On my recent visit to Dallas for the Lonestar Audio Fest, I also visited Rhapsody Audio's Dallas location featuring well over a million dollars in audio systems.
Not only do they have amazing gear that you almost never see... even at shows... they have incredible listening rooms with attention to every detail from room treatments to aesthetics and power.
In this video, I do a walkthrough of the gear and listening rooms to give you an overview. In subsequent videos, I'll upload videos with music clips of their various systems.
BTW...The systems in DFW are set up in a commercial space on opposite sides of a 33’ x 22’ x 12’ room. A multitude of amp/speaker/source combinations can be arranged upon request. Those brands include Magico, Alsyvox, Diesis, Kaiser, Bayz, Kondo, Pilium, Esoteric, V.Y.G.E.R. and more..

The crossover point in the Magico MXO for M9 is 120 Hz. The standalone MXO (non-M9) is 55 Hz. That, I must say, is the best demo room I have ever seen. By a long way.

The external 2-way active crossover for the Magico M9 divides the lowest bass frequencies from everything above, hence the need for two channels of amplification per speaker. There is still a passive crossover inside each speaker to divide the remaining signal between the mid-bass, midrange and the tweeter drivers. Better still would be to make the speaker fully active but that would be even less commercially viable since it would then require 8 channels of amplification (of equal gain).

Wow the depth of silence in the room is almost anachoic chamber like. Owner's voice so clear. Chris looks like Jonathan Ive of apple fame 😁. Can't wait for demos. Are the woofers alnico?

Yeah... It's better to know the quality of design and what's inside before attributing "better" to just the price... as unfortunately many do... like you mentioned. These are very exclusive and rare pieces that have a lot more than just aesthetics to justify the prices. They aren't for everyone's budget by a long shot, but it's important to know the difference for those that can afford it.

During an era when many audio stores have disappeared, somehow Bob Visintainer has figured out how to start a national chain. I suspect that he's able to pull it off because he specializes in the very high end, so the products have large margins.

The room has only been completed for a few weeks now. The cylinder traps just happened to be sitting there are the moment. Still working on getting everything dialed in.

As always the sound quality of the interviewed is so bad. Your voice is very clear and forward....not so much for the other person in the room who sound so far away and tiny. A secondary microphone on the host would help a lot for a high end channel. Otherwise keep up the great topics coming.
