One thing I have always admired about Victor is how seemingly effortless his playing is. His hand motions are so fluid. It just baffles me how much is going on when he plays something like this, as he is playing with his eyes closed most of the time and how relaxed looking he is while playing. He is definitely someone who is "one with his instrument".

It is like that, when I try to play something from him my hands seem so busy, but his hands do not move that much. He plays relaxed.
I've been a fan of U Can't Hold No Groove for well over a decade. I can't describe the feeling of the smile creeping across my face as the melody slowly betrayed the song he was getting to. This is absolutely delicious.
How he rearranged the central part of the original version is unbelievable...creativity in its purest form!! Victor is for sure a World heritage, I'm grateful to have the honor to listen to his Music. Greetings from Italy!
his musicanship has got to be one of a kind. it seems like he is always able to enter that super concentrated emotionally expressive state. no matter what. i admire this man.
The most insanely impressive part of this whole thing is that he literally started off not knowing what he was going to play. And it moved into a thought out song. Incredible.
The 'bearded guy with the glasses' you all are referring to is one of the sickest guitarists I have ever heard...his name is Eric Struthers. You all should youtube him sometime. Had the chance to play with him while touring with the Neville Brothers and I will never forget it!!!
The bass guitar is an outstanding instrument, it's exactly in that place between the drums and the guitar where it can be both melodic and percussive as fuck, and Mr. Wooten takes that to a whole fucking new level. Add a loop pedal and I lose my fucking mind over what this guy can dish out
The year was 1998 and an 8th grade version of me would come home from school everyday and butcher a vastly inferior version of this groove because i had to be able to do this...I still cant.
