I know that the designer was inspired by her purple dress but looking at this outfit I actually see her mermaid form. The dress is purple like her sea shells and it has similar shape. Also the shoes are green and covered with scales like her mermaid tail. She is lovely

I cant wait for her to arrive! I have been a huge fan of the whole series... I know its been risky for the most part as the Artists have had freedom to create their own version in their own way which in my opinion is fantastic because as a doll collector and Disney Lover I have been waiting since forever for new edgy redesigns.... I love the classic iconic ones too and they are there for us to appreciate and collect from classic, to designer fairytale to 90s releases but if we only get slight variations over and over it gets pretty BORING, so I hope they keep releasing new cutting edge collections to keep it all fresh! I like the dye job. I think they were going for watercolor painting instead of ombre.

She is beautiful, but Seeing them side by side, I kind of like the first one more.

Hmmm I love this Ariel and I definitely see some resemblance to the purple dress from the end of the first movie; however, I also see some elements from the purple dress Ariel wears during the second movie, right before Melodie’s party. Beautiful doll and great review!

My favorite princess is Ariel as well, and I do like this designer one more than the first one. I do agree with you on the flower, but only because I feel it's too big, so it looks a little disproportionate. However, I have the 2019 Ariel, my favorite Ariel, and I love the purple flowered her hair and think it's the perfect size for her head. Great review as usual😊

I didn't know about this one until about 2 weeks ago so I was surprised to see it was still available. It arrived a few days ago and she's beautiful.

I think the blue paint is there because it is imitating water. In the box we have this illusion that her dress is put into the water.

To me there was only a few that were really good in this line. Majority of them were horrible. IMO!! I love Jasmine, Mulan was incredible, I did like Cinderella but she kind of gave me step mother vibes, THE 2ND TIANA HANDS DOWN MY FAVORITE ONE OUT OF THIS SERIES, and then of course this Ariel I love. I mean. Its Ariel. Lol!! I hope there are more "17 dolls next year instead of the standard size dolls. I hope they go back to the old boxes or go back to the Acrylic case. I hope they find better designers. I hope we just get a whole different concept in general. That's my hopes for next year..

Although I’m a big critic of these dolls I will say when I got my second Ariel I saw the dye job as an interpretation of Ariel’s dress coming out of the water as wet 🌊

I gave in and brought her and I am so happy I did after watching this review. I love everything about her EXCEPT the shoes. Those shoes do not go with the outfit at all. I am probably going to take the shoes off since she's bare foot in that scene anyway but besides that absolutely love. Such a step up from the last Ariel. I know people dislike her but me personally LOVE!!!!

I actually like the choice of purple in her hair. It is her signature color & it compliments the look well. The flower is reminiscent of the one she puts in her hair in the movie, but it needs moved down more, like behind her ear. At first I was put off by this doll because i felt it did not look like a designer doll, but after this review i am happy I ordered her. Also i feel like disney will completely change the way ariel dolls look in the future lines so I wanted one last one with an old sculpt

I thought we were done with Mullet Skirts. Leave that trend back in 2015 please.

Well, I like her, but I don’t love her. Which has been my recurring thoughts with all of them with the exception of jasmine. I’m glad to see this series end tbh. I’m ready to see something different and have them move on

I love her. She’s beautiful. The first doll was… reeeaaaally bad. The face looked nothing like Ariel. The baby hairs looked so ugly. The wings on her head? What?? This doll is gorgeous. Edit: oof!! Just saw the dye job! I still love her but that is actually really bad

Maybe the dye is supposed to be like that to make it look kinda like water waves? Also, I still dont get that people think that the dress at the end is purple, its clearly silver.

She’s gorgeous but I still love the 30th anniversary one from 2019. Plus I’m not a fan of the side glancing eyes
