Onboard footage of Race 2 at Silverstone National in the 2024 Civic Cup. Please like and subscribe to the channel Huge thanks to family, friends, sponsors and everyone who has helped me get on the grid for this year
Although this is a comment to you Dave, it goes for to everyone in that race. That was one of thee most respectful, professional and mature races I think I've ever seen! There were many occasions where, in other (even the more "professional") categories a car would've been eased wide into the gravel trap at the last corner. Or failing that, a bump to the rear bumper to assist them wide. But there was none of that in this race and everyone on that grid deserves the up most respect. 😃 From watching the livestream, I too thought there was going to be a big accident. But credit to everyone's driving ability there wasn't and it made for an absolute spectacle of a race. Counting down to the next race now. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos for us Dave 👍😁. - Scott
Love this! I was one of the guys you spoke to on the Sunday at your tent and after the race! You let my mate sit in the car! Just wanted to say that you were genuinely an inspiration and were going to try and go for it in a couple years to compete as well! Also this was genuinely the most fun we had watching a race this season we were going nuts with how well you did mate 🎉🎉
Cheers bud. I just remember being a spectator looking at the cars and thinking wonder what it is like to be in one. Now I am fortunate and skint enough to have my own car, anyone who has an interest in my car and looking round it I invite into the tent and into the car. From the driver seat was also one of the best race weekends I have competed in. Hope it is the theme for the rest of the season. Stay tuned for the future vids as I think they get better and better.
i'm new here, only found your channel a few days ago but wanted to let you know i'm really enjoying these vids! Keep on doing what you are doing and wish you will be able to develop even further! I'm just an amateur fn2 driver on track days, but learning a lot from you by watching how you are using the pedals and the steering wheel! Thank you and wish you good luck for the next races as well!! :) :) I would be really interested in watching a vid of your cars setup\modifications! :)
Thanks so much bud. I have had the request a few times to show setup and mods but have to be fairly carful regarding setup incase other teams look at what we have done. Everything on our car is legal regarding the championship but don’t want to give away things like spring rates and amount of shims we have in our rear axle ect. Could maybe do an edited one making sure we don’t give away too much. Also don’t know whether I am too good infront of a camera haha. Thanks for the support though and if you need any help or advice feel free to drop a message.
Dave, that was great racing, however i feel your car is a little down on power compared to that other FN2 it just reels you in on the straights, but your car does turn in well, and you are good under pressure... Well done
Thanks bud, yeah that is just the way it is. We have a standard engine out of a car that had done 110k miles. The fn2 your on about has a built engine so will make more power but more important more mid range which helps you get out the corners. The cost of that engine is close to price of our full season haha. Yeah we have the car handling fair well now, can put the car where I want it while carrying mid corner speed.
@@davemarshallracing One of my friends i used to race against in ZR runs Josh Bromley (Adrian Wray) he is a good lad and builds good engines at a good price.
Oh I know Josh. Had a great race with him. Just come down to budget. No matter how cheap a engine build is, it isn’t cheaper than a scrap yard engine which isn’t that bad in comparison for the money
