Me too, when I was little I was hit in my nerve by the needle and ever since then I’m still afraid of them, it’s been over 10 years and I’m starting to get over it slowly but it still takes me a while and I have to have something in my opposite hand to squeeze shield I get the shot

How do you say that nurses some of them to deserve their job and some of them don’t I heard a thing I don’t know the full story but my grandma is in the hospital and she was sick I didn’t get to taste her cooking I didn’t get to go to the park with her I didn’t get to do anything mostly because I was a baby she got sick and had to go to the hospital actually because They couldn’t take her so I have a story so some nerves get my grandma crackers cookies whatever and she can’t have that and some world trying to figure out who gave her the crackers because she’s not allowed to have that but she’s perfectly fine now but what I’m trying to say is some nurses really do not care and the nurse he thinks that needles you’re not supposed to be afraid of them I do think wheels are terrified because you’re literally having something sharp stuck into your arm so I would be terrified in the fact that she yelled at her saying you shouldn’t be afraid of a needle at your age or something like that it made me so angry that I just wanted to go straight up to the nurse who did that and punch her in the face

I had abusive parents while growing up and i had burn marks on my hands and whenever people mention it i get really anxious and once this nurse was joking about it like "did u try cooking?" And i got really anxious and angry and i feel like people dont understand ptsd and how some of us have the most smallest fears but its really big for us
@@zerokiller6394 I’m rlly afraid of spiders and they freak me out people think that it is ok and that it’s fun to joke with me even tho I say I’m terrified of them also I am I little afraid of my brother he use to chase me up the stairs and I had to lock myself in the bathroom and if he got in he would yell at me and hit me and my dad screams a lot so I get scared and I use to have tiny panic attacks were I thought I was dieing so I needed water they went away.last but not least my cheating uncle he cheated on his wife and freaks me out he once made a joke while it was yesterday he said fat people on this side and skinny on this one.
Ok the one about the needles was awful. No bc I’m the same except when I think of needles or just small objects going inside my body I curl up in a ball and start gagging. I had to get my wisdom teeth removed Rex and they couldn’t find my vein for a while and I started freaking tf out and almost passed out from it
The nurse at 5:36 is a horrible person. I personally also suffer with the fear of needles. I hate to admit, I've had experiences as well where the person was judging me and telling me to "grow up" and "be a good example for all the little kids who ARENT upset and scared". I fu**ing hate people like that. Like, What if I have childhood trauma that made me afraid of anything that'll make me bleed (knives, needles, anything super sharp, etc.)? To be clear, I did, so stories like that really trigger me- I completely sympathize with the woman getting her blood drawn. It's fu**ing terrifying. The nurse is a horrible person and should be fired for the way she treated the patient.
I agree. I also used to have a fear of needles (not anymore because of weekly exposure to allergy shots) and a fear of needles is terrifying to deal with, especially because it’s needed for a lot of medical procedures, like blood tests or vaccines. The nurse was awful to say that to someone with a completely understandable fear of needles.
The needle one made me mad. I'm not scared of needles but my sister is terrified. for a good reason too! she has had trauma with doctors giving her shots so she cries and gets scared and has a hard time breathing, she also has asthma so that doesn't help. she's 15 and I'm 13. age doesn't determine what you're scared of. and you don't just "get over" a fear. Some stuff you can forget about, and others last a lifetime.
The nurse one hurts. I have an extreme phobia of needles. Not fear. phobia! It's irrational, it's overwhelming, and it's a disability. It's like saying someone who has anxiety should just grow up and get over it.
Okay so the one with Helen no the mom is nta as she is right Helen is not her daughters responsibility and the daughter is there to have a break interact and do art I get that Helen’s mother was probably worried but then she should have just come personally in case of emergency

The nurse one is bad but I do understand why she was frustrated. I used to be really terrified of needles and I had nurses like herall the time. I did end up feeling a little bad for them though because I was making it really difficult. The nurse should've been a lot nicer and understanding even if she thinks it's silly but I also think she had to deal with that a lot that day and I personally think her snapping is understandable

Yelling at someone for being that upset over needles as a nurse isn’t understandable at all and super entitled and disrespectful. Don’t take a job that involved extracting blood if you can’t handle people who are scared of them.

I hope that nurse gets fired. People have phobia's of needles so it's understandable for them to get anxious, cry, shake, etc. The way you don't show her your supplies is put it out of her vision. Ask her to turn the other way.
The nurse story pissed me off so bad. Not only was she insensitive to the patient's fears/phobias, but she also acted so cruel to that woman and didn't care that she was practically having a break down. I pray to God that she was fired.

I can understand being annoyed when something is preventing you to do you’re job properly but if you’re a nurse, being nice and comforting is part of your job. Definitely the a-hole.

Trust me I've experienced people being afraid of needles, I'm not horrified of them but I do tend to wrap my ankles around the chairs legs and squeeze so I don't feel it but I've never cried, but at the same time my best friend from back in elementary school was horrified of needles and still is. When she got her immunizations she legitmatley ran away and we found her wheezing in tears under a staircase at the other end of the school. Regardless if it's annoying for you, you need to have empathy. Your job as a nurse is to help people, and your actions and the way you spoke to that girl proves you shouldn't have that job.

Ok so the nurse on was absolutely horrid. That is a phobia the patient could've had a panic or anxiety attack due to overwhelming stress in phobia. I get the frustration in the nurse, but that is not the civil way to react in that situation. The nurse is the one who is intitled in this situation. That's my thought.
Yo that nurse one is so mean! No matter how old these people are you can still be afraid of something even if it’s weird! Being scared of needle’s is completely normal and no nurse or whatever should yell at you! Of course some people who have a medical degree arnt afraid of needles and it’s because they’ve been working with it for so long. As much as I understand her POV, WHAT THE ACTUAL FU-. Like, If you have a special needs child I understand that takes alot of work. But you dont get to pawn of your responsibilities to another kid THEIR age. If Maria and Helen were good friends I could understand it, But this mom basiclly assined a kid to be her caregiver without even asking for the Mother or daughters approval. This poor girl had to look after someone she barely knew and the mom had basiclly pay for her to take care of somebody else's kid! If you have a child with disabillities, you can find a special caregiver, go to a special camp or just inform the camp of their specialized needs you don't need to do what this crazy mom did.

Needle storytime: First of all, You are a grown a$$ adult. If you are in a lab you should know people have pobias. Like when you where a kid. Some kids where scared of needles. And the reason is because they are really sharp and hurt. And plus you should never judge. Like someone could have something happend or done with them with needles. Even tho this video is older I felt the need to comment on the nurse story. As a person who has a serious phobia of needles due to anaphylaxis shock at 2 ½, that story personally ticked me off, like sorry but I bet that nurse has some "irrational" fear and if you presented them with it they would have the same reaction regardless of age, to see someone being so insensitive about these things makes me so angry. It isn't entitlement, it's genuine fear
Not all of them. Breast feeding is the mothers choice. People that say its “gross” have to learn that trying to get a mother to stop breastfeeding their kid may be wrong for many reasons

And when he calmly tried to ask why she wouldnt use an alternative she shot to “oh dont worry IM okay!” Like she didn’t understand why he asked, at parks and stuff sure she should be aloud to do that. But if she goes to a wedding and makes the groom/bride uncomfy she should respect its they’re wedding not hers

You dont know if theres really no other way she can feed the baby and breastfeeding is the only way for the baby to get food. 1st story, YTA. Usually babies who are breast fed prefer the real nipple. I've tried bottle feeding a breast fed baby and the baby couldn't figure out the latch.
Okay but there's something called rooms made specifically for this sort of situation and she could've just stepped out, I honestly don't feel comfortable with nudity especially not in public and yes she's feeling her kid... I completely understand the fact that they just wanted to get their job done quicker, but fears and phobias are suffered by people at all ages! Am I the only one who dosent think the guy in the 1st story is the a hole? I mean I understand that a baby has to eat but don't you have to show everything to breastfeed? There are also rooms made for moms who breastfeed, and she could've went to one of those rooms if there was indeed a room or just go somewhere private. It's the dude wedding why shouldn't he be allowed to not want to see his sister breastfeed in a very public setting. It's not hard to just take a moment to step out and come back inside

for the first story I think OP has the right to ask his sister to at less bottles feed because it's his wedding and has the right to make a request . of course, they should have talked about it before and maybe make arrangements.
Alot of the time breast fed baby's don't want a bottle and are not soothed by it. Besides she needs to constantly empty them to feel comfortable stop shaming moms smh.

The nurse is so disrespectful. I’m a 14 year old, and this has also happened to me. I can understand it can get frustrating, but if they’re scared you can’t change it. She needs to learn how to respect peoples fears
About the phlebotomist, I do think she could have handled that better, but the woman really did need to grow up. This is certainly not excusing the fact that the nurse should have kept things professional in that interaction.
