I keep trying to recommend your videos to people but when you make these stupid clickbait face thumbnails it makes them go "uh wtf, no" and refuse to watch it because they are put off by the thumbnail. I'm not even saying not to make faces or anything for thumbnails, and the rest of the thumbnail is excellent, but thumbnail faces like the one for this video as an example turn off potential new viewers from my experience recommending your stuff.
feels like Game 1 the Sundering Titan would have been a better threat to bring in over the leveller since your opponent was playing a 3 colour deck? still an interesting idea of a deck though
the main difference between those and things like evoke and cascade is that delve, improvise, and convoke are all ways of paying that mana as opposed to ways to not pay mana at all.
@@jerrymcdaniel6643 the first two decks all ran counterspells and didn’t play any creatures, so spending a turn playing a 6 mana 12/12 that would get subtletied and not do anything is kinda risky, especially when there’s other cards that could be played and have more immediate impact and the emrakul could generate more value later on when the opponent does play creatures.
@@jerrymcdaniel6643 they don’t tap out on their turn except when they cast the one ring or a board wipe, and subtlety works on their turn as well. Also, the one time he casted it, it got otowara’ed back to his hand. Every time Jim could have casted the Emrakul by madness or just straight cast, he simply had better things to do with his mana than casting a 6 mana 12/12 hexproof that can be countered for no value.
@@andrewp6738 you say that, but just look at 10 new brews the modern ones got like 40% more views than the arena ones.. and even his coolstuff videos, the modern ones usually outpreform the standard ones. Even this one is on pace to out preform most standard arena videos.... i care about gameplay not whats better to watch and mtgo has better gameplay and you play agnist better opponets witch is why i personally play mtgo way more than arena. If you wana get better at the game and learn then its far superior to arena
"modern is a modern horizons format" just like EDH turned into a "new cards from the precon" format. i get new cards sell but with my "eternal" formats having become a revolving door of overly priced special set cards im done with magic. the only thing keeping a toe in the door for me is your excellent content. love what you do.
