a lot of people need to understand this. EVEN IF Wei Wuxian never stood for the Lans, even if he never got involved in anything; the Wens were still going to attack the other clans and to do what they did. Wei Wuxian was never the reason of what happened and Jiang Cheng's sadness is understandable but he will always be a jerk for blaming everything on Wei Ying. Also, Wei Ying's revenge from the Wens and especially the disgusting couple gotta be one of the most satisfying scenes in the history of cdramas.

No they can't do anything without their swords did u forget wen clan took their swords their spiritual power is connected to their swords that's why wen clan purposefully took their swords even though wuxian knows other cultivation techniques like talismans, spells etc.. right now he is so weak he have to recuperate he doesn't have strength

I think some commenter mentioned it but wei wuxian and jiang cheng are supposed to be teenagers here they are not that powerful, sure wwx is mighty compared to the peers his age but the wen clan is much more powerful and they have yin iron with them too plus their swords got taken away from them which renders them powerless

i think madam yu is a very complex character she didn't treat wwx very well yes but it also originated from a lot of different reasons in her pov there were a lot of rumours about him being the child of a possible love affair between her husband and wwx's mother there was constant comparison of jc and wwx and it didn't help that their father was a bit softer to wwx (we know why he was being strict with jc coz he's going to be the future cpan leader) wwx too was kind of involved in provoking wen chao according to jc But from madam yu's pov everything added up on her and her husband apparently never outright said he loved her (i read it somewhere correct me if i am wrong) So that's why the scene with them holding each other's hands and him possibly saying i love you is so impactful and even if he didn't complete his sentence she smiled closed her eyes as if she understood what he wanted to say she got her solace at the end (according to the drama )

*Deep sigh* Gods same! The anger when I see Wen Chao and Lingjiao on screen is the same!!!!! I just want them off my screen. Funny how I love Wen Chao's actor though xD such a gremlin. Anyways, Madam Yu is badass. She's not a good mother in its "ideal" sense but she did try to mother, with tough love, to a-Cheng and a-Li. It's just the upbringing. She's actually an anomaly, as I may put it, to the cultivation world coz she's a good fighter in addition to coming from a clan with high status. Her identity and beliefs are rooted albeit warped. Looking at it on a different POV she just wanted the best for a-Cheng as the future leader of the Jiang clan and when Wuxian came and showed "superior" skills and leadership quality, she felt that her son's image and position was threatened. That's just it really, and so she just finds every shiz to nitpick and develop this insecurity and absurd assumptions and delusions re: Fengmian and Cangse Sanren (Wuxian's mom), as you may already deducted, there is no affair whatsoever xD And Fengmian did love madam Yu, their relationship is just that complicated because of all the misunderstandings and shiz... one thing though, they both are not good in the parenting division 😂. They both lack parenting sense which is why a-Cheng's personality and ideals are uhmmm... warped. A-Li is the real parent in that household seriously then again she did show favoritism over Wuxian as well 🤧 But c'mon!!! Who won't love Wuxian??? He's such an annoying darling😅 Also, this episode is the turning point for everything. What some come to overlook sometimes is that Wuxian, Lan Zhan and a-Cheng and their generation are just around 16ish when all of these happened and they grew up in a fairly peaceful environment and their cultivation are just being honed. So suddenly being thrown in these situations they have the right to be helpless. And do remember that they don't have their weapons with them, so even if they did want to fight they can't. Wuxian probably ran out of paper charms, too, plus he was whipped by Zidian a dozen times. And do note that Zidian is one ruthless whip. A regular adult could end up in bed 3-5 days tops with just one hit but Wuxian was there running around, saving a-Cheng's 🍑 and everything.

No they just used wei wuxian as a reason to attack lotus pier even if wuxian didn't do it wen clan would have attacked them don't forget lan clan and nie clan they were also attacked for no reason everything happens in cultivation world it's wuxian's fault for these stupid cultivation clans what I meant u will understand in upcoming episodes
