bolton fan here. well played you tractor boys. last season you were the best team in league one. I knew you would at least hold your own in championship but now promotion is getting very real. wish you all the best for the remaining games and hope we can follow yor example.
We, Ipswich, get that compliment quite a lot about being the best team in the league last year. But history will always show Plymouth as champions. Fingers crossed history could repeat itself. Arguably I’d say Leeds and Leicester have amazing squads but there’s something about us underdogs that’s giving us so much belief that we can do it and win the league.
Leeds fan here, absolutely fantastic game. Keeps the battle for auto promotion alive. Everyone is talking about the run in for the EPL title when this run in between us, Ipswich and Leicester doesn't exist when this promotion run is where the hype is at
Yeah Probs one of the most entertaining title fights to date. and I'm an Ipswich Fan, heck back in 2019, I was an Ipswich Town Mascot when they played Leeds at the end of the 18-19 season
Im an ipswich fan and i hope us and u go up because it would be nice to see all the toxic Leicester fans cry about bottling it when they were15 points clear at Christmas 😂
Supporting this club for 48 years has never been better Mckenna is top drawer i really hope he stays as he has made this club worth watching and travelling from North Wales week in week out worth it 56 years on earth i never thought i would see the glory days again i can't help cry when I see them perform like they do and also the amount of love naturals give us is very moving thank you.
Absolute amazing game it most definitely hasn’t been boring/dull watching Ipswich this season! Their fans must be on cloud 9 with the season they’ve had so far, I hope you win the league now & I’m sure you’ll do well in the premier too! All the best tractors boys! (🦉💙🦉fan)
My god the 3rd goal was just outstanding, one of the greatest recoveries i@ve ever seen! And the roars of the Ipswich fans gave my goosebumps! C'mon the tractors, win the championship! From a Wolves fan
That is one of the best games that I have watched, in a long, long time. The atmoshere looked lifelong memorable. Reminded me of the days of Mills, Wark, Osbourne and Paul Mariner.
That last goal by Sarmiento, there were six Southampton defenders around him just watching him. How he poked that ball in from that standing position is unbelievable.
I've waited 15+ years to see Ipswich playing so well. My dad grew up in Lewisham & then Ipswich, so I've always had a soft spot for Ipswich even though I'm from the States. REALLY hope they go up. I'm a United fan, but I can't help but root for Ipswich as well!
Agree! To both spent the last decade and more working around Norwich the Canaries were so full of themselves my Town are back 1972 Stoke home my first game ❤
_"Ipswich have only had two shots on target in this second half... they've been thoroughly outplayed..."_ Immediately score a 90+7 winner. Sensational season, but my heart can't take a lot more of this.
We don't have the skills of the ex prem players and were outplayed in first half, but we learn quickly and Keiron knows what needs to done and no other team fights to the very end like Town, win lose or draw its never give in.
The most beautiful feelings I experienced watching the wonderful win and the strong comeback... Indeed, if you want to enjoy watching football, you should follow English football...Congratulations and all the best, God willing, to Ali Al-Hammadi and his companions,🇮🇶🇮🇶
Love how KmK is slowly introducing him to the team and the way we play. This was his 1st time playing in the 1st half of the Championship (because of Moore's injury), but I've a feeling he's a future star for us. Let's hope he gets the chance to grow - in the EPL! COYB!
No way, what a masterclass by the manager. His two substitutes won him the game. You could clearly see that no.10 (who went off) was having a decent game and was absolutely fuming at being taken off, but the manager was spot on. Props to Kieran.
as a leeds fan i want. leeds numero uno. Ipswich 2 cause they are incredible. 3 Leicester cause it be funny if they didnt make it and then lost to Norwich in the play offs
I would hire the Ipswich manager as the new Head Coach of Manchester United Football Club. He plays the brand of football the club demands and would work well with the academy players and Mainoo, Hojlund, and Mount.
I'm a neutral but I hope Ipswich go up. Great club, great history. They are playing so well. Ipswich and Leeds, with Leicester promoted via the playoffs.
I will never forget that goal at the end of that game and the emotions that we all showed in the ground the hole of Ipswich was jumping that day that was one of the highlights of my days supporting Ipswich since 1974
This is why Ipswich are gonna win the league, best fans, best games, best culture and incredible players. And this has got to be the best championship game of the season full-stop.🤯🎉🥇⚽️
He is good defensively but due to the way we play with him basically being a left winger it is an area that gets picked on. I think he's now got 30 assists in 2 seasons which is just insane.
I'm sure I've asked this B4 so sorry If it was answered properly. Why was Sarmiento on loan at wba from Brighton, then we or I was led to believe Brighton needed to recall him, next thing we know he's gone to Ipswich????
For the second goal he probably didn't think the defender would let the ball go through his legs, and for the third goal he was badly unsighted mainly by his useless defenders, it's too easy to blame a keeper.
Two scrumptious substitutions enable Ipswich come from behind W against Southampton whom controlled position after going a goal down, game highlights.....👋
Voice was a mess after that game, got back to the car and just had to sit for 10 minutes cos my ears were still ringing. Insane atmosphere and end, don’t know how we come away with 3 points after Southamptons dominance and the ref constantly giving them free kicks, best way to win a game tho🚜
Ive said it once and ill say it again.....we need a forward thinking strategist like Mick Beale / Steve Evans / Tim Sherwood to lead the Holy Saints back to the Champions League!!!!
It's better we who are on a regular diet of Premier League standard of soccer NOT watch EFL games. The gulf in standards are really huge, honestly... Whichever team got promoted surely has to buy much better players and better coaches.... Just look at Burnley & Sheffield United...
How on earth did Ipswich win that game. Them shots at Southampton goal looked more like back passes to the goalie. Mad how a team has won most of their matches by scrappy goals in the last few mins, Weird!!
Straight red all day every day, it's got nothing to do with last player or not, Davis had a genuine scoring opportunity taken from him when he was tripped its that simple.
He was last man. You can’t predict that a player will cover in the future or if the attacker had a good opportunity or bad opportunity. The direction of running and tackle from clear last man means red card offence
@@akoredeajayi6938 He is classed as a wing back, so if he's gone forward and the opposition break out a midfielder covers his position until he gets into the left back position.
Southampton's plan is not to go back to the Premiership and end up like Forest, Luton, Burnley and Sheffield with thousands of miserable fans watching them struggle week in, week out. Not their fault however it's just the stupid way the English leagues are structured
Ipswich luckiest team is football history. Fluke late goals vs Leicester (both games), Rotherham and now today. They’re gonna need that luck to continue cuz they’ve got some tough teams still to play and up until the red card, Southampton was easily the better side
yeah we were real lucky when we conceded twice in injury time against cardiff. ipswich deserve to be up there more than any team in this league, mckenna has created something really special at portman road and it’s no fluke that we’re top of the league with 6 games to play lad. roll on saturday COYB
People don't get it, we pass teams to death, they get tired and then we punish them. On top of that we have an amazing squad that is still mostly the squad from league one and we have one of the best young managers in England...look at how many goals we have scored from McKenna's substitutions. We are light years ahead of dinosaur clubs in this league which is why other teams fans don't understand what is happening
@@glencurtis6052 they cry about late goals and comeback wins not realising mckenna planned every substitution perfectly. he changes it when it’s not working and adapts to the oppositions play. thats what makes him one of the best
