This is the saddest scene in the drama. I love Dylan's acting showing emotions of sadness and desperation. My anxiety hit the roof when they crawling the dessert. It feels like they are crawling forever.

I wished they didn’t mute Dylan’s cry. The BTS was heart wrenching, they should’ve incorporated it into the scene instead of having the song play over it as it would’ve made a much more emotional impact.

The drama perfectly captured the heartbreaking scene much like in the book (she whispered into his ears, Big devil you are so hateful like this… But I love you” as she closes her eyes forever) later he accomplishes everything he can to revive her soul and body with Siming’s help (the bone orchid is a big part of the story) he went through insanely pain to have Xiao Lanhua soul saved and It almost cost Dongfang Qingcang's life but fortunately, he was able to get it

Their love took a longer journey in the novel and it was too late when he realized her significance in his life, like super late. Imo, the drama did better narrating the plot of their love story than the novel. The actors portrayed their role more than I imagined when I was reading it (Demon King/The Parting of the Orchid and Cang). Novel or Drama? I'd pick the drama version every single time.

@@lnjmy9152 The book would’ve been difficult to adapt 100% into the drama due to strict censorship which is not allowed to stay true to the original story since the plot is kinda ruthless, more twisted, and the way his character was described (bad&jerk). I’d say that the drama is adapted 25-30% from the book hence a lot of scenes that happen in the drama are quite different from the book with varying plot-wise as well as changing some parts and adding plenty of support characters to fit the drama environment. I'd say that the drama is definitely a very loose adaptation however it works well the way it is. The drama used well the scenes, and narrative threads, adapting some parts of the dialogue, and character descriptions appropriately it was a good decision from the drama team to do it! Overall I loved both (drama&book). I think both the drama and the books are amazing. They each have their good and bad points but they are equally impressive^^

Uea in the bts Dylan was so into the character, it took him some time to stop crying. Very much like what Gong Jun in the scene when Wen Kexing knew Zhou ZiShu's time is not much. I do love these actors and actresses when they're their characters💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

The saddest part was, the sacrifice also was triggered by DCFQ hurting her intentionally as the only choice to save her. He had not married her yet, had hurt her though he did not want it and finally lost her. DFQC devastation was greater than the male leads in AOL and GMP. Though a bit similar escape (sleep, did not want to wake up) with the female lead's escape behavior in eternal love ten miles of peach blossoms, DFQC made it worse. He was burning himself to demise wih the memory of his beloved one. Tbh. The writer, the producer, the director were really briliant to arrange this.

Wang Hedi's crying in this scene reminded me of when I saw him in Meteor Garden. Near the end, his character lost it and ugly cried. I don't think I've ever cried along with an actor before that moment, but something about the scene and his crying hit me and I started to bawl with him. That's when I knew that he was more than just a pretty face. The same thing happened when I watched this scene-- very rarely is it acceptable to completely lose it crying in a scene (it's often unrealistic), but it works perfectly here because a) it's Wang Hedi and b) we've never seen DFQC completely lose it until this moment. It still makes me teary-eyed when I watch it, and again, that doesn't happen to me very often.

This is real suffer. Dylan did not play. In the episodes of emotional suffer, he does not play. He really suffers in that moments. I wish him to successfully leave the role and leave all the role-playing emotions and feelings in the film immediately after the end of the movie.

Если Эстер Ю так его хорошо раскрывает, как актёра, можно ей простить и "плоское выражение лица"! Его просто не замечаешь! Эти двое создали шедевр, именно в таком дуэте! Значит, так нужно было небесам, все неслучайно, именно Эстер Ю вызвала в нём такие эмоции, которыми он поделился со всеми нами! Я благодарна обоим!

she used the sword that the chidi woman used to kill to herself to entombed the Moon tribe soldiers. This broke the curse and severed their connection and her death also freed those entombed soldiers.
