this is literally my favorite ending song and i fell in love with it instantly😭 i was so lucky to be able to see LMYK live at animagic she was wonderful!!! her performance really touched me and when she sang zero it was like the best thing ever oh my god.
I learned the entire lyrics and I can't stop singing it. I listen to it on repeat and repeat and repeat, IT'S TOO BEAUTIFUL AND ADDICTING!! Literally, my favorite anime ending besides Rokutousei no Yoru (No.6 ED) It makes me cry for some reasons, idk maybe all the emotions coming from this masterpiece, especially after these past angsty manga chapters... So beautiful, so perfect, just like the story itself. Both the opening and ending themes are just so fitting. Vanitas no Shuki became my favorite anime. I even read the manga and that's a big thing for me because I don't like to read and every mangas I started because of an anime ended up being dropped. But not this one. This story has a very special place in my heart and I'm so glad I got to know it :)
Mochizuki's other work Pandora Hearts is also a beautiful story Though sadly the anime only goes up to vol 8 of 24 If you're gonna watch the anime, a word of advice: the episodes after the Duke Barma arc (or the story of Kevin Lenard) is just filler to make the season 12-13 episodes Even then id reccomend the manga because they make some changes in the anime (plus you get little gags between chapters here and there) Its my all time favorite story and its also a great journey of watching Jun Mochizuki's artstyle develope into the beautiful style it is today with Vanitas
I thought this couldve been about Now and Vanitas' platonic love, but after listening ti the lyrics carefully, i think it mightve been about Vanitas and the person he truly is that he always denies, how he relies upon himself, how he is the person he trusts and the only one always there for him, but he denies it all the time. (Since Luna was there for him, maybe thats why he was so attached to him)
I 'm having a hard time choosing whether to interpret the lyrics as: being saved by meeting someone dear to you etc OR finally being whole after realising something beautiful (your inner self) was there loving you all along but you suffered, now it's starting to change etc OR you finally meet someone dear to you and realize the same love was potentially inside yourself all along before etc Either way this is so beautiful, relatable, but thinking how it's from Vanitas' POV I'm just ;-; even more emotional and just shocked
It's more about finding someone, and loving them. It's a ballad from Vanitas to Jeanne, if you take their names "emptiness" and "god's grace" then it becomes even more apparent, especially when you realize Noe is Noah and that he brought Vanitas and Jeanne together just like Noah brought one of each male and female animal. He took one Vampire and one person who threw away his humanity and calls himself a monster, essentially two monsters together.
This ending gets me all the time. Used to listen to it when the anime came out. But after completing the anime and manga I stopped listening to it. But now when Vinland Saga season 2 came out with 'Without Love' ending theme so I could not stop myself to come here.
@@akasukiuchiha3397 yeah it just flows better, plus i think its really cool when japanese singers go out of their way to make an english version then mix in the original language Just adds an extra layer and its great
