besides everything else wrong with this situation, mika cites that her friend ate "the red cheese with the skin". that red outer layer is not cheese. it's wax, and you aren't supposed to eat it either. it's more understandable than thinking a shiny silver layer was part of the cheese, but still.

I think it's rather obvious that the shiny peelable part is aluminium foil? The cheese with the red... Wax? Outside? I only saw that ONCE in a high end grocery store in the middle of Kuala Lumpur. Never anywhere else. Malaysians only recognize sliced cheddar cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, and cream cheese I think because these three cheeses are the most commonly sold pretty much everywhere outside of super-extra-mega-fancy supermarkets situated literally in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. The three and paneer iirc, the Indian-style cheese. That one I have seen in a normal grocery store.
