i wanted to ask about google chrome history on another device, if i got a new laptop and i logged into my chrome account and went to history and clicked on tabs from another device, would i see every single tab i was on when i had that former laptop?.

What's the difference between pinning a tab I always like to have open in chrome and setting to open on start up? Is this just 2 ways of doing the same thing?
Mostly the same. When you pin a tab you get a smaller tab footprint vs. when you open tabs on startup they appear as standard tabs. They both accomplish the same thing, so it really comes down to how you prefer visualizing the tab.

Great tutorial as usual. Thanks! The tab groups I tried do not survive closing chrome down even after I changed the start up tabs to include the groups. Did I miss something?
What if I mis-type a url and get sent to the wrong website? If I want to re-type just 1 letter in the url I still have to re-type the entire url because Chrome deletes the entire url as soon as I tap into the url field. It really should just highlight the url instead of deleting it.
Groups never worked out for me. If you have 10-15 groups they take up way too much space. Chrome really needs a good solution to have groups of tabs and easily switch between them.
A lot of these features are a response to the innovative work being done by the Microsoft Edge team, who are actually improving the chromium web browser.

I did all my groups last night then went to settings and clicked on Open current pages to re-open today and it did open all the tabs but all the groups I'd set up were gone? Do I have to save the group settings somewhere?

Thank you very much for responding. I used Video Editor on Window 10 to edit my video. I was able to add music to different videos (they came out good) but not for time lapse.
Regarding groups. Is there a way to default those groups so when I open Chrome, the previously created groups are already created and ready to go? I'm having a heck of a time getting a straight answer about this. Thank you and I love your content.

Tab Groups DOES NOT WORK! I created a group ok. Closed Chrome and reopened Chrome. → I do not see the group. → I tab groups, but when I restarted Chrome, the group was lost. I did search for tab groups and enabled it (which you did not explain) and redid the group creation. On reloading Chrome the group was lost. I like you videos, but I feel you need to be more careful. Meanwhile, please advise.
If i open same website on two tabs of Google for example tab 'A' and tab 'B'. If I search 123 on tab 'A', then, is it possible the automatic search of 123 on tab 'B'.

ZERO info online to an insanely annoying new chrome desktop feature where everytime I search, google auto scrolls down to the new feature that is a pop up that says "Show more like this" beside the 3 dot "about this result" Beta thing beside each search. kevin, ur vids are great but champ u need to draw breath every now and then. you'll blackout from lack of oxygen, added benefit is it forces you to speak slower...which is easier for us to listen to and follow
No way!!! lol I just realized that I was able to install a couple of web pages as apps, somehow last night.... I guess I really did do it! hahaha I thought they were actually apps all of the sudden and I got all excited, but I had an inclination that something was a bit off, like there was no way the sites I did it to by accident actually turned into apps.

When I click on new tab within google I have several shortcuts installed. I noticed within your shortcuts there is a add shortcut icon, mine is missing. I have no idea without the add shortcut icon how to add shortcuts. Any suggestions?
Hey Kevin great video. I find it interesting that you have done a video on Chrome but not yet done the same for new Edge browser. I changed to Edge for 1 reason only, the “Read Aloud” feature which Chrome does not have. So if you could do a comparison between Edge and Chrome as well as a tips and tricks for Edge, that would be great.
Sometimes i use my laptop to sign in with chrome saved passwords.. but sometimes when using my phone on the same site chrome doesn't have it saved like i do on my laptop for me from my phone when I need to sign in to... Is this a thing that i don't know of yet it can do?
