I disagree. Majority went purely for the women they love while both were still managing. Almost all I know today are beautifully doing well and that sacrifice they put up together has been a strong bond to their love. Though money is very important in marriage but it should not be the emphasis. Let's work hard though.
waga G, let me tell you, ladies who always said a man must have something doing, should be specific, nobody who loves a jobless person, nobody who want to be jobless, everyone wants to survive. a lady who want money must be treated as a worker, you can't be greedy , you can't eat your cake and have it. love has it special root to win a man's heart without money emotive and still help get the same money which the lady is crying for. it is not a must to have something before getting married, most times marriage is about understanding agreement between two people. Money first = 80% disappointment and divorce in marriage. Love him or her first with respect, contribute to his or her life to bring the best out in him or her to shine, all fingers aren't equal.

Our igbo people are using western lifestyle which they are not created with in real life in igbo biafra tribe land when a man make money he spends it on his wife family without thinking if the wife make money or not the same thing goes to the wife but today we igbo are number one copy of every thing is not ours yet those things are not working for us, in igbo biafra tribe land a lady or woman first seek what the men is doing to take care of himself before marriage and when the lady or woman find out he has something great doing than the lady first bring in like before love and is that love will cover everything , but the problem our igbo people have is their don't know the difference between like and love is like will open doors for love
