I was in high school when they first made waves on the internet - back then everyone was so sure that it was just a fad of the times. 12 years later and look at them now, still killin' it on big stages like this. Life is wild.
People should catch their interview with Sick New World before their performance. Su-Metal clearly has been practicing her English. Momoko i am even more impressed with and Moa while still struggling is making huge progress. The fact Su-Metal even as early as The One. Had performed in English first was really a love letter to their international fans. Su-Metal Quote: Through our concerts and tours, we learned that our music is capable of bringing people together, breaking borders and genres. To symbolize all of that, we decided to sing 'The One' in English. During the recording, it was really hard, but I remember all of our fans abroad. While learning Japanese to sing along with us at our concerts, it gave me the motivation to do my best in this challenge. Nothing fake about that so haters can f*** off. "Su-Metal once said many years ago. “I don’t expect for people to like the same things. So I don’t feel a need to force people to understand who we are. ” “That’s just the way life is!” which Moametal added. “Some people like us and some people don’t! There will always be people who will criticize you. However if you believe in yourself, that will become your strength.” That’s the nice thing about Babymetal’s positive vibes and strong self-confidence here. It makes them pretty much untouchable. Agree 100% with your assessment here. 🤘🦊💕
Same, I'm glad they're still kicking ass after a decade. Most idol groups don't normally last that long in Japan and Korea. That's how you know they really enjoy what they're doing in the metal scene and I'm absolutely here for it.
Their professionalism is a whole other level. From Su requesting her in ear monitor to be turned up, to Moa & Momo dancing in sync in the heat, to the crowd control, they just got it all on lock. Love babymetal 🦊🤘
Super impressive that in the Las Vegas heat, they're able to do all of that dance choreography in their black outfits, and the drummer able to do a song like Road of Resistance as well.
Well this is basically like a pop rock/Nu Metal festival so of course a band like this would go over well. Personally, I dig them and I love pop rock and Nu Metal! 🤘
Let me tell you, i was not a fan at all just seeing them online, bt after Saturday seeing them i was blown away, the guitarist was insane. Im now a fan
first time I saw them was here in Melbourne, Australia, they played to a packed crowd in the middle of the afternoon in 42 c /108 f degree heat and were amazing ...😮😊
Awesome video! I attended both San Francisco shows. Night one I just soaked it all in because it was my first time seeing them live. Night two, I got as close as possible and ended up right next to the stage. I received waves from both Moa and Momo, and it was so fucking amazing!! I love this group, and I really hope they return to the states!
A Japanese fan said they will return to the USA in September. I hope its true. P.S. i was at the first San Francisco date! We got balcony seats cause my friend was scared of the pit but she regretted it cause everyone was sitting down lmao 😂
@@WretchedDrummer I had priority entry and I was so scared of the pit since it was my first concert but I avoided it luckily 😂I was 2nd row from barricade tho so I started getting crushed a little bit from people pushing 😭
@@WretchedDrummer the first night I was in the middle somewhere just soaking in my first Babymetal concert. The second night I was right at the barricade lol. Hearing about them returning in September is fantastic news!! Seeing them in Japan is for sure on my bucket list though!
I am impressed by their professionalism. It's amazing how they can dance and sing so well at the same time, especially in that heat an with that outfit!
Man, this is such a fun band to watch. Their production is on another level, the singers are so entertaining to watch and the rest of the band is so tight and ridiculously talented. And the music has such catchy melodies. I wish I was there to have watched this.
Thanks for posting! My favorite band of the day, had a fucking blast! I wasn't too far away from you, slightly more forward and almost at the GA barrier
@@modifidious Def up there too, top 3 for me were Babymetal, Slipknot, and System. I just had more fun watching them. I've seen both 3 times now and I hope to see them again.
I keep coming back to this band and they are always just leveling up everytime I watch something, performing, entertaining it’s awesome, definetly regretting the time they came to Canada and I didn’t go.
As always - a performance at the level of GOD. Fox God. P.S. Who says that they sing to the soundtrack - clean your ears with a brush and don't be ashamed.
What make this appearance all the more epic came later in the night. When Babymetal appeared on Bring Me The Horizons's stage set for Kingslayer. Making this only the second time Kingslayer has been performed live outside Next_Fest in Japan last year. To think I damn near got crushed to withness this brilliant performance was worth the sacrifice.🤘🦊🔥
Love how you are far enough back to capture the full range of sound and not get distortion like people normally do recording from close to the stage! Thanks for the upload! The ladies as usual were great!!
Okay I have been taking a notice of how much CJ has been throwing down back there! I see you! I know Chris Kelly and Anthony Barone get pretty animated too!
Wow starting the set off with Babymetal death, the first song off their debut album. (edit): I wish I could teleport so I could experience this and many more concerts.
I heard the guy playing before them went over his set time. They might have had to cut a song or two, since they like to be respectful of other artists' time.
Suzuka changed her singing style in some parts of the songs; she seemed to let the notes come out more naturally than usual, but her voice was unstable and cracked many times. I wonder what happened.
@@zackamania63 She also might feel less pressured to be perfect. American crowds, especially in the rock genre, tend to be less critical of performances that sound different live. That's part of the experience of going to a live show. That the performances sound unique, flaws and all, in comparison to the studio version. She's not out there singing to idol fans. She's singing to metal fans. As long as you still sound good, the cracking of the voice isn't going to ruin anyone's fun. It's just part of being at a live show.
Too many factors. Being a festival, they might not have had enough time to do soundcheck or have it at all. Outdoors. The sun will melt anyone, try dancing and singing. I do agree , she was not her usual perfection. But...what a show. Never disappoint.
maybe it had something to do with the open air venue. she's used to theaters with state of the art sound systems and great acoustics. the decibel level there must have been outrageous, and she probably had to strain more to be heard. the dry desert air wasn't helping either,i'm sure.
They Co-Headlinded last October at the Palms with Dethklok & special guest Jason Richardson. They also appeared on Bring Me The Horizon Stage later in the night to perform Kingslayer lol. Yea, whole f*** night was epic despite almost getting crushed in the process in transit. 🤘🦊💕
@@Artem_Ladyzhev Because she's not doing it live and everyone knows it. I don't think she ever has, and I believe they referred to it as a sound effect at one point.
It's not Suzuka that's why. The song came out in 2013 when suzuka was only 16. How does a 26 year old girl, with no heavy metal screaming experience whatsoever scream like that? Answer: it's not her. They would hire someone to do the screaming for them before momo came.
🤣🤣I thought I was the only one. Lmao. I was just searching “sick new world”, looking for some good footage from the show, and stumbled upon this. I’m now 16 minutes in, & still have no clue what tf I’m watching. 😭😭 It’s. Well. It’s something, though…
The intramedelist were amazing but the 3 ladies were muh at best. Spirtbox was on a few sets before them and her vocals were amazing! I enjoyed Spirtbox much more. Lamb of God and New Horizons also had amazing vocals.
Your opinion and given it was one f** performance your basing this on doesn't really hold water here, sorry. Ladies have more then earned their right to be here buddy. This band isn't even their main one as tours with them when traveling overseas but whatever.
