I want people to know that Tangem has a flaw. I lost my money on a swap. The numbers looked right and once swap happened a large number showed up. When checking the addresses linked to scammer you can see they are scamming with a long line of scam. You do these videos to promote Tangem for money, but please include this one, if you want to see images I am happy to share. This wallet is NOT cold and At RISK for every coin linked to that same chain. It was changelly swap
I have ledger nano x and a, first the Display from the S goes defect. This was easy to repair. But now from my preferred Ledger X the display dies slowly. For a hardwarewallet the quality must be better. All mergers are less then 3 years old. So a display can be a problem too...
Guys im gonna save your time here its a clickbait video. Tangem not even a single time got hacked compared to all other cold hardware. Its the most secured one out there.
I have multiple cold storage options. I enjoy Tangem the most. It is just easy. I keep all long storage wallets inside a small fire proof bag, inside another fireproof bag, wrapped in fireproof ceramic sheets stuffed into a fireproof document safe, that sits in a fireproof gun safe with a external ceramic fire blanket around it. Once you lose everything to fire, you’ll understand how much is actually necessary to protect your assets from fire. It’s also a good idea to keep it against an outside wall so it is away from the most intense heat and if the house falls apart, you have a chance of your safe falling away from the fire.
That will STILL BURN in a house fire after a few hours. The only true protection is stampeding your seed phrase into steel. That will NOT burn in a house fire.
I don’t believe that if phone is hacked someone can open the wallet simply as if we want to access it we need the card to confirm . I am just guessing.
BUYER BEWARE. I need to return it because I loaned my crypto out. However, I have pay shipping fees to return to Hong Kong even though I bought it in the US. In short the cost to return is too expensive. WHAT A SCAM!!!
wondering as you say if phone gets comprised if you think it maybe or as a best mesure should we before scanning the tandem wallet qr code, before we do that should we facctory reset our phone before activating tandom! and only like you say then use it for Tangem only?
Be careful I add my VERI tokens. Hid the token and then added it back in and I lost all my tokens. Its 20 VERI tokens and they are now work $500 when I bought them for 200 total
Hi Melanie great video. I have a small question.. how do we see where we entered the pass word in the tangem app .. I remember entering one but now I don’t where it shows where to enter it.. I’m not linked out if my app or anything I’m just wondering in case I ever have I’m not locked out .. can you please help me
You can not see it, but need to enter it before a transaction will be confirmed. If you forgot your pin, you can create a new one. All you need is 2 cards to reset it.
Can you please clearify, if the tangem card only holds the private key or the cryptos as well.. i.e. if it's only holds the private key and the rest on mobile app then it shouldn't be counted as cold wallet isn't it?
If you loose your phone you are screwed basically, isn’t it ? Easy is not always the answer, if a credit card can be copied by thief, why not the Tangem card?
Incorrect. The phone app does NOT hold any secure data: it's ALL held on the card. The app is just the GUI interface. Basically, the phone won't work without the card; & the card won't work without 'A' phone! Yes, you can change phones, & install Tangem onto it. Tangem has never been hacked. You can bet thieves have tried.
If you loose your phone you can simply use it on any other phone. You just need your card and pin. And in regards to thief. He needs also a card and pin before he can do anything. Or 2 cards.
Smartphones do get hacked. How can I keep that from happening? I might purchase a new phone but then I need to know how to keep it safe. Always something!
The safest way: Get a brand new phone any only use it for crypto. Do not download anything else apart from the legit wallet apps and do not interact with smart contracts.
I bought a 3card pack Tangem wallet, several months ago, and have never used it , not even unsealed it . Reason?! Yes a very expensive reason, it needs an NFC capable phone or tablet device to be of any use. In Africa, such a NFC capable phone costs over $400 to buy . Videos I watched before deciding to buy this Tangem wallet, all spoke about the pro's and the wallets supposed "cheap" price, BUT, not one video said that my android 13 operating system phone would NOT work !!! A friend of mine bought a far later Samsung Galaxy with much newer version of Android, and even his phone does not have NFC capable hardware. All videos I watched said "ANY phone of Android 6 and above" would work !? NOT true !!!! Next time I choose a Trezor or something else , but never a $500 plus cold wallet system !!! I feel cheated !!!!!!!!!
What are you talking about? Almost all smartphones have NFC, even phones from 10 years ago have NFC… Not sure where you live in Africa but you can definitely get a phone with it easily, whether it’s Samsung Galaxy or not. You have to be joking
You fail to mention the cost of returning the cards to Tangem if something goes wrong. I purchased the Tangem Wallet 3 card set and found out that I could not use it because my phone does not have an NFC module. I was going to return the cards for a refund but found out that I would have to send the cards to a Hong Kong address and pay the postage myself. I'm in the US so I imagine postage to mail to a Hong Kong address would be really expensive.
I understand this can be frustrating. But honestly, I wouldn't say in your case that sometimes went wrong from Tangem sides. It's very clear that you need an NFC compatible phone. Other wallet providers wouldn't accept any return in this case, honestly. And if Tangem needs to be replaced due to a mistake or error from them, I am sure they will cover/refund the return label. 🙏
Well, they only added the seedphrase option a couple of months ago. The old cards are not upgradeable. They told me, that they would work on the passphrase. But so far I only more and more shitcoins added to it
What happens if you start getting dimentia or suffering from alzheimers? Or if you get a concusion or go into a coma? What good will your seed phrase be then? It's absolutley ludicrous hearing all you people prosletize about the seed phrase without giving a second thought to the rammifications of your own mortality. Memorizing a personalized pin code or password is MUCH more natural than memorizing twelve words ffs.
