🤬 The DIRTIEST DRIVER in a long time!. RALLYING.. SHORT Races! || Weekly Race Guide - Week 25 2024 

So in terms of the rating system; - Start: Is it good/bad. Grid Starts are good in my opinion (Unless lead to huge crashes). Rolling starts can be good unless they start on or before a corner. - Car / Tyre Choice: Is it a good Car / Tyre choice? Does it work well. Racing Hard Tyres aren't the greatest in my view but sometimes they can work. - Good Racing / Strategy: Can you have some good battling, can you race side by side. Is there a good Strategy, e.g. pitting on different laps possible etc. - No Penalty Issues: Track Limit issues where they don't make sense, Wall Penalties that don't make sense etc. - Race Length / Randomness: Is it a good length of time to race. E.g. Laguna is 5 laps, but the 1st is a catch up lap... Weather etc. for the randomness So if it's good it's 1 point (Car is .5 tyre is .5) and then we add that up to get a score out of 5. Daily Race C is normally double the length so should have a greater impact and that is out of 10. So then if; Week is OVER 15: Then its a GOOD Week Week is OVER 10: Then it's an Average Week Otherwise: Not a good Week Why are scores so high? Because it's very easy to create a good race and we should be getting the best we can. I am also trying to take out my opinions of the scoring with combos I might not like but may be good. Let me know your feedback of course! This score sheet may change in the future with your opinion!

The German in race C also had countersteering assist enabled, which is an enormous problem when it comes to dirty drivers in higher splits overall. There is no reason whatsoever for countersteering & active stability management driver assists to be allowed when it's frequently abused to end other player's races while a dirty player gets to keep their car on-track. PD should be disabling those assists automatically in Sport mode past a certain Driver Rating to discourage that type of behavior & to make them think twice about trying any funny business as it will cause them to spin out as well.

Could you also include in the lap guides where the brake marker would be for turn 1 during the actual race? This can help reduce lots of carnage since turn 1 brake marker different from rolling or grid starts. Thank you for the guides, they are the best and helped me a ton!

A very poor Daily week that I'm gonna be skipping. Race A - Happy to see a Rally track in Dailies as we haven't seen Colorado in a while but the Volvo is weird on Dirt tyres which is hard to get a racing line down. Race B - With the track at sunset which I do like since we haven't got night races in a while, the Rolling Starts is what held it back as well plus Laguna Seca is one of my weak tracks Race C - Major skip because of dirty drivers like the German driver we just saw, another thing to add on Lap 1, he tried to force me off track when I try go round the outside. After he sent you off and multiple brake checking At that point I had enough of this guy ruining everyone's race that I had been respectful racing with over the years and decide to take one for the team and be the one to give this guy the karma he deserves. Apologies to GOTMAXPOWER for his brief trip to the grass during that incident. Now I did get emailed by Sony themselves for breaching code of conduct mainly due to 'uploaded content' on GT7, possibly from the driver in question I called dirty after the race in game-chat but hopefully that'll be the last time I had to give any driver karma cause I'm stick of these awful driving standards that ruined the fun out of this game. P.S I gave your drift a 9/10, wish we could have drift races in Gran Turismo.

Hi Tidgney aside your marvellous video which I'm sure everyone appreciates enormously, thankyou. I think the main issue with these talentless people are the assists that PD employ in their game. Every dirty driver has countersteer assist on as it redirects their back into a straightline. It's about time they were turned off, on Sport they were on for the first 7 months then were turned off, if you cant drive a basic slow car without assists I suggest they take up diddlywinks, thanks again for your video

Is there any proof of people getting reported and actually getting banned or any action against them? I've seen the same dirty drivers for years, feels like something outside of our control.

Just a little thought on what PD could do to breath new life in to the weekly races... Instead of A, B & C, Split the races in to classes; Road cars, 5/6 laps (sports soft/mediums) Gr.4, 6/8 laps depending on track (10 laps at Brands Hatch Indy was great the other week) (Mediums/Soft) Gr.3, 10/12 laps (Soft/Medium/Hard) Gr.2 or 1, 15/20 laps (Soft/Medium/Hard) 2 or 3 races per class a week, randomly rotating throughout the day and shorter times between races. Track limits: you get at least 3 warnings and then a 0.5 or 1 sec pen.... and the place where you take the penalty to be moved nearer the end of straights not half way down, as the time it takes to get back up to speed cost so much more. BOP: Just make all cars perform the same... almost every week everyone ends up in the same car anyway! At least that way you can drive for the manufacturer you want and not be at a disadvantage.

Gt7 is good, but it won't be great until car damage is real or high. Until then, dirty or sloppy drivers will just keep showing up.

Given the higher crop of dirty drivers in Daily Races than normal, would you ever consider making a video outlining some acceptable ways to defend yourself from dirty drivers (i.e pushing back on a car trying to force you into a barrier on a straight)? As someone forced back down to C/S due to people making themselves look bad, it'd be great to know how to shake off drivers like the German in Race C o/

Yay for variety in car choice, Gr.3 is good but we don't need it every single week of the year. Boo for Autopolis, sector 3 there is what everyone thinks Fuji sector 3 is in terms of awkwardness and lack of overtaking.

I really miss the Tokyo tracks....fast flowing esp races in rain and these had got very common during the last months of GT6. I guess they are never played in GT7, no?

Looks like I might be able to get my DR to A and maybe even A+ if I’m lucky this week thanks to race B (Laguna Seca is one of my strongest tracks where I can even keep up with some of the pros)

Does anything have an effect on the dirty tire debuff? (Speeds, curves, distance) Some cars seem quirky in some situations; has anyone have a car flip on its roof in the blink of an eye or catch air unexpectedly? The dirt antics I blame myself/inexperience on tracks. I'd love to see the top racers get the fastest cars of each class in a 'Trans Am/IROC' style series. Then use the fastest car in the game for the finals; full grid of the top clean drivers in a matched fully tuned Tomahawk. I can barely do a lap on some of those courses in those cars; to see the best race at speeds I can't fathom would be astounding. I can't even get gold in that Merc on the 'Ring lol

It's good to know, that as bad as I think I suck at this game sometimes. You're only 3 seconds faster (which I know is still alot)

As a German myself I have to say, that the One in Daily Race C is in Fact a Moron. And People like him are A/A while I'm stuck in C/B and I try my Best to be clean somewhat

Counter steer assist is classic dirty driver there from the German

Race B - why not downshift to 3rd around the left corner to go up the long uphill? I have tried staying in 4th and downshifting, and I always get more boost around the corner in 3rd, but no "youtubers" do that.

Can you please also include accelerating points when doing your brilliant lap guide? Maybe use the meta car for us less good drivers 😄 i believe+90 percent of your viewers will use the meta car when doing races.

We could have cleaner racing and more ability to pass with SS. I feel like the lack of passing potential is going to make people impatient as the week goes on and risky driving will take over
