I mean as a 2010 kid I always thought generations were 15 years, so I always assumed I’m Genzie and it’s only become a new thing that I have. Apparently Gen Alpha.
Loool how? Late 90s and early 2000s are all the same age range. Plus why does if matter so much? It's a label. I find it funny when someone says 97 isn't gen z but 2000 is when that's THREE YEARS DIFFERENCE.
@@meganfc7094 I'm born in 1998 and I have siblings born in 2000 and 2002. The 1997 people I went to school with have no definitive Gen Z characteristics.
@joshuafult84 that's ridiculous. I'm 1999 and 97 I know MANY with gen z characteristics. To say someone born in 2000 is different to someone born in 1997 is beyond dumb. My friends who are 97 are friends with 2002 and they all say they are very similar upbringing. If 97 sint then buddy 98 and 99 isn't either LOL. Also I work with 97, 98 and 99 and the early 90s kids and 80s all call us older gen z lol
@@joshuafult84 when 1997 were at school, same with 2000 and 2001 - who were actually all at school together btw, gen z wasn't even a thing. To me, core gen z is 2002 and onwards. Late 90s so 97 to 2001 are a mix of millenial and gen z. However, everyone is obsessed with gen z and if you are one. It doesn't define people LOL. I know many 96 babies who claim they are gen z. I know people born in 2001 who say they are millenials

Born in late 2000 c/o 2019, I believe 2000 is the first 100% off-cusp Gen Z year. 2012 seems late to end Gen Z, in my opinion. 2010 or 2011 is better. Zillennials (1994-1999): Adults in the workforce during the pandemic or well into college. Early Gen Z: transitioning into adulthood when the pandemic started. (late HS or barely in college) (2000-2002/3) voted for Biden. Core Gen Z: In secondary school but not adults yet in 2020. (2003/4-2006) Late: 2007-2009 In HS when the pandemic was getting better or over Zalpha:2010-2015 (meets 3/3 pew range as of now) these kids remember covid. Gen Alpha MAY remember covid, but barely a time before it. Covid was our last defining moment just like 9/11 was for millennials. Gen Z came of age during covid. I see 2009 as the last possible year before the cusp.

in that case it would probably be 2011, cuz 2009 and 2010 were elementary schoolers then became middle schoolers for a bit while the pandemic was still going on
Ngl all the respect to you and I know dates dont matter, but the whole study thing doesn't make sense. Since some people born in 2009 and 2010 would be in the same grade. So that doesn't make sense and in my opinion generations should based on your graduation year.
ok so in america kids go to school at like 5? that would make people who were born in about 2015 gen z. where i live kids go to school at 7 so being born in 2013 would make them the last part of gen z but people keep saying 2010 is gen alpha so whats really going on here
