At first, Bizmuth seems like a viable option, but Bizmuth acts like a mirror and thus reflects the flux back to the on-coming magnet. Thus creating a like pole effect, making the sticky spot even stickier. Stay tuned for updates coming in a few months. Cheers!

I'm referring to the basic 4 stroke combustion engine. The starter on which is an electric motor driven by a 12 volt battery, but once the engine gets running, the batter gets recharged. But there is a high BTU fuel powering the entire thing, and that fuel must continually be supplied to keep it running. There is already a 47KH Magnetic motor running in Germany that requires no fuel. They are studying it for its thermal dynamics. Which is pretty important, since the magnets die at 380C.

Well done James, try to do it just one Stator and try to use a better bigger flywheel with very little friction... You need to get it to work with just ONE Stator first. If you add more Stators the magnet fields will superimpose and weaken eachself and it will not work... We have tested simular designs already many years ago... If your one Stator gate works it will spin a big very low friction flywheel and it will accelerate until the friction will compensate the acceleration. Regards, Stefan.

TrueBlogger, The pendulum engine comprises of an engine block body with a head, a shaft with at least one blade, combustion chambers. The shape of the combustion chambers which is determined by the shape of the blade, and the depth of the chamber determines the range of the angular movement which is made by the blade during work. The blade which is fixed to the pendulum engine shaft on both its sides plays the role which is adequate to a piston role in a piston combustion engine.

Thanks James, if you think about it another way, you are using the same technique or principle as NASA uses to accelerate their space crafts using the planets gravitational attaraction, same way you are using the magents pull attraction and by having a modified field of your stator at the rear end the reverse pull back is cancelled so your rotor manages to continue to spin, V. good! I hope you sucseed in your experiment, one day i hope to do the same.

There is already a 47KW Magnetic Motor generator running in Germany powering a multi-story building that they are studying the thermal dynamics on right now. These magnets will completely loose their magnetism the instant they reach 380 degrees C. But this motor doesn't seem to generate much heat which I find somewhat puzzling.

Hi Stefan, Five stars on your astute comment. Once I have time again, I will be getting away from the bike wheel at some point and use a smaller, lighter wheel made of plastic. Yes my Stator gate works EXACTLY the way I claim, as seen in my videos. I'm stunned, flabbergasted, dumbfounded that most who watch my videos can't see the amazing physics behind the stator. After you watch three or four of my videos, it's easy to see that something wonderful is going on here. Stay tuned. Cheers!

Having the setup at the slightest of angles would result in the same result. If the flux difference is really there you should be able to give it a swing and keep it rolling for about a day. Also you should give it a tiny push in the other direction so we can see it slowing down equally quickly.

You pull in strong with attraction then do as you say keep attracting, then the virtual opposite pole appears in between the magnets and it pushes off as the next magnet comes around to pull in. I believe the spacing of your magnets is so important because if not spaced just right the repel pole is not of ample strength and magnetic width to couple with the stator. This is just my opinion but either way great job and thanks for caring enough to do the sharing.

Hello James, This maybe a dumb question to ask but,if I may, As a magnet has a grab"magnet side" & a push side (as +/-) Are you using the magnet side or the push side?Also,from your other video talking about adding example two more Stators to make the wheel go completely around.What about adding a counter weight to help get it the rest of the way around?I know nothing about slators I'm just a basic shade tree motor head so to speak.I like what yr doing!Fantasic and free spin it can be for sure

A couple weeks ago I checked to see how well my info has spread on the web. I found almost a hundred thousand references about my research. So if something "mysteriously" happens to me, all the info anyone needs is already out there nearly a hundred thousand times over. Thus, it's to late to shoot the messenger as the genie is long since out of the bottle.

At the stage shown in the video, adding additional groupings of magnets makes the wheel considerably heavier. Rather you add three more Roney Stators. Each stator needs to be positioned at the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock locations. I've have used three stators and the rotor magnets powered through all of them just fine. My project suddenly became derailed and thus I need to finish my research come next January/February of 2014. Your right, with some forward motion the stators work extremely well.

Well said. My piece of the puzzle is my stator. Have at it and build my stator and you'll be blown away how well it works. Some I suspect might be hired to post dis-information to dumb-down those who might otherwise chase this, realize it truly does work, and then implement it into society. The rest is history. Bigger than the light bulb and combustion engine combined. Wish I had free time to work on it. But I work 80 hours, 7 days a week.

Yes you're exactly right. Angle is everything, thus I have long since overcome the sticky spot. My stator mimics a hypothetical mono-pole, and that alone is half the battle and the hallmark of my stator design.

Great work James and you are doing some interesting experimental work here. We do need to overcome the "magic inch" problem to get the wheel spinning through the action of the magnetic forces alone. Looking at the experimental work others are doing I think this *might* be possible with the use of some new materials such as Mu-Metal which has far higher shielding properties than any natural elements. I have discussed this phenomenon with a number of professional material scientists and Mu-Metal consistently comes out of these conversations as the best candidate material to create the "gaps" needed to overcome the "magic inch". One of the interesting properties of Mu-Metal is that it absorbs magnetic fields and channels it along perfectly straight parallel lines within its crystalline structure. I have not worked out how this field energy could be recovered and recycled into the total system but someone much smarter than me will know how to do that already! In any case, a system incorporating Mu-metal shielding will need some clever mechanical design to create the isolated domains you need while the wheel is in motion but *without* increasing friction which will of course "steal" energy from the torque/momentum. That reality sort of kills off my initial idea of a number of flaps/gates on very low friction bearings that flip back and forth during rotation, however, another approach suggested to me is to think about some sort of "wave pattern" shielding that sits above the main wheel and rotates in the same direction but slightly out of phase (+/- a few degrees) to set-up the magnetic domains dynamically as part of the total system. Quite a lot calculus and geometry required to get that arrangement correct but probably worth it? A further observation would be that nature has never produced a material that creates a negative refraction index yet those now exist as man-made materials based on geometric patterns and are enabling huge advances in optical technology. So, while I agree with the naysayers that you can't do something simple to defy the laws of physics using traditional materials, it is very probable that the specific issues encountered in the development of magnetic motors can be overcome through a combination of good maths and physics and thorough, structured experimental work such as the work you and others are carrying out. Also, to say that the properties of magnetic fields created from individual magnetics that are made by forcing together "like" poles are very peculiar and have some interesting physical properties that could be at least part of the answer. It might be worth looking at an arrangement in which the stator magnets are all N-S-S-N and the rotor magnets are all S-N-N-S. Apologies if you have been through all of that already. In closing to say thanks for all your efforts and for sharing your work with others. Science & engineering are just brilliant for creating global communities of interest and how great is it that we are all excited about and contributing to these ideas. Andy

Hi Andy, Thank you for such a detailed, constructive response. As far as overcoming that "magic inch" also known as the infamous sticky spot” I’m proud to report to you that I have absolutely, unequivocally overcome the sticky spot via my stator. My stator sets up an imbalance in the system, approximately 70/30, which is more than enough to do the job. With extensive research and development, I know exactly how I can squeeze more out. As for Mu-metal you have been misled. At first Mu-metal may seem like it absorbs magnetic flux, but in actuality it doesn’t, sadly it reflects the flux back with the same equal force. This means when you use it as a shield, it sets up a like opposing counter force, thus you always end of with the equivalence of two of the same poles. So as the rotor magnet approaches the stator, the Mu-metal acts as a brake and brings the rotor magnets to a sudden stop. I’ve actually found a way where you can actually neutralize the flux via a very tricky shielding technique which takes shielding to a whole new level. This is achieved when you place two powerful like poles within an inch of each other and then mount a 16th inch plate of steel dead center between the two like poles, the repulsion between the two like poles becomes nullified by attraction to the steel plate. These distances must be exact or it does not work. Once the rotor magnet reaches the end of the steel plate, the thinking is, that when the two like poles see each other again, that since to the point where the two like poles resume seeing/effecting each other, the stator and rotor magnets will be at a slight angle to each other, thus cause the rotor magnet to abruptly kick out and away from the stator in a thrusting motion. This is not theory; I have actually tested this, but only on a linear plane. Can this same approach be used in a circular fashion? I say, absolutely yes. Mu-metal has its place and can be extremely helpful when looking for that illusive magic bullet. If I'm meant to use it, I'll know exactly when and where to use Mu-metal. And yes, I have looked into having an arrangement in which the stator magnets are all N-S-S-N and the rotor magnets are all S-N-N-S, but bailed on it once I realized what needed to be done. A little known part about me is that my work is not based upon on trial and error; rather I somehow ‘just know’ what I need to do, whereas with trial and error may never produce useful fruit. For reasons unbeknown to me, mechanical reasoning is not a challenge, it’s an adventure. I see highly complex blueprints in my mind’s eye and can easily focus on them or move what I see to paper. Whether its skyscrapers, to colossal bridges, elaborate buildings to complex machinery or something as simple as building a magnetically driven motor; whatever I decide to focus on, I usually see/perceive the answer the instant the question arrives to me. But I must be a 100% clear on the question first. To me, this is 100% normal, but I know better, as that is not the norm for most others. So, if it’s truly possible to build a working magnet motor, than I’m confident I can get one to work. Thus the confidant manner in which I present my work. Those with exceptional smarts can see I’m onto something. In fact there are two such people who have used my stator with complete success as it performs exactly as I claim it does. Just make four of my stators and place them at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock positions, with the tight row of rotor magnets never covering more than 1/4th of the wheel, and then watch what others say should not work. I had a different model working in its early stages, but quickly took it apart to make a bigger working model. I posted two videos of it about four years ago, but RU-vid took it down just over 72 hours later, stating my video violated Google's Community Guidelines. I put them right back up and within 24 hours my channel was deleted. This is my third channel, and SOooo far it has not been taken down. YET. Now I have a website devoted to my info that gets around Google's Community Guidelines. FreeMagneticEnergy.info When I was 19 I figured out what ball lightning was, and instantly knew what I needed to do to recreate ball lightning at will. Less than a hundred dollars in parts and a couple of ole fashion metal coat hangers reconfigured just right, not only was I able to make balls of light, but I had hundreds of them clinging to the upper most part of the hair on my left arm. Using my right pointer finger, I was able to have a little fun flinging those tiny little balls of greenish blue light off of my left arm back towards my ball lightning generator. Since then I realized how to make what most likely is the best static/balling lightning generator ever made to date. The reason for the new revolution in static generators beyond Wimshurst and Van Der Graaf was I needed a machine that could virtually recharge large static capacitors in an instant. But I digress. I’m not sure how material that creates a negative refraction index arranged in periodic patterns could be of help here. However, the idea of using metamaterials is interesting, as it has a broad field of possible applications. IE: shielding structures from earthquakes, aerospace applications, sensor detection and infrastructure monitoring, especially high-frequency battlefield communication and lenses for high-gain antennas, to name a few. BTW: We don’t want to use flaps as flaps induce vibration and ball bearings ware out and get hot at high speed. The fewer moving parts the better. My design only has one moving part that incorporates magnetic suspension, thus replacing outdated ball bearing technology. So, some time ago I was forced to walk away from my research and I will return to it for good starting May 1st, 2014. I hope this addresses most of your questions. Once I place a gap back in, than it starts to run once again. I’m now working on a new build. Thanks for sharing your your idea though. Sadly, been there, done that, never worked.

Try this... Place the magnets asymmetrically space around the wheel… but use this geometry about the whole wheel without gaps. E.g. decrease (or increase) the distance between the magnets (ever so little) around the circumference of the wheel in the direction of travel about 360degs… let’s see if this configuration under motion last longer. I fear it will still not work but will rotate longer.

Question, how long do you think will it run before the magnet depletes? Can you tap the energy of the spinning wheel to create an energy source to recharge the magnets? Impressive!

IIn laymen’s terms… In the beginning of your experiment you start the wheel at the highest state of potential energy. It easily passes to the second revolution (but not as fast) & maybe to a third revolution…losing energy every time. Like a rollercoaster at the top of the hill, the coaster easily accelerates to the second smaller hill (then decelerates) & then accelerates as it passes over the second hill… and so on to the third hill, but the coaster eventually stops. Not zero point.

It is 26 inches in diameter. He said it moved about 20 inches in circumference, which for a 26 diameter wheel means that it moved about a quarter of a turn. Which it did.

You know there's a working continuous working magnet motor in a style like this in an engineering museum in Austria. I stood there for hours trying to work it out. As far as i could see it looked like a combination of magnetics & electrostatics. Somehow it worked. Getting back to this concept, I can't see why it won't work, remembering that the field on 1 side is mostly cancelled but the other magnets do try to pull too the metal shielding too. Anyhow I hope you can make use of it.

Thanks. This problem has long since been solved. I was near broke and ran out of magnets when I made this video. I would not have money for this project for a very long time, along with other personal issues that derailed me. RU-vid took down 17 more of my videos as well. Hopefully you see my answer all these years later. So guess what??? Turns out we've had the German magnet car motors for since 1966. Google it. Now others are creating their own magnet motor that truly work. Using only magnets to create continuous motion which has long since been solved, and easily replicated by others. Question.....How/what did you use to create an EMF insulator? You said the right hand side of the stator magnet had zero flux. I know we haven't found an effective flux insulator/shield yet, so is this simply dampened by ferromagnetic material and/or further reduced flux interaction with rotor mags due to increased distance/further proximity?

In many youtube clips various people are doing all kinds of magnetic motors, and they all appear to find a sticky point, so I am suggesting why not use electro magnet to give a little push just when it is required around a sticky point so that the wheel or rotor continues to go past the sticky point, so in other words put some energy in (electrical) and get out much larger energy through magnets, I am not for one minute suggesting that you create more enrgy out of little, I know that it is against the laws of thermodynamics, so yse if you need to spend 10% of energy to get say even 20% then why not, it is a gain.

I believe it if you show that the wheel is waterleveled...I will believe it because I made movement with magnets also ...without putting in energy myself. A very strange behaviour of neodymium is that if you put equal poles face to face they will repulse eachother away, however... if you put in the center of those magnets a plate or peace of iron, they wuill be atracted to it until they get very close to eachother and actually the neodymium magnets will be searching ( feels like floating) for a place where they can get face to face and repulse eachother again. So imagin two wheels with in the center a plate or iron object, so the magnets will atract eachother you get movement. The plate is placed so that when two magnets facing eachother are at their closest to eachother, thats where the plate ends so the magnets will repulse eachother..... if you have the 2 wheelsentirely rounded with magnets repulsing eachother and only a small area where they atract eachother, you get movement. Only 1 little push (depending on the strength of the magnets) would keep it moving..... try it and you will like it... Sorry for my bad english...

When I place three stators in a row (back to back) it suddenly picks up considerable speed that is far more then what is canceled out when the last magnet passes through. I've found this process repeats itself when the lead rotor magnets pass across the next set of stators. Rather than depute my findings, man up and build it yourself, than you will see for yourself that it works exactly as I claim. I work 80 + work weeks, so I have no time to build a final working prototype until early 2014.

Let me ask you this Mr.After you get the bike wheel spinning what's your plans to do with it?Don't look like it has much torque to power anything.Would this system work better using a magnet ball instead of a bike wheel.As example drill a hole & install a shaft into a balanced bowling ball & epoxy magnets to the ball.The weight of the bowling ball will give better torque for more ideas.

your stator actually gave me an idea probably about 2 weeks ago now. I did a little research and found out that you cannot completely get rid of magnetic flux but you can diminish it by rerouting it or absorbing it through another metal that has a high absorption rate. I have a couple of designs that I'm hoping will be complete by this saturday or sunday and they also incorporate in some way your idea of absorbing the flux with another metal if I have any success I will let you know

You're making a difficult to make thing, but it's not what you think it is. I's a perpetual motion device, but it does not produce energy. For kinetic energy to work, you must put in more energy then you get out. For instance, cranking the handle of a manual crank. You crank that wheel several seconds, you'll feel it isn't on a ball bearing. You had to put in a lot of energy to produce a very small amount of energy. The bigger wheel you have, the bigger energy you need it to produce. Why is this important? Because the monopole method of producing energy only produces enough energy to keep itself spinning. Yes a monopole is amazing and able to keep perpetual motion, no it will not create additional energy beyond the kinetic energy required to keep itself moving. If you hook up a crank for any amount of kinetic energy, the force required to produce energy will come out of the kinetic energy required to spin, and it will slow to a stop as a result.

The stator is basically a "pot magnet" which goes back over a hundred years ago. Placing magnets on a wheel goes back at least a hundred and fifty years ago. The configuration you see has been fooled around with since the days of Tesla. This all took place long before you and I were born. I didn't steal anyone's idea. To do so, I would have to have prior knowledge of your work as my father was fooling around with this exact same idea back in the 1940s, but he never was able to get it to work.

You are doing a previous experiment of mine ...later versions of my attempts used partially shielded neo or rare earth magnets i found the need to change angles spacing shielding and proximity to the opposing field to make any amount of force still many flaws

What it the stator was set up so one side of the stator was attractive or positive and the other was the repellent or negative force of the magnet? Would that not cause the wheel to move faster and then you could have the generator in the middle of the wheel?

Looking good so far. The wheel looks like it needs better support though as it looked like it may have a wobble. This could lead to false positives on your testing. I like what I see so far though keep up the good work.

I've been watching your videos since the beginning, James. Excellent work. I think it will lead to something good, after the critics have blown themselves out. Your stator setup at the end of Paul Sprain's spiral array motor might work well and eliminate the need for a coil.

James, I know this is in attraction mode and I believe what is happening is as you say however I also think there is repulsion. Reason being, whenever you put two magnets of same pole such as on the rim close together but not touching, the opposite pole appears in between the magnets. If too close it wont show, if too far apart it wont show but if you put it the same spacing as the size of the magnet it shows up, a virtual pole. I believe this is a yin yang affect you pull in with and push off.

I am not calling it bull shit at all. I seen successful Magnetic motors just only powered by magnets and only magnets and hooked to a power generator that you wind and it was generating a ever climbing amount of electricity till it reached terminal velocity which is all that the Magnets and Stators could ever put out. I feel for you and what's ahead in your experimentation. And if I may say, that if one does not have a clear understanding of the challenge ahead, then one has no clear idea where to begin, and thus aimlessly plays around with magnets without a clear objective to spearhead the project in the heart of the matter. I have had simular thoughts of making a mag motor w/just magnets (rare earth or neo mags) but my biggest question about this type of motor is how much torque would this type of motor have? Can it turn a generator? My design uses mags on moveable shutters (in a wheel fasion) to a stator bed of magnets using the pull/push that you are demonstraiting in your video only the the wheel would move up and down (closer and farther) from a flat bed of stator mags and tilting the pulling wheel mags would be able to be brought closer to the bed mags and tilted for maxium rpm's and hence drive a generator. Seems workable.

I replied to this a while ago and now its no where to be found. Here's my reply again. Flaps will introduce vibration into the system, so that's a big no no. This video only demonstrates the stator. But not just any ole stator, rather a stator that has overcome the infamous sticky spot, free and clear. FYI: This is epic. This stator design offers enormous torque in a working prototype. Four years ago my work began on a radical new design in stator construction. The challenge was to build a stator that would make magnet motor possible by creating forward motion that's greater than its counter reaction/drag, and do this in the most forward way possible. A new generation of stators that provides an extremely powerful argument to what's possible. The New Stator Pro2 is designed to mimic a hypothetical mono-pole magnet. This is the backbone and the hallmark of the Stator Pro2, creating far more acceleration then there is deceleration from reverse drag; an epic achievement in the evolution of stators. The Stator Pro2 incorporates a magnetic runway plate in its design face. The special angle of the stator's magnetic runway plate is paramount in relationship to the performance of the rotor magnets, further reducing reverse-drag from the last rotor magnet leaving the Stator Pro2. (Think of each rotor magnet as an airplane, and as each plane reaches the end of the stator's magnetic runway plate, just like an airplane, each rotor magnet pulls up and away from the end of the run way. I'm sorry but there IS a big problem with you putting your hand on it. It masks what is really going on: You only have a few magnets which causes a weight imbalance in one part of the wheel. The axel of the wheel will not be perfectly vertical on your rig. Therefore the heaviest part of the wheel (where you strapped the magnets) will seek the lowest point, or it would do except you put your hand on it to stop it after it overshoots. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you aren't doing this deliberately. What you have actually invented is the pendulum, although I have to break it to you that someone got there before you. The pendulum effect can be caused by magnets, however in this case a force called gravity appears to be the main operating force on your equipment, although your magnets will add complexity to the resulting oscillations. Both pendulum and gravity have mature Wikipedia pages if you wish to research either of them. If this worked (which of course it will never do) then, if you spin it gently to do one full rotation, the magnets will take over and it will speed up on each subsequent turn. When you actually try that at the end it is easy to see that it slows down on each subsequent turn, except that you conveniently stop filming just as it was going to enter the oscillating pendulum stage. Also, try again with the stator reversed, because according to your theory it would be much much less efficient that way and would more rapidly come to a halt, but I believe you will not be able to measure any difference. Nice pendulum. Keep at it because it doesn't look like you can hurt yourself with this hobby and it looks like you're having fun :-)

If what you are saying is true… each time the wheel revolved it would accelerate faster than the first time the magnets passed the stator. I don’t see this in your experiment.

Hi James, If you start the lead magnet at the corner of the James Roney Stator (as you showed) the magnets are pulled through and travel for 20"+- why would you not then just add another grouping of magnets that will then start at the corner of the same James Roney Stator and repeat the process. Start the new grouping at something like 15" so it still has some rotation to help it start through the magnets again (although it shouldn't need help)

I am wondering can you exploit the other pole of the stator which you have brought to half-strength flux in order to gain repulsive power. Am I correct that all of the magnets on the wheel have the same pole oriented outwards? I was thinking is it possible to insulate only the middle of the stator in order to distribute the flux so that it pulls from one side, pushes from the other by repulsion and obstructs least the motion in the middle.

I will try once. After some similar experiments I have just given up and together with a friend of mine built an electro\magnetic motor and 1.7kg with 2blade propeller won out of it. At least this worked just fine. One more thing. Metal rotor is not the best choice because of edy current.

Hi James I love the work you have done. I do not know that much about magnets but I find this very interesting. I have a question about the stator. Could you turn the stator so that the like pole faces the wheel and the opposite pole faces away from the wheel. Sorry if this is a silly question maybe I need some more understanding of magnets. I need to look at your other vids to understand the stator, but it seems to me just the angle of the stator makes the attraction fade out, but i guess it dosent. This is the future of course, but it has the very real effect of eliminating lots of jobs too, so we need to eliminate money, build magnetic space ships and grow up, cosmically!

I don't think that the issue here is whether a magnetic motor can work. There are many examples of working motors on RU-vid, some are very impressive. The biggest problem with almost all of them is that you can stop them with your finger. There's not enough torque to do meaningful work. There are examples that I've seen that look powerful, but where can you buy a working example?
