You gotta think. Less smoke=more power. More fuel actually being used. Get an intake and let it breath and try to match the air/fuel ratio. You’ll see gains
I had the one the went to 225 on my lly that was a 6 speed manual, it was fun! I've had friends with banks, edge, an bully dog. Havent messed with efi live but ppe seems the most powerful. Might break some stuff but o well lol
@@cadeneby5186 no I wouldn't recommend it unless you wanna be fixing your transmission sooner then later never tune a stock diesel unless you have the proper stuff done first
I got a 2001 lb7 only 93,000 miles. I really like it all it has is a K&N cold air breather and tow tuner. It doesn’t smoke burns clean. Has enough power for what I need.
but honeslty id highly suggest getting efi live... those ppe tunes are awful for ur truck way too much fueling and timing and anything over 80whp tune is going to fry that trans real quick..
@@ericmartinez5633 I have destroyed my share of Allison's, even a built trans has to go through the relearn process so you won't kill it either. It's not as critical, but if you are daily driving it on tune 2 or 3, then switch over to 5 and rail on it, you are going to hurt it eventually.
@@jaymetimmerman5024 absolutely! this video is what not to do. i have this on 160hp tune but i dont drive it crazy. i drive it like a baby for mileage. LDS bosch injectors 3 years also, along with hsp intake, hsp cold and hot side intercooler pipes, ppe up pipes, 95gph lift pump, 4inch straight pipe, ppe boost fooler, transgo jr valve body mod for better pressure (not the whole shift kit because you gotta actually dig into the trans for that. waiting to get a RDS supercore turbo, and then next year gunna get a stage 4-5 trans built. hoping for 550-600hp for a daily reliable driver :) oh the truck has 325k miles
I sure hope you upgraded your trans and your oil dipstick. Otherwise you'll blow your head gaskets out your turbo and grenade your injector housing. Just something to think about.
@@willypeters6311 I’ve found some on a couple sites kinda hidden but they’re really expensive and idk if it’s legit or not I just don’t wanna get gypped
@@willypeters6311 oh you are in kilometers ohhhhh I was reading 80mph then thinking the thing was just slow to adjust but it was really just going to 100kmh 😂 I thought it was WAY less accurate than it should be watching the video back now yeah I think you should try another timer though the truck should be faster maybe it’s the trans that’s a lot of power for a stock trans
