Honestly, everyone is at fault here. Nobody handled things they way they should have. That's the issue here. Nobody stops to talk for even a moment. And by Daniel's own admission, he has a temper. Tory and Sam are equally at fault. Tory definitely has issues she needs help with, and Sam needs to just be up front with people and figure out what the hell she actually wants.

Anyone who says someone is right or that this is all somebody's fault is missing the point that, ultimately, everyone is at fault. Obviously, Sam, Tori, Miguel, and Robbie all royally screwed up (the drunk kiss, announcing the fight over intercom, tackling the guy who was trying to stop the fight, the brass knuckles, and kicking someone over a railing when they were showing you mercy), but then you have Hawk escalating the fight by attacking random kids, Demitri provoking Hawk the day before despite knowing he has self-image issues and a short temper, kids like Chris and Mitch using the fight as an opportunity to beat on who they hate, and even Johnny & Daniel for refusing to hear the other out and continuing their petty rivalry that has now put the lives of their students in jeopardy (as well as Johnny letting Kreese back and spread his toxic teachings & take over the dojo) All the conflicts from this show comes from misunderstandings, people withholding vital information, and people being dumb or petty. And that's the beauty of it (as well as the sick ass fight scenes. That hallway one-shot was actually insane)
I got plenty of shit to say to sam going forward but as far as THIS EPISODE is concerned I think Tory came off as a psycho. She had a whole day to plan how she’d handle this and she chose attempted murder in front of the entire school. It honestly baffles me that she didn’t go to Juvy just like Robby. He hurt a kid really bad but the balcony was at least unintentional, Tory on the other hand meant to mame or kill and I don’t feel like the show acknowledges that as much cause it’s so focused on Miguel’s fall.
She didn't go to juvie bec her mom's sick and she has a little brother to take care of. She is on probation though. Both she and robbie have to check in with a probation officer.
I’m not defending Robby because Miguel is my favorite character but you could tell Robby didn’t mean to kick Miguel over the rail because of his reaction after the fact that it happened

It amazes me that no one realized that Tory was going to kill Sam. If that thing cut off Sam's arm, it could have stabbed her in the neck if Tory had managed to hit Sam.
Why are some fans always ignoring Miguel´s part in this fight? Robby literally had the fight under control and Miguel heard Tory threaten to severely injure Sam over the speakers. Miguel was either insanely dumb in that moment that he fought Robby wanted to start the fight or he just wanted to fight with him. With the knowledge he had he should have been happy that Robby deescelated the fight, seemed like he loves both girls at the same time. Now I love Miguel don't get me wrong, but sometimes he's one of the least smartest characters in the show tbh, that's his main character flaw. And the worst thing people arguing is that Miguel showed him mercy and honor. Wtf guys?? He shouldn´t even have start the fight. He cheated on Tory (regrets it on the spot too) Tory doesn't answer him (even shown to be suspicious) He's talking to Hawk about it He hears Tory over the speaker threatening Sam for what she did (This is the moment Miguel has to realize Tory knows he cheated on her, that's why she didn't answer him) He runs to the scene. Sees Robby holding Tory against the locker with one hand and holding Sam back with the other (very obvious gesture one person makes to separate two others) Then Robby says "Settle down, I am sure we can figure this out" and literally at that moment he attacked him. So yes, Miguel´s behaviour at this school fight should also be a topic and something Johnny has to know. Miguel should face legal consequences, too.
Miguel sees Robbie holding his girlfriend up against the lockers, almost groping her, and it is obvious that a fight has occurred. You would have to be a beta wimp of the highest order NOT to attack the apparent aggressor in that case. Then, when he as a chance to end the fight, he stops, apologizes and walks away, only for the hateful Robbie to use that moment to exact some sort of revenge like a little bitch.

There are a lot of people at fault here, but I respectfully disagree with the title. Tory could have handled her quarrel with Sam and Miguel privately, but by getting the entire school involved she screwed herself and several people including Miguel. Also, you three are lucky. Back in August 2020, I watched seasons 1 and 2 then had to wait four months for the continuation. However, there were many others who first saw it on RU-vid premium and had to wait almost two years. Granted I didn't wait as long as them, but it was just as painful.
I’m very excited to see your guys reactions to seasons 3 and 4. It’s really interesting how the writers can keep the seasons and their climaxes fresh while also echoing each without feeling like it’s spinning its wheels.
Sam, Miguel and Tory were all at fault. That kind of fighting should NEVER been initiated. I don't care how hard your upbringing was. That just WAY ridiculous. There are cool videos showing how they had stunt people flying I and out when someone left the view of the camera they switch. It's really cool.
It’s everyone’s fault In the finale, Sam and Miguel cheated on Tory and Robby, Tory started the fight school brawl and Robby ended the fight with kicking Miguel down onto the railing. And the aftermath effect for every character no matter if it feels kinda wrong, it’s still what all these kids deserve.

Tory is more at fault. Sam made a drunk mistake which everyone forgets that two people were involved in that kiss and I don't remember Miguel telling Tory about the kiss. Tory straight up assaulted Sam over petty high school bullshit
Tori is 100% at fault. She needs to take responsibility for her own actions. She stole the alcohol and as far as I'm concerned, deserves to be considered suspect. She pushed Miguel into a relationship even when she knew he still had feelings for Sam. She may have even done it just to get back at Sam. So she can not be angry at the fact that they kissed. Tori keeps escalating things and making it all about her. Look how toxic she is: She decided to trip Sam just because her BF talked... TALKED to his ex. They never had closure and were attempting to get it. Then BAM she escalated it. All Sam ever does, is get back at Tory for her bullshit.
It's not Sam's fault that Miguel decided to have some random flashback about showing mercy at the end of an intense fight where he knew his opponent was angry and hated him and it's certainly not Sam's fault that Robby (and I say this as his biggest fan) let his anger get the best of him and kick Miguel over the railing. The problem with Sam is that she’s always involved in every altercation either it’s her who starts it or she has involvement in the matter and then others always end up paying the price. She always thinks just saying sorry is enough to fix every situation. Instead of actually changing and and actually growing from her mistakes she just falls back to where she started an just keeps repeating it over an over again that’s my problem with Sam. She’s always crying like she the victim(in this situation obviously she is a victim to attempted murder) now I’m not saying everything is her fault cuz it’s not but she is always at the root of almost every fight/altercation.
Honestly didn’t expect you guys to take Tory’s side on this one as most reaction channels realise Tory has some blame in this. She started the fight, and while I don’t agree with Sam and Miguel cheating, that isn’t cause enough to start a physical fight with her. Yes she didn’t cause Miguel’s accident, Robby did, he is also partially to blame. But at this point Sam was defending herself from Tory and Miguel was trying to protect Tory from Robby. But robby interrupted nd miguel came in but unnecessarily hawk started a riot nd everybody lets out their anger nd gone violent. YEESS!! The epic finale we were waiting on you guys to reach. Now In a lot of ppl's opinion, yes everybody played their part in this disaster, and yes Sam should've told the truth about the kiss. But the brawl was entirely Tory's fault. That whole situation could've been handled differently😟😟
Okay first Daniel showing up and breaking into Johnnys' place looking for his daughter understandable but also hypocritical when Johnny did the same looking for his son when Daniel didn't even give a call. Yeah the fights let's be honest only Hawk really lost and that was because he never saw Dimitri as a real opponent, Robbie lost until Miguel showed mercy, and hitting someone in the head with a book after you were dropped by a kick doesn't mean you have skill it means that was the only way you could get the win. Miguel and Sam weren't over each other, The kiss just brought everything back.
Sam was drunk and clearly had feelings for Miguel still. Her kissing him was wrong, but she shouldn't be blamed for the fight. Tory escalated things starting a fight. Everyone escalated things further by getting into a brawl. Almost all the kids are responsible in some way, but ultimately, Robby is responsible for what happened to Miguel as he had shown him mercy and was trying to end the fight peacefully. Robby let his anger take things too far.

She went ham on Tory (2 knees to the stomach, punch in the face, and then roundhouse kicked her in the head)... Tory probably saw red and then used the brass knuckles. Theres a different between Tory and Sam punching each other tripping kicking each other but she was aiming to spike Samanthas neck . Which would of caused Samantha to die.

Unpopular opinion, I don't think Tory came into this fight trying to kill Sam. I think she only came up with the idea to use her bracelet after Sam provoked her since that's when she started using it, clearly determined to win the fight. It's clear from their (Sam, Tory, and Robby) reactions to Miguel falling that they weren't thinking ahead in where the fight would lead. Not only did it escalate (everyone joining the fight and turning it into a brawl), but it ampped up the adrenaline and anger in the four MCs. They're dishing insults that they wouldn't normally react to or insinuate. They're fighting more aggressively, and their overall not thinking about anything other than winning. It's only after Miguel falls that they all realize the reality of what they were doing and how that impacts them further than just winning a petty brawl. Sam got cut, Tory got thrown down the stairs, Robby could've gotten his arm broken, and Miguel broke his back. Yes, Tory acts a little psycho in the beginning, but she's pissed and wants people to know why she's pissed. She's not supposed to be seen as a murder, just a crazy gf. Which isn't anything new in teen fiction. It's just normally, it's trashing a car or spreading rumors about everyone involved. However, in a karate teen drama, it's this.
This also shows that Daniels teachings didn't compute 100% in Robby. Even after the fight was finished, he went for the Kreese "the fight is over when I say it's over". Nothing of what he did was in line of what Daniel taught him. Sam at least tried to defend herself and at times stop the fight but Robby really wanted to hurt Miguel. I think since he was a teen, his anger was just too great. He was in a good environment but here when he actually was in a real fight, his instincts took over.
In this situation I believe everyone and I mean everyone is at fault. Jonny and Daniel for letting this rivalry get past down to their students/kids. Tory for how she handled the whole situation. Sam for cheating(granted she was super drunk) and for constantly putting others in uncomfortable situations which force them to make actions that just in end up hurting them in the end all to protect her. Miguel for cheating(again almost all of them were under the influence but still) and for not being his usual self in trying to defuse the situation. Very out of his natural character to keep edging a fight. Yes he did the right thing in the end but he was still involved which led it to become a way bigger problem. lastly Robby, he really disappointed me but didn’t at the same time. He did try an diffuse the situation but let his hatred for Miguel and Miguel’s relationship with his dad take over him. completely against what he was being taught the entire time. Everything he was taught just completely went out the window an he let his anger get the best of him which then ended up costing him and Miguel the most in the end all to again protect Sam which goes back to what I said about Sam in the beginning about “how she’s always putting people in uncomfortable situations to pertect her, which end up costing those individuals in the end” but Jonny and Daniel take most of the blame for the simple fact that they are the grownups in this situation and they can’t just grow up and move on from their beef/trauma as kids and letting completely change an affect those who care for them and who those they care for.
miguel kissed sam while she was intoxicated, meaning she literally could not consent to it. i blame robby for kicking miguel, tory for starting the fight, and miguel for cheating. i will forever believe sam is over-hated. tory is insane for trying to kill a girl just cuz her bf doesn't gaf about her.

What?💀 I’m team Sam but she knew what she was doing with Miguel🤣 Literally before the party she was having flashbacks about him & obviously still had feelings for Miguel. After the breakup between them(We all obviously know Miguel still loved Sam) she showed throughout whole season 2 it’s obvious that Sam still loves Miguel. Miguel will always be her number 1 choice & vice versa. So that kiss at the party was coming regardless😂💯 But Tory did say to Miguel “Act like you’re completely over her & that’d make her want you again” & she knew Miguel wasn’t over Sam😂 so she really shouldn’t have even gotten mad. I do think over time, Miguel did develop feelings for Tory too but they weren’t as strong as they were for Sam. I think what happened is that Miguel never really got to deal with all those emotions that were bottled up inside him bc he doesn’t like conflict like that so when he’d started dating Tory he sorta jus Had to suppress those feelings for Sam deep down so he didn’t start trouble not knowing they’d already met or how. Plus you can kinda see Tory somewhat only dated Miguel to get back at Sam, although in s3 u can see she does care a lil about Miguel despite blaming him for everything even tho half of it wasn’t his fault.

Just because you show mercy, doesn't mean you should let your guard down. There's a scene in season one, where Miguel takes Johnny down and thinks he has the upper hand. He immediately gets hit in the ear with a tennis ball. Had he learned that lesson, he would have been ready for Robby. But he didn't, so he paid for it.
Miguel kept talking shit to Robby, making him more mad by saying that Sam doesn't love him, she loves Miguel, like that's the dumbest thing to say, but kicking him over the railing was unnecessary

The fact that he chose to stop mid-fight, expecting Robby to do the same, doesn't make him a victim, it makes him naive. He chose to follow one of Johnny's lessons (sometimes showing mercy), while abandoning one of Johnny's equally if not more important lessons (enemies don't always play by the rules, so be prepared for anything).

Miguel wasn't even ambushed in a dark alley by Robby. He initiated the fight, when he saw Robby trying to restrain Tory and kept egging him on the entire fight. He chose to metaphorically call a time out in the middle of the fight and Robby wasn't having it. Was it a dick move by Robby? Sure, but Miguel should have anticipated it. He should have held his arm and said, "Look, I can break your arm but I'd rather not. I don't want either of us to get seriously hurt. If I let you go. Will you agree not to attack me?" If Robby said yes, and still attacked him. That'd also be a dick move but he should still be ready. Why? "Because the enemy doesn't always play by the rules."

I love this fight, like to me it's still the best fight in this show, the problem was the reasoning behind it was dumb to me, like the whole relationship thing was too much in this show.
Well, they're dumb, hormonal teens. It's not surprising they do stupid things and take things way out of proportion. I do think Miguel & Robbie's rivalry should've been about their relationship with Johnny instead of both being in love with Sam, but that's something that's been established since the 1st season

I resent that because people complained that she didn’t talk. So she opened up more and now gets to read this. Plus there subtitles. I we don’t respond to each other’s commentary all the time of you notice. So depending on what’s going on, we just focus on show. Our videos are meant for commentary. We all have the ability to watch on our own without disturbances, but this is actually very fun to do together
I'm not a huge fan of Sam (anymore) but everyone here is at fault, including Tory. It's Sam's fault for cheating and going after someone, Miguel's fault for kissing her back instead of rejecting Sam's advances, Robby's fault for letting his anger get the better of him after his opponent showed him mercy, and Tory's fault for inciting a fight before talking to either Sam or Miguel. Dimitri did nothing wrong though 🙂
How would yalls school handle this situation. I believe my school if someone kicked someone off a balcony during a fight, they would've immediately got swarmed and beat tf and not allowed to run away.
I have conflic feelings about this ending, on one hand the end was shoking af, on another the kick that demetri did to Hawk was so bullsht that i am still angry by just thinking about it.
I mean, Hawk's weakness was that he's a berserker who doesn't think things through, and Demitri specifically fights by predicting and countering. Couple in how Demetri was a complete joke the last time Hawk saw him fight, and it's not surprising he was put off-guard. Besides, we get to see what their fight on even footing would really look like eventually
Ima just say I blame daniels teaching bc he's an angry hothead who blows a gasket every chance he gets. He preaches push everything down to find that balance. But he never goes further and tells you how to deal/handle when you suppress/push everything down. You just basically just bottle neck it, tighten the noose around it but how pressure works, it's gotta go somewhere. It's gotta get released. And we saw here when not properly managed well disastrous concequences.
