanks!
