I’m so glad I found this video. I want to turn a logo I made (non of it are cricut images) in cricut design space and make it an svg so I am able to upload it in other software. My logo is very simple, one colour so this would work well I think. Gosh I was wracking my brain all day. Inkscape is not user friendly so I’m so thankful there is another way.
Another excellent video. I might just have to start using Photoshop to create designs from now on. It's just so much work in other programs to create really nice svg's. Thanks for this info though. It's great for quick, simple designs. Love every one of your videos. Wish I could watch them all day. 💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
Yes, I believe you can, I think it's pretty similar to these results in that the software traces the design (or something similar). Hope this helps! ---Becky
Hi Jamie! Unfortunately, you cannot save an SVG to your computer in Cricut Design Space. However, you can with the Silhouette Studio Business Edition! It is an extra expense, but if you are looking to create and sell your own SVG files, it's very user friendly and worth the investment! - Dawn 🙂
Hi Sharon! Design Space does have it's limitations and unfortunately we can't save as an SVG. You can save it as a PDF through the Print and Cut option and try to convert but I would be hesitant because the clarify will certainly be effected.
Where can I create images at? I’ve just purchased a sawgrass printer & im ready to start selling t-shirts, but I want to create images I can manipulate into being mine. I have no clue where to start, or when I see an image I like how do I know if I can use it or not?
I’m sorry but does anyone know the answer to why silhouette studio is saying media not detected when I’m trying to cut? I’ve cut this same design several times and this started out of nowhere.
Hey Alex, I might have a trick for you. I know this sounds weird, but open a new tab in Silhouette Studio, then copy and paste your design into the new design area. Let me know if this helps! ---Becky
And this is why you do not design in Cricut Design Space. There are a lot of options out there that are better than Design Space for designing. If I didn't have to use it for cutting with my Explore Air, I'd delete it.
It’s such a shame as I never used to get issues with DS. Since they changed to the desktop app as they call it it’s been appalling. Constant issues and problems. I think Inkscape is complicated and can also sometimes be a little glitchy for some although I think it’s amazing (I personally don’t know how to use it but have seen what it can do). I am currently learning how to use SCAL as that’s enough for me. Cricut really need to sort the problems as they’ll loose customers which is a shame because their machines are incredible
