I use the tissue paper to transfer a lot. I like how the edge is so much softer than cutting.

Other option when printing out graphics onto tissue paper is to use mount spray on printer paper then cover with tissue/transfer paper and trim any excess.

Yes, in South Africa we call it "tinfoelie" or "aluminiumfoelie" (Afrikaans) translated: tin foil or aluminum foil. Love that idea - definitely going to try that hot glue and tin foil in a project.

We've always just called it foil. Or occasionally aluminum foil. Just my opinion, I'd be ok with a few rub ons here and there, but some channels have switched over to just rub on's and/or chalk couture stencils and paste. And they are pretty, just gets somewhat boring to see everyone use the same things over, just in different ways. But it's your channel. Do what you're comfortable doing. I'm sure it'll be fine. I love those trees you made! And the gingerbread cutting board was very pretty. That red, beautiful. TFS. God bless. ❤

I haven’t been lucky enough to get my hands on the transfers, but my stockiest has it on back order. So I’m waiting very impatiently, hopefully she will get them. I have however used the stamps and molds and I love them. I love any diy with I o d products.

I love how your Christmas trees turned out I happened to see this trick before so I will be making some soon. Aren't those Christmas transfers gorgeous I was lucky to get all three of those transfers yes they are costly but they are worth every penny I have something I want to put together with Grandma Kringle candy canes transfer on for my craft show so I am looking forward to be working with them this year. These came out great. I love the aluminum foil trees, BTW my sister down south says tin foil. Lol I think the sign would look good with a little sprig of holly on the top corner. Just one crafter's opinion 😊

I'm from the UK and we always call it tin foil. Simply because originally it was made from a very thin tin that could be used in an open fire, now it's aluminium, a much safer product.

Thank you for the inspiration! I love your scrap wood trees. You can remove the hot glue strings before adding your foil by running your heat gun with a quick wave over the glue; they disappear!

love the trees, and all of the projects . You can also achieve that verdigris finish by spraying the trees with a copper spray paint, then place bleach in a spray bottle, spray the bleach on the wet copper spray paint.
