@@Ladywizard yep the 2 am one. I have trouble falling asleep on Fridays and usually don't realize how late it is until 3 am. I did notice the common ones had like split shifts on Sunday. Reminded me of a retail work schedule.
@@tammypi6877 the red fox is super hard to get,the red fox is the only one I have left to get and my critter list has been saying it’s out for the past 7 to 8 days then a different fox comes out and I only fed it once before that but got pushed out of my game when I was trying to feed it and I haven’t seen it again since. Plus when I started up the game again it wasn’t there. And ironically I got the white crocodile in a day by randomly feeding it twice after I got pushed out of the game with that one also
@@Ladywizard I think the game counts it as Saturday at 2am in the morning because scrooges store doesn’t restock items until like 3am and it’s most likely not Sunday until like 3am in the game
i've seen a couple videos on companions but nobody ever talks about when they're available, i thought it was random, i had no idea some of them were so specific, i'm gonna have to write these days and times down
+Lisa Sowerby:it tells you what times they are available and when they aren’t on the collections list for critters it will either say all day,Not here today or from 6pm to 12 am like the brown Raven is Tuesday’s at 6pm-12 am.

@@AbdallahSmash I play it on my Android phone using an Xbox controller. It is available for cloud play on Xbox Ultimate Game Pass. It also is able to be played using touch controls!
I didn't realize the sunbirds preferred flowers colored like they are. I thought they all like bromeliads. I've definitely learned something from this video!
@Caren Helms:they do like bromeliads the color of the flower doesn’t matter as long as you feed them a flower from where they are roaming ie sunlit plateau flowers
and I love how there are so many different things to collect and work towards. Like you can just focus on befriending all the critters and getting each one as a companion. So there's always something to do and achieve in the game.
Thank you for the video! I just wanted to say a few things the squirrels you can feed them raspberries too and the turtles They love scallops too! If the won’t come to you drop one in from of them and they will pop their head out pick the scallops up then approach them ❤
This is a very useful suggestion. I made Remy a mining companion and I rarely get to use him as he is sleeping when I can mine for profit. I've used him occasionally for quests, but peak play time for me, he and Ursula are sleeping.
The map shows you when characters are asleep plus so does their houses I think ursula and the others only sleep for like 2 to 4 hours or something like that they don’t even give the fishes hours of when the fishes are out
Wish time travelling didn't mess up your game because the only ones I would need to use it is for the black sea turtle and the orchid sunbird since I work 9 - 5 pm M-F Edit: Just found out you can travel back in time with no major game breaking issues once you change it back to the present but if you go past your current time then you'll run into problems.
@Kayla Wolf:it still misses up the game though since some critters schedules are kind off like the red fox and the rare crocodile and the white squirrel I still have the red fox to get since i fed him once then got booted out of the game then I went back in on the same day and he was no longer up there and that’s the only critter I have left to get for the critters from the biomes and they really need to give people multiple chances to get critters that players don’t have because for the past 7 to 8 days after I fed the red fox once my critter list has been saying the red fox will be out then it hasn’t appeared again because it get one of the many other critters I already have
@AngelConfetti:I really want the red fox too have you gotten the red fox yet and if so tell me how you did it because I got pushed out of my game then it disappeared on me when I was trying to feed it I fed it once got pushed out then it was there when I went back into my game and the red fox is the only one I have left to get
@@artsynana5336 mine have been doing that, so I've taken to going near them, stopping and then letting them walk closer to me to start the animation, works so far, hope it helps.
@venny:I still want the red fox it’s the only one I have left to get out of the foxes and all the critters i got pushed out of my game after I fed it:( then it wasn’t there again when I went back in to try again and my game let me get back in for the white crocodile or the rare crocodile and I fed that one twice in one day since my game glitched out on me and somehow counted the first feeding

Thank you so much for this guide! I was able to feed the pink crocodile before she despawns today, I had no idea how to approach them I thought you just had to chase them around. One thing I've noticed is that most of the critters do a different animation if you give them their favorite food. Crocodiles roll around on the ground, the sunbirds fly around the flower given and turtles do a little hop and clap their.. arms?

You get both celestial turtle and regal fox if you get the ultimate..and the Chico crocodile I think? I bought the ultimate a week ago and still got the crocodile
Is anyone else having trouble getting them unlocked certain ones like the orcas sunburn white crocodile classic rabbit black turtle red fox and blue raccoon week after week I come back and I feed them their favorite food mine Jail and they just don’t unlock I fed them five or six times now is there a trick that I don’t know about
I wish I can unlock the ravens! No matter how many times I try, NONE will unlock! I have been giving them their 5-star meals like I was supposed to, but still nothing has happened yet. They are, by far, the most difficult to tame!
Does anyone know if you have to feed the critters a certain amount of times in a row to unlock them? Like do you have to feed them every day that they're available until you unlock them or can you just do it whenever and as long as you do it enough times, you unlock them?
You can only feed the once per day for it to count towards the hidden friendship level . I think it's at least 1-3 times whenever they are available for it to count towards unlocking them.
I know the feeling with my M-F, 7 - 3:30 schedule. However, I have found out that while you can't time travel forward without messing up your game, you CAN travel backwards without any side affects. So all of those 10am -4pm Monday spawns can still be ours! Good luck!
@@galaxytwins2929 that’s because you can time travel you just have to be super careful and not go too far backwards and have to return the exact time and day that you left from your village originally
@@Caeleinn is there a specific date the red fox appears because that’s the only critter I have left to get out of my Critter list because I got pushed out of my game when I tried to feed it when i first saw it and then I haven’t seen it again since
They seemed to be completely random Also, squirells like raspberries (at least more than apples for me... playing on Gamepass), easy to use on them without paying for peanuts
So we have 5 types of squirrels & near limitless types of trash pandas, but 0 cats to befriend? I do hope there's a furry update that purrchance addresses this obvious meowstake?! C'mon Disney, at least give us a nod to the Aristocats!?
I didn't even notice there weren't any dogs or cats. Maybe in a DLC. Disney does have the Aristocats and Lady & the Tramp so we should have insane amounts of animal friends
@@AbdallahSmash As a cat parent, this is clearly a glaring mistake by the game devs. No home is complete without at least 2-3 loyal & loving kittens to curl up on one's lap, after a hard day of carrot & pumpkin harvesting! (...and then to wake you up at 2am so you can hunt the rare critter encounters, after you feed said kittens first of course! )

Anyone else having trouble with the foxes? I’ve run around like a headless chicken playing chase with them and not once have they allowed me to approach 😭 no issues with the bunnies when chasing them..

I can't ever find the calico rabbit, I look all the time. Also never see the white croc or the pink. I've checked every day multiple times a day for months for all of them.

Same with the squirrels. Only the black and red showed. No white. I even thought maybe my system time was off and not accommodating DST but I checked it and it was on. Idk anymore. I’m just gonna not try for them anymore. Not like I’m trying to 100% the game anyway. It’s all for fun
Help!!! I have paid sweet paid quest and the curse quest. The curse quest keeps me from getting the last paper. Ursula just steals the dark shade and won't progress the curse quest.
Does the “approach A” prompt have to show up in order to approach and feed them? Sometimes it doesn’t pop up and so I thought you couldn’t feed them at that time.
Is my game bugged? at 00:24 AM (Saturday to Sunday) every critter vanished from existence except the gray and red squirrel. I exited the game and came back and still only those 2.
Now that the Ravens are in game, would you be able to find out the days/times for them, especially if any are rare? Your video was so helpful because i never would have logged on during the times some of those rares were on, had i not seen this! Thank you!
@Tena Sue:I think the brown Raven is the only one that’s rare according to the game since its out on Tuesday at 6pm to like 12am plus the critter list actually does show the times that the critters in the biomes are out
I've been feeding all the animals frequently but they never become companions... I only have three squirrels and one turtle, I've been feeding the foxes for a week but they're not becoming my companion

I have a couple of questions, not related to the critters but to the game. 1. Do to a glitch in the game I had to travel forward in time not knowing that this would make the game glitch even more, is there a simple solution to this or do I need to start a new game to remove it? I’m on switch. 2. My game keeps closing down in the middle and sometimes I have done so much work without it auto saving, so you have the same problem or who should I contact about it? It started already the first time I played the game. The music is lacking as well. 😊

Struggling with the crocodiles, what is the cool down time between feeding them? I fed them around 4am pst, and it's now 5pm pst and they keep running away from me even when I am not moving or sneaking up on them. It's not giving me the red light green light animation.
Is this the same time per country? Or does it all go by Californians timeline or something? I noticed it becomes a new day, in the middle of the day in Australia.. all the shop stuff refresh and the villager conversations and such refresh then too
I've noticed myself that conversation refreshes around Midnight my local time, but the gift and item refreshes are in the morning times. So I'm thinking conversations are refreshed at date change but items are "day" change. Maybe conversations are 2x changes once for nighttime and once for daytime, but that'll be something I look into later.
how many times do I need to feed the fox for them to be available as a companion? I have fed the black fox the white sturgeon three separate times and still not available

I don't know if my game is bugged or not... But I have every animal in the game in my inventory except 2. The Brown Raven, which I understand, cause they haven't been out for long & he's only available for 6 hours on tuesdays... But I also am missing the Black Rabbit. We have 4 chances a week to feed it, and I have fed it approximately 42 times now. So why can't I have him? Help :( stuck at 43 of 45, but i'm 100% positive that this Tuesday I will be at 44 of 45 cause I will probably obtain the Brown Raven then.
@Sebby Network:the black rabbit has to trust you. The brown raven is possible to get since I have him. I have all the animals but one which is the red fox that I have left to get. And I only fed him once got pushed out of my game and then the red fox wasn’t there when I signed back into game right away and I have no idea how to get the red fox now:(
I'm getting desperete so posting this all over youtube is like my last hope. Is there anyone who knows how to solve error 3 on steam upon trying to start dreamlight valley? So far, re-installing both the game and steam itself is useless, as well as any comapibility settings. Also tried most of the online guides to solve the issue and nothing work. Anyone have any tips at this point?
