❤ thanks for this video. Generally Jase the comments show, for the most part, Australians care about all of you, and the series you give to us. We don't normally see such carnage, so it was a shock. Glad that the only thing damaged was a vehicle. May you all have a great 2024.
I was at the Daintree village the day they turned up been raining nearly every day for a month track closed soon after pretty dumb taking a vehicle like that on it
I can't help but to add, he mentioned PJ in this coverage of the event. Should have just phoned him for a no go response. It poured rain the whole night after day one, the whole night whilst they camped, right beside the track it poured throughout the night, did that resonate in your mind? Question, why proceed with all that intelligence on hand? Recap, you were set up knowing the track would be mush, knowing you don't attempt it in wet, surely commonsense says stay put at camp. If it wasn't deemed suitable there is a dedicated camp location at the aboriginal elders site, they'd driven right past it, again, they'd been advised to stay put. Sorry Jase but you did set a poor example, you've prompted numerous cowboys to take it on against all advise, "Do Not Drive When Rain is Predicted" which you conceded on day one of episode one, rain was predicted. After criticising you decision I'm truly relieved your laughing about it now. Hang in for another season Jesse.
Gotta love the show. Hands down beats anything else on tv. Old Jesse was thrown to the sharks this season doing both the Carson and CREB tracks. Even though Jess rolled the Chevy, you can't take away that it was a huge ask of him to drive two of the toughest tracks in Australia with limited off road experience. To be fair, nobody could of prevented that roll over in such a large vehicle. The track became a mud pit from Hell
You blokes are living the dream. What you do is bloody awesome. Well done lads. If you get any negative comments it’s from negative people who wish they did a tenth of the stuff you blokes do. It was a hectic trip especially after the rain hit but no one’s watching you take a trip to the shops. You have made something special Jase and crew and you should be very proud as you’re the best thing on tv. Bigger and better every year.
A lot of people just think you’ll get a new one and it will be fine but unfortunately I don’t think it’s that easy and simple! Been watching you guys for years and never get enough of your content!!
Bro I think you and everyone involved in the building of the Chevy should be proud of how much strength your canopy saving the driver cabin and now you have a better idea of bash bars to save fenders and the fact jessy only bruised his ego after speed versus weight of vecheical and the slope of decent and momentum I think all sponsors should be proud of how much their product stood up to all of that and is good feed back for all to improve from and love your show guys great to see jessy is ok and Simon dry sence of humor just makes you feel like your there laughing with you
Jesse next time you want to see how much oil is in the Chevy try using the dip stick first before rolling the Chevy lol bro if I was your sponsor i would be trialing all my stock to show the public even when it all goes wrong their products are tough enough to keep going to the end Chevy Australia should give you a fleet of their off road pick up trucks show how capable they are in Australian conditions they could right it off for research and development if they were real serious about getting their trucks known around Australia your saving Chevy millions in research and development in Australia don't let fear stop you ask Chevy to get onboard the worse they can say is no and at the very best more of your shows putting the beast through your testing centre the outback and hopefully you can make a good coin for your efforts
I keep seeing what appears to be a very fresh tire track going halfway up that hill that Jess went up and rolled over off of... Anyone else see that and have an explanation ?
From the camera car, or maybe a test hit for an insurance job lol Now that I've rewatched, it was the exact wheel placement the Chevy went. Very suspicious
The camera men car should be in their own show clearly better drivers. Like the tool of the West... all bogged yet the track of the camera car made it and its a almost stock car...
We did that track in 1981 in a Landcruiser BJ42 SWB with only Dunlop Roadgripper tyres, no winch or recovery gear , it was wild with only a tiny bit of rain . Great advertisement for your sponsors guys as I hadn't heard of some of the brands before you guys come along 😉
Thanks guys for taking the time to answer and respond to some of these dumbass questions and comments made by armchair experts. You showed much more patience and restraint than I would have.
We namin that hill?? ‘Chevys run’, ‘Chevys roll’, ‘Simon’s slide’, Jesse’s run?? Another great tourist attraction that’s just become more famous - doing your bit for QLD tourism! awesome stuff 💪💪🤘
Hey Jase you and your team survived and well which is the most important for your team. I’m sure you’ll get this truck up and ready for your next adventure. I’m sure Jessie will be a great asset to your adventures. Good luck to you all.
Thx Jas for creating this video - great to hear your and Jesse's views - Still a great advert for Chevy, even though it was right off it still managed to have all its in built systems - especially seeing you Jas back at your property and doing donuts. You're not going to forget in - on the web forever. D-Max and Toyota's awesome built trucks. Awesome show Jas - keep on keeping on. Whoop
The fact of it all,it wouldn't have mattered if Jesse hit the brakes or not you have the limiter, abs and other safety features. Like electric E brake. The left front probably busted the suspension on the left because that was the side that hit the bank first.
What is a reverse laughing matter is Snow Chains BECAUSE IT'S NOT A LAUGHING MATTER ‼️ Tyre chains are magic in exstream conditions FULL STOP regardless of weight and space they take. I've ridden CREB track in the rain on a TT500 huge NIGHTMARE . Never the less well done to Jase, Simon and everyone well done keep it up you guys rock thank you.
Glad everyone got home safe cars are replaceable the stuff you do for our entertainment is amazing keep it up we learn from you guys what can be done and the vehicle builds are fantastic 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I drove the Creb in the rain in 2004 with a set of 38" super swamper extreme tyres fitted to my GU Ute ... even they did not dig into that hard red clay and just slid across the top. it like driving on concrete with oil on it.
MATE , awesome vid, great all are good and in good spirits still. Lock up was probable decompression . feel sorry for the totalling of the truck like him I would feel so guilty.Whoever got the rig got a bargin 20K for a 400K ? truck what a win ,the canopy would be upward of 60K alone. love the content keep it up (UPRIGHT 😁)
Reverse gear works on that track, I've done it. A local told us about jumping on the brakes to lock the wheels, find reverse give it some revs and get off the brake and clutch. Unbelievably pulled up to a dead stop. It got us through in the pouring rain. Probably can't be done in an auto. 34:23
@@glenodso if the camera car had a slide and presumably a near miss just prior, why'd they send the biggest rig afterwards? My money is on it was staged for views, controversy etc. It worked didn't it. Show is fading with more media competition.
@@Gazzatron51Lol so you think they were like ok... we should roll the 300k truck? Ok Jesse are you right to risk your life for some views? Seriously mate you need to think before you post stupid shit like that
This Silverado ZR2 didn't have the proper tyres/maybe pressures, was fully loaded(vs camera vehicle), with too much speed, but still should have winched down the hill like the mid size utes.
Hi Jas , waaaaay back in the early nineties I got 2 Suzuki Sierras stuck in rainforest in Kuranda. After much thought , I drove down to "Lunds 4X4" in Cairns and bought a set of Snow Chains ($90). Worked a charm. Still don't think anything but bad luck caused Jessies crash. Love the show. To use some other buggers saying "Keep the shiney side up"
The mercs and beamers blow a fuse when the airbags go off. The blown fuse will prevent you from starting the car after an accident and causing mechanical damage. This being said. Some cars have inertia switches which will activate if the car things you are going to crash. Car won't start until you reset the switch. ** The canopy might not look like it's bent. But if every thing else is vent on the big girl, I guarantee the canopy is also.. I wouldn't bid on it.. I would use the money on a hellcat crete engine.. 😂
Although my bush accident wasn't as bad as this one. it all happens so fast. We were in Kafue National Park, Zambia in the rains. I drive a Mitsubishi triton. We were in the ruts in very wet conditions, going down a slop the car jump the ruts up a small bank and I hit a small tree. Lost the intercooler, air con radiator and buggered the bonnet and the plastic stuff at the front. Unbelievable and that was 20kh. so I emapthise with your team. building experience in bush driving is important and having wel equipped rigs so you can get yourself out of the shit is needed. but 250k write off. Ouch!
Yep, All the experts that have absolutely no idea unfortunately these guys are way out of their depth in most situations and they make yt videos "teaching the masses". He locked the brakes you can see it from the start it was all over from there, braking is not what you do in this situation
As much as crashes at 10kmh make you feel red-faced, it is ultimately better than many alternatives. If he had hit the throttle and hit a tree at 50kmh, with a fully loaded vehicle, the carnage could have been life threatening. That would be the end to All 4 Adventure. Jesse's rollover allowed all the energy to be disappated over a longer period of time. I'm just so happy in that split second, Jesse let the truck do it's thing and didn't fight it.
No Jesse said he didnt lock the breaks on. im thinking the HDC kicked in too much. there is too many safety features in that car. Like jase said, even the seatbelts locked up@@29macvneil29
in wet clay you need to spin the tires to clear them of mud to maintain any control whatsoever. Sure you need to be brave. If you look at the upside down truck, not only are the tyres caked, you can see where the locked wheels have accumulated a wedge of clay as they slid locked up down the hill. Not saying that I would have done any better.
All that matters is that Jesse wasn’t hurt, we all learnt some things about winching and recovering vehicles and that the boys definitely need to release a tshirt “it’ll buff out”
It's been said many time before but I will say it again. Anyone with CREB track knowledge knows if there is the slightest chance of rain. • Don't drive on CREB track. • If you must traverse if for some sort of emergency, Carry Chains. • No chains means stop were you are and sit it out. The track is now closed with a good chance it may never be open again as a through road. Ever since the road ceased to be maintained by the electricity board it has been maintained by local councils and a handful of locals with a few others that have respected the track, like myself. Whilst I love a good 4X4 video here on RU-vid or elsewhere, I get totally peeved at the ones who disrespect the country and the vehicles by thrashing around, hence Unsubscribing from this channel some time back. The reason I am here now is because certain people who also respected the CREB pointed me here. I have been traveling the CREB since late 70's and done it well and truly more than 100 times, I have done in a EH Holden and a Range Rover and everything in between over the years. On many occasions getting stuck because of rain sometimes for many days. To Jase and the many, many other RU-vidrs tearing up tracks all over the country (and their supporters). You are Fluckng it up for the real enthusiast as you not only destroy the tacks, you encourage the authorities to close tracks because of your antics!
I’ve been in two accidents like this. One was on snow, flat ground. The other was ice on a hill. Until you’ve experienced a complete loss of traction/ control you have no clue what its like. When the only two inputs you have brakes and steering, have no effect on the car, it’s like Jason said your a passenger. Glad mine was a 2k hilux and not a 250k rig. Glad everyone was ok, but I think Simon’s “yeah, we’re F*** now”. Is my favorite from the white truck rollover.
Coight has a new workshop at Dingo Piss Creek for all 4x4 repairs. The boys should just trailer the Chevy to R Goight 4x4 and his team can work their magic and get it back back on the road. All's well that ends well. No one was hurt.
I understand everyone put in effort to make that vehicle what is was, but at the end of the day it’s just a car. You built it knowing full well exactly what you guys use it for and things sometimes go good and things go bad. It’s nobody’s fault everyone is safe. Look forward to the next build.
what do you figure the cost of parts and labour to fix the truck ? what do you figure the value of used parts for resale ? did the frame get bent ? the truck is definitely now makes for a good farm truck seeing as it cant go on the road.
Good to see ol Jesse is going all good. I would be freaking out too. Bring him on again. It will buff out like you said. Lucky for Insurance. Keep up the good times brothers. 😅😅
Thanks for explaining and answering questions. You did make Jesse not feel so bad about the accident. Is that a background screen behind Jesse? Awesome green view!!!
Crazy to hear the in depth story. Jesse is a bloody legend. Would've been terrifying stuck in there upside down with airbags blocking the exits and the thought of the ute catching fire!
Looks like theres a wheel track and disturbed dirt on the bank the Chevy rolled up on at 3:09. Looks like another 4by stopped/hit that bank before the Chevy. Did I miss that?
I’m in two minds after watching this. I feel that some of the questions weren’t answered honestly and with a bit of cockiness. Good series and look forward to what’s coming up next
Stop trying to make out you cared about Jessie, you were so focused on the vehicle. You weren’t happy and poor Jessie obviously felt like sh*t. Of course he is gonna back you up in this vid. I hope you learn from this, cars are replaceable but people aren’t. Really disappointed.
thats what pisses me off...so many hero's think they would have made better and more skillful decision in the 2.5 seconds before that thing was out of control
Questions prove Australia is turning into the bubble wrap country. Must remember for next time I do a muddy decent up north to put the snow chains in my custom mud tyres and winch down whilst putting it in reverse 😂
Good recovery. Jessie wasn't hurt. Not sure why the track was open in weather like that. They normally close it because shit like this happens all the time. You guys are trying too hard and taking too many unnecessary risks. You should rebrand the show, "All 4 Views," not Adventure. Preferred it when you and Roddo went out in the Patrol. The show is just too over the top now.
1... remember the camera car already made it. 2. They "let him go first" 3. They went for viral content. 4. They deliberately go for content... So was all planned like many said it was a closed track due to weather 🤔 Maybe the camera men should be the actual people in these videos clearly better drivers
Did it go to auction before the video of you thrashing it down the back paddock was published? $25k isn't bad for that canopy even with some marks, bumps and bruises. How much gear did you strip out of the truck before it went?
The sign at the start of the track warns drivers about the risks of weather conditions !!! What whent wrong started at the sign, can't blame Jesse when use put the heaviest car at the front ?
Having been trained with experience military drivers while I was in the army and looking at your video it is still difficult to make a call on it, one has to be there and be driving the vehicle. In my personnel opinion I would have approached at a slower speed, (low geared) as speed is nothing when it comes to control of the vehicle however when it comes to automatic gear boxes I honestly do not like automatic when going off road, one cannot beat a manual gear box when off roading. Having rolled a vehicle myself I know what that feels like however have never rolled a vehicle while in the military, good training I suppose. The rolling of the chevy does have a positive outcome as no one was hurt, a vehicle can be replaced, a human life cannot be. Maybe invest in some real good rollbars for future adventures, just to be safe. And I must not forget the team work you all put in to get the vehicle up right again. Together Everybody Achieves More. It also amazed me that the chevy still started and most of the electronics still worked. Please keep up the excellent videos All 4 Adventure and stay safe. From a big fan.
Could have been avoided by releasing the brake, the wheels were fully locked with him pressing the brake. Jase you guys need some sets of chains for when it gets ultra greasy like that.
G'day, Got my first 4x4 in 2000, Got a full set of chains before returning to North West QLD, I grew up in North East Vic and we could get a 2 WD Hilux just about anywhere with the aid of chails.
pause the video at 38seconds where its looking out the windscreen and why is there tracks already running up over the bank before this even came down it ?
Hindsight is 2020 looking back on accidents you always think of things you could of done but in the moment there are so many things going on you didn't expect and need to think about in seconds glad no one was hurt and you managed to successfully recover the vehicle
The shot where they we’re running towards the rolled truck looked and sounded like it was a retake If you can’t drive slippery downhills like that do ever come to NZ wheeling Automatics slow down really quickly when yo wack them in reverse and give it a blip (you lock up 4 wheels & shift it into R) It works I’ve done it plenty of times Good thing nobody got hurt👍
Have a look at a potter working clay on the wheel after he dips his fingers in the water, that's what these poor guys work working with. There's no preparing for every situation
