One of my all time favorite HS girl players was so tiny that when I first saw her I thought the team was really desperate for players. Then see her run the court as a point guard, and then realize...wow.....size has nothing to do w/ heart and talent. Vanessa ended up being one of the few players ever to be named So. Calif. player of the year in HS for two straight years......

No one will remember who won the championships without a google search in 10 years, but they will remember Caitlin Clark. There is a laundry list of great college players who never won a championship. She has moved women's basketball forward in ways Parker and Breanna never did - 13000 for a preseason game? Teams are moving to bigger arenas because of her. The WNBA may be able to stand on its own because of her. Charter flights, more visibility. A rising tide raises all boats.
