Thinking about getting a Gold Dust Day Gecko as a pet? 🦎🤔 In today's video, you'll find out what you'll all need to take care of one! It may be easier to keep than you might think! 😃
Thank you so much! Pretty straight-forward information and video, so thankful that it was for Gold Dust Day Geckos. Most videos I see for care are with the Giant Day geckos, and I find it pretty hard to learn from just articles.
Ok, any advice on removing a surprise baby from his parent's enclosure. He's been living in there for a few weeks now thankfully, but it is bioactive and extremely hard to reach around in there
It can mean a few different things! Sometimes they'll do it while hunting for food, sometimes it's done while mating or out of excitement, and other times it's used defensively. You'll want to be careful if it's a defensive gesture, as sometimes it comes before they drop their tails!
hi! i’m a current crested gecko owner but im beginning to look into owning gold dust day gecko(s). i’ve seen a lot of conflicting information regarding uvb. some sites say they do, others say they don’t. could i get a clear answer as to whether or not uvb is necessary?
Some people do tend to debate uvb necessities, with geckos especially. We personally encourage it for these guys, a little uvb is good for all animals- better safe than sorry!
Hello! I have a male and female year and a bit old gold dust pair. Im worried about my female as she has large calcium sacs, and I've stopped supplementing her food for a few months with no real change to her cheek pouches. Any advice? She has an arcadia uvb bulb, heat gradient and is fed a diet of pangea/live crickets and worms. If you see this & have any advice, thanks in advance.
Larger calcium sacs are normal, especially in mature females. They'll need those stores for egg laying. We would not stop supplementing personally and wouldn't be worried.
@TyeDyedIguana thank you so much! When I posted in a reptile group on Facebook I got many heated replies telling me I'm horrible for oversupplementing and that it's just as bad as undersupplementing 🥲 many sources like reptifiles didn't really clarify much on it. Thank you, I'll be adding supplements back to her diet. Appreciate your reply greatly! Lots of love from Canada 🇨🇦 ❤️
