Hi, i was drawn to pile #1. It’s interesting because I’m the one who feels broken and lost and I miss her so much and love her so much. She felt like I didn’t love her and took her for granted but she just didn’t see that I was trying to be emotionally safe for her and to talk about deeper things like her problems or childhood trauma. I could have done things better that’s true, I couldn’t control my anger and her emotional unavailability got to me and she expected me to read her mind. It’s such a shame that it ended I wanted to try and make it work out because I always knew her worth and i love her so much. She just moved on so fast and doesn’t / can’t look back. I drove her away too by trying to make her see with letters and stuff that I do love her. But I just need to let her go! Acceptance is key.. she brought up darkness and abandonment wounds that I have to confront that I never would have otherwise, so I’m thankful for that, but yeah it’s just a shame I can’t even see her anymore (we’re in the same friend group) without just missing her so much and my heart breaking open all over again.

Hi thank you so much for sharing your experience. I am pile 3. I am facing a similar situation, in this situation I seem to be the girl and the boy is my person. However at the end the writing letters is me and the person not responding is my person. I have cried a lot for a few years. It was impacting my life. I have decided to let go and move on. Although I still have feelings for them I don't know if I can accept them as they hurted me. I have been through a lot in life and I want to marry someone who will have compassion, patience to understand and talk to me.
