01 Pokemon RS-ORAS Opening Theme Mixed 

as a child, my parents could never afford buying me a gameboy. luckily, my friends have gameboys so on my 8th birthday i begged my parents to buy me a Pokemon Sapphire cartridge. I would just play my cart by borrowing one of my friends' gameboys when I visited them. I'd play with them all the time, swap cartridges when my time was done, and vice versa. We even practiced battles. good times. As I grew older I just played on emulators since even though we didn't have a gameboy, my parents at least bought a PC to help with our studies. Now, I'm a working adult and after 4 years of working and paying debts, I could finally spare money for myself and bought a secondhand 3DS. I can never play Alpha Sapphire now without watching the intro and then tearing up. I finished AS so many times now, I still tear up every time I watch the evolved intro, even at the part when Prof. Birch talks until you arrive at your house. I'll admit, there were some features in the game I think they could have done better, but damn it all, I love ORAS.

The beginning of the intro is always soothing and I will never forget that

Hearing the main Pokémon theme come in at 0:44 is so amazing when the two versions are synced up. The high end notes of gen 3 are really bold and sharp, and the low end precussion and orchestra of oras make it all feel so alive

This was basically the only part of ORAS that wasn't kind of disappointing. It wasn't a bad remake, it was just missing something. But I played RBY and LeafGreen at the same time growing up (sometimes literally because I had so many GameBoys) and played GSC shortly before HGSS came out, so I had a different experience when it comes to remakes. I like GSC more than HGSS because the Gen 2 games were a mystery to me for so long until I watched a whole Let's Play of Gold and then got the game myself. I like FRLG more than RBY because I grew up already having LG as I played the originals. I probably had them before FRLG came out, I just don't remember. But they were hand-me-down games from my three brothers. And my favourite brother gave me Blue, which is my favourite of the three. And technically Red and Blue are Japanese Blue split into 2, so Blue wins. Pokémon Red is Pokémon Blue. BDSP are kind of like FRLG in terms of remake. But they didn't have a bunch of islands and a hint toward future Galactic shenanigans. Or last ones. But I wonder if there's some plot brewing or I've gone crazy like Locklin or whatever that guy's RU-vid name is.
