Nice video! Feeling very blessed to be sitting in a warm house and my car safely in the driveway. Absolutely no intentions of going out with this mess...
Did you notice the Postal Delivery person did not even open the door, let alone step out? Kinda like they were in denial. Of course they got stuck. Glad it wasn't me!
Yea right. Whereas someone else has to work. They repair the broken pipeline and improve other infrastructure so that lazy dog like you could stay home and live in your pretend world that you think magically repair itself. Be proud of it?
Aint that the truth. I have lived in the Martinsburg / Hagerstown Area for the majority of my life. So many deaths on I 81 just from the VA line to PA line which isnt really that far on 81. Dont knwo what it is about it, but just is treacherous. Was so much worse when they were still doing the construction for years adding the new lane.
Hagerstown. back in the 60's and early 70's have fond memories of stopping at the old Tortuga Inn restaurant for lunch with my parents and brothers while on vacation traveling from Uniontown PA to Northampton PA on then US 40 to visit my mother's parents!! we used to make sugar water with the sugar packets. I always got a cheeseburger and a chocolate milkshake. boy, those were the days!!
God bless the plow drivers trying to keep the roads open. As a Former OTR trucker, I have been stuck up in this region many times don't miss the mess. Be safe everyone and Slow down.
@@sleepydoppy8516 I know :D I was hoping it would be a snow game, but wow the amount of rain that came down on them during that game was making it hard to play also.
Me too. I went to Cracker Barrel and spent over an hour just sitting there watching the snow and the fire place. Had some delicious breakfast. Went back to there later on before it stopped snowing and turned to rain and had afternoon lunch :D
Gosh! I'm only a couple of hours south of Hagerstown in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia close to I-81, and I got freezing rain but no snow. Amazing how localized the storm was.
To my big rig family out here on the roads stay safe, the government and some 4 wheelers hate us but we do what we do to provide for our families no matter what conditions.
I drove from Boston to Roanoke today on I-84/81… passed through Hagerstown just after 5 PM. Pennsylvania was a disaster. There was a semi truck just ahead of me that fishtailed and slammed right into a guardrail, blocking both lanes. Luckily he was able to move out of the way before too much traffic formed and another accident could have easily happened. Tough conditions out there today for sure.
Some do; some don't. I found Chicagoians definitely forget how to drive - winter or summer. They think they are in a Nascar race. However, when I lived in Wisconsin and especially in Rochester, NY, the drivers drove slowly and carefully.
I love it and miss driving in that fluffy white stuff. I'm retirerd but can't forget the many times I drove in WHITE-OUTS. This is play time for me. WEEEEEEE!
Thanks for the videos. I live right here in Hagerstown. I went to Cracker Barrel to sit and watch the Fire Place and watch the snow. It was so beautiful. In the videos there was one clip around 4:14 The trees, power lines, the road. It looked so beautiful that I wanted to just paint it.
@@franktall7705 lol i thought that too when I first heard it.. but you can see the wipers just went by, it was them and the rubber scrapping the window. If that was something else, I think it would put a dent in the ceiling when his head head it from blasting off :D But ya, I am pretty sure that was the wiper blades.
stay off i81 in md & pa in these conditions.those crazy bastards care more about their phones & screens than their or your lifes, even on dry sunny days, they NEVER pay attention to the road.
I heard about that accident while watching storm chaser brandon out on I-70 he was telling people he was going to I-81 then north saw a T&T accident on I-70 just east of Hancock
We'll be thinking of that in September when you're watching the tropical updates for developing circulation. Do you have a back up hotel room in Georgia? LOL
@@ForkNLeanshurricanes are not every year and they always have a name. A thunderstorm here is 12 inches there...every year. So many every year you can't name them. All those tractor trailers have your food and clothes. But hey hey don't chokee on the artichokee when looking for a needle in the fray.
They crash on 81 on dry pavement this no surprise it's everyday occurrence the road has too much traffic it should have 2 more lanes both north and south bound
So glad here in STexas..still in the 60s worn a jacket three times due to rain..thevOnly Snow I want to see is on a Christmas Card.. Take Care out there folks
I was in Indiana chilling out when this was passing by, didn't drive at all, now as of 01/09 another one is coming, so I'm staying chilled, cuz I know I have to drive the next day, and I see people they drive like there's no tomorrow,, I know we have millions of tomorrow days, so chill out guys and be safe
Why are there always so many accidents out there? It seems like there are massive pileups when there isn't even a lot of snow. I live in Minnesota and a big east coast snowfall is an average Tuesday for us. They need to learn from the folks in Buffalo.
I can’t believe it’s cold and snowing in the wintertime! What thee heck is going on? Iceland had a volcano erupt so I guess that explains everything…..hell freezing over and all that stuff.
They need to outlaw large vehicles staying on the road during major storms. Semis, buses, mobile homes, etc all need to stop and wait it out. It would save a lot of lives.
@@bevfromnc6607 I was a teacher in VA for seven years...lived mainly in the North most of my life...but moved there for the job. There was one day when there was a forecast of snow and the school district canceled school for the entire day. About 9 am a few flakes fell and stopped. That was it. I laughed so hard. After living in VA, I lived in AK for 3 years. Rarely did I see school canceled for snow. It had to get pretty bad and get very cold before they would do that up there. You just toughed it out.
