Nice! Thanks for the video Will the iPad if it has a case on? Also, do both SD readers work simultaneously if you have a micro SD and regular SD inserted?
Sure! Yes, the slot of the stand is wide enough to accommodate both the iPad Pro and the case, as long as your case doesn't block the USB-C cable. All the ports can work simultaneously, including the SD card slot and microSD card slot. They are not mutually exclusive.
Seems very handy. Is it possible to use this product with M1 MacBook Air as well? I’m thinking of a setup where I can connect my MacBook to an external monitor and use it like a PC.
I think it will work with M1 MacBook too because it’s just a USB-C hub. If you are going to connect to a MacBook, I think Satechi has better and smaller USB-C hubs than this one.
@@CheapAssNomad I’m already having an iPad Pro bro and I’ve bought this Satechi Hub for it, and it works like charm. Now I’m thinking of purchasing an M1 Macbook to be used both as a laptop and a desktop (as I’m already having an external monitor, Bluetooth mouse and Bluetooth keyboard). For the desktop setup, I was searching for a stand for my laptop and that’s when I thought why not use this product. But I’m not sure whether it would fit physically and comfortably on the stand.
@@vaidyanathvs4510 Got it. We are actually on the same boat here. I am going to buy the M2 MacBook Air in the holiday season later this year. I may do another video to test this hub with my MacBook Air once I have it.
@@CheapAssNomadI have one hub of them. There is the same problem. It is possible to use na external monitor or charger. I wonder if this isn’t a limitation technical capabilities USB-C not a Satechi hub
Thank you for watching! After I plug in my headphones, I didn’t hear anything for about 2 seconds. That’s why I thought it was not working at the beginning. But after 2 seconds, everything was fine. I should have said it takes about 2 seconds for the headphones to pick up the signals. Sorry for the confusion.
I don't have a USB-C external drive now so I don't know. I don't want to give you unverified information. So I have to get back to you on this one once I have a USB-C external drive. My initial thought is "no" because Satechi's spec says "USB-C PD charging port" but not mentioning anything regarding data.
