Printing from Android smartphones or tablets
It is for HP printers with Wi-Fi Direct or connected to a network and Android smartphones and tablets.
Print from your device with Android OS 5.0 and later to your printer using the HP Print Service Plug-in.
Step 1: Install the HP Print Service Plug-in
Install the HP Print Service Plug-in on your Android OS 5.0 or later device, and then activate the plug-in.
NOTE: The menus, icons, and location of print settings may vary depending on the Android version and device manufacturer.
Confirm that your Android device is connected to the same network as your printer, or that Wi-Fi Direct is enabled on your printer and on your Android device.
On your Android device, install or update the HP Print Service Plug-in.
When the installation or update is complete, choose your Android device to activate the plugin:
Android 7 (Nougat) and later devices: The HP Print Service Plugin is automatically activated after installation. Continue with these steps.
Android 6 (Marshmallow) and earlier devices: Tap Settings, find and open HP Print Service, and then tap On.
Turn off any other printing service plug-ins, if necessary.
Your Android device is now ready to print using the HP Print Service Plugin.
